Mike, if you're reading this, you should add 'shart' to your rhyming word journal. It rhymes with 'smart' and 'fart.' Could be a candidate for your next poem.

I would venture to guess Robb has no fucking idea who Scott Weiland was. The extent of his music knowledge seems to end at The Beatles, and even that seems a little hazy (imagine if Imagine was a Beatles' song).

I listened to the show today for the first time ever - I'm a huge fan of the old D&M show, and actually regularly listen to the old shows, which have moments of (as far as I can tell) complete genius. I'm constantly staggered at how those guys could fill 4 hours of live, random radio every day and make it so incredibly engaging. There were moments of great failure as well, and hypocrisy, which was always fully admitted and those guys seemed self-aware enough to admit that. It was an art form.

The MOM show is just stunningly mediocre. 75% of it is high pitched laughing - totally forced and uncomfortable. There's almost nothing natural about it except maybe Mike, but those other guys are freaking unbelievable. They contribute almost nothing and seem over-eager to be "entertaining". The laughing is just so annoying. It's really disappointing.
Not that I know what it is like to put together a podcast, but as a consumer of them - it is really pretty bad. I'll probably keep listening because there is a level of comfort that listening to Mike brings - a familiarity from growing up with D&M, but I probably won't like it.
To be fair, what I've heard of the DGS is also rather dull but somehow feels more genuine.
Listen back to those old shows, especially mid to late 90s before they went to New York,and right after their show started to be censored in the mid 2000s - they adapt like pros, and still keep it interesting.
