Actually this board has sucked for years now. It's gone progressively downhill at roughly the same pace as Mike's talent/career. There used to be a lot of laughs here, but now it's just a bloated unoriginal repetitive waste. Like Blobb.

He must be a widower, and they're visiting so he's not alone on Christmas. I hope he's in assisted living -- he looks like he has early signs of dementia, just like Earl, you know? I would have chosen a better photo spot than outside the rest rooms, though. Maybe this was the one spot where he would cooperate and not wander off or act up. It sure helps paint that picture when he treats the wife exactly like one of the girls in each photo. No adult affection or sexual tension. But what more would I expect from a man who actually says "drinky-drink" after riding his "scoot".

Reasons why the article sucks ass:

1. El Spic has an idea, a pipedream if you will, to reinvent and sell bookmarks, which we already have and are free.

2. "I had completely siloed the app company and the broadcasting company, when in reality they are working in tandem." Newsflash: you do not have and are in no way connected to a BROADCASTING company.

3. And of course he managed to work a particularly lame buzzword "corporate culture" into the discussion. I'm surprised we weren't treated to an excursus on ROI, Time Value of Money, and curation.

What are the odds that the interviewer, AU graduate Dan Beyers, is part of El Spic's cohort?

Even with the weight loss, Carla is looking a bit matronly. I bet her ass has as many ripples as the sand dunes of the Sahara. Typically it takes at least two kids for the "mom body" to permanently kick in. Carla probably rolls over each morning debating hitting the treadmill or diving into a bowl of Captain Crunch, takes one look at Mike and thinks "Fuck it. Crunch Berries are a fruit, right?"

Exactly. These dudes try to find things to hate. Reality is, like you said, family looks and Oscar and Todd are doing great on the tech business stuff. Show is still going strong after years and years and years, despite all the fake hate here.

No one here is trying. El Spic's business model is to get people to pay for bookmarks, and if his rimjobbers come here to try to justify that nonsense, it's all white chlorine-smelling gravy. Time fuckin' value of money.

Again with the "headlines". But to your credit, no spelling mistakes. Before you get gangrene of the dick from your perpetual hardon for THE NATIONAL WASHINGTON POST, google "Jimmy's World". And don't forget the involvement of editor Ben Bradlee in the coverup following the murder of Mary Pinchot Meyer.

It's an article. On a website. About a business that has neither staff nor product. I guess that's kind of a success.

Good for LOLscar for getting some publicity, but the whole "one app per podcast" thing just doesn't make sense. I listen to 10+ podcasts, so I should install that many apps? It works for the simpleminded Klubbers who don't know any better, but you're not going to grow the listener base with an app. Someone might run across TMOS on itunes or somewhere else and subscribe if they are already listening to podcasts (and then bail and delete the subscription 10 seconds into a terrible opening bit), but I don't think many people are browsing apps on itunes or the google play store to decide what podcast to listen to. Why not sell a TMOS specific physical mp3 player. Who would want a general purpose podcast app when they can have the fun and overhead of keeping several up to date? And based on complaints from the Klub, it sounds like commercials are injected as well. Hooray! Sign me up. Also, why is he having a hard time finding developers if ToMo is his co-founder? I think Mr. Moore knows the true meaning of ROI and is just humoring Big Softy.

There's already an App that does everything Oscar describes in the Wash Post article. It's called iTunes. It's a market maker and it represents a ridiculous lack of business acumen on Oscar's part that he would develop a product there is no market for. What's he going to produce next? An online auction site? A social networking App? What a fucking joke.

HA -- using Oscar's dreaded "multiple steps" to track down the Post bit online, I find his question was how to find tech talent, adding that he'd already "tapped into a network" of software developers.

The expert's (from O's biz school, natch) amaaaazing advice?

"...entrepreneurs should stick to the sector they know best – their own – to find the talent they need. Use the connections you have in your own sector to network and find the right people. Most likely, you’ll find someone within one or two degrees of separation of your contacts who can connect you."

Oscar's reaction? “I have been attempting to recruit software engineers outside my circle that were connected to tech firms. I’m excited to reach out to my podcast family per your advice and see what connections can be made."

Bottom line? Advice was to do what he'd been doing. He said he will stop attempting to do it differently and go back to what he's done.

WOW. boom bam bam and pebbles.

How many years has Oscar supposedly been in this business? And his best option to "curate" talent is to open a phone book and call some high priced tech software company? First, a firm won't give a small operation the fucking time of day. Second, there are countless developers doing this shit on their own. Third, there are countless online resources for finding said people. Fourth, I guarantee Oscar has no fucking idea what type of developer he even needs.

I agree. I use DoggCatcher as my podcast/RSS app and it works for all the podcasts I follow. 1 app, multiple functions, no need for dozens of individual apps cluttering up my phone for no good reason at all.

This is the obvious answer. I don't want an app for each individual podcast (which apparently is a drain based on the reviews), I want them all in one place to make it simple and easy to get to. Exactly what Apple already offers with the Podcast app, for me. Oscar's trying to invent something that's already been perfected. Not a great business model, but then again, this is the guy who's sunk so much time and money (and time value of money) into TMOS anyways so it's not like it's the worst idea he's ever had.

Let's be honest; most of us were excited to see Oscar reach out and give Mike a platform. That was 6 years ago and Mike' phoning it in at this point. Oscar was a fool to continue with Mike beyond the show where Carla cried and finished with a "Fuck you Oscar".

There is no one with business sense or talent lined up to work with LFF. In fact there's a long line of people like Buzz, Don, Kirk, Langer, Mickey, Officer Meg, RJ, Ronic, Tony Perkins, Jimmy Cerrito and Patton Oswalt heading the other way.

Oscar has a lot of other great business ideas:

- Use crushed wood pulp and water. Let it dry into 8 1/2 by 11 white sheets that you write, copy or print on. Oscar calls it "Santana Sheets."

- Take a bunch of wax. Melt it and pour it into long, thin cylinders surrounding a thin fabric rope. Let it cool. You can then use a lighter to light the thin rope so you can see at night. Oscar calls them "Santana Sticks."

- Get some rubber. Melt it and pour it into a giant "O"-shaped mold. Let cool. You can then attach to the rim of your car and drive around on it. It's called...

Get an original idea, Oscar, you fucking clueless POSER!!!!

You guys are stupid and jealous. If Oscar's business idea wasn't valid it would not have received such coverage in the Washington Post. It would be a valid business if it attracted money or listeners not because the Post ran a story about it.

True dat. His cofounder is the developer of such massively successfull apps as White Noise, Compulsive, and SpillZone, yet he can't build the proposed product. So El Spic has a "company" with no product and no employees.

Other valid stories that the Washington Post has covered today:

Police: Taekwondo instructor knocked out a 5-year-old
The billion-dollar robot question — how can we make sure they’re safe?
My crowdfunding campaign: A commute-friendly purse for shoes
One condo remains at Adams Morgan project

Such valid stories to risk all their credibility on!

Sorry, wrong. It's a verb too, one of the buzzwords.

Clearly you are not U_N_D_E_F_E_A_T_E_D.

The phrases "fun fact" and "protip" (a one word phrase, yes there is such a thing) are dead giveaways.
