Obviously LPS was a charity case for years and it was fine as long as they kept LPS far faaaaar in the background and made him the target of their abuse."

Bo Bo only looks out for himself. When Don left. he leached on to Mike knowing how lazy Mike was and how much content he needed. The stuff McBride came up was so lame. Mike let it go on. Bo Bo Survived.

Ever hear how Bo Bo SCREWED John Norman???? What a dick. He is the ultimate leach. He can not do anything on his own. Big Daddy Kevin started lower and look at him now! He took it and ran. Bo Bo took it and sucked on the tit to survive. His wife pays his bills. How small is his inner ego. The robin Quivers of the show. Only, that is not a career with TMOS as it would be with Stern.

Until this day, no one in the history of the world has claimed that Kevin Meaney is their favorite standup comedian. That's like saying Chad and Jeremy is your favorite British Invasion act. It's a mathematical improbability.

As for Robb's role on D&M, you have a "producer" who wasn't allowed to book guests or screen listener calls. Robb was essentially a paid (mostly by Don) intern. As for a radio personality, most of his on-air time on D&M involved his barely audible shouting off-mic when Don called on him. Don knew what he had in Robb. Mike May know, but is too fucking lazy to do anything about it.

Mike takes Cody to a used book store to get his favorite child a book. He takes a $6 book to the register and offers to buy it for 2/3 of the price. The cashier has the unmitigated gall to tell Mike they don't discount books, so LFF just leaves the book on the counter and walks away (in search of Jr).

Once again, Cody goes shopping with Dad and leaves empty handed.

Robb then dumps on another book store customer, a stranger, for failing to keep up with Cody as he runs wild through the store. I thought that was Mike's job, but he's too busy trying to cut into those crazy high profit margins that used book stores enjoy.

Way to stick it to those book humps, Mike!

Nice to know I didn't miss anything this week. Who the fuck talks about Liza Minelli and Judy Garland anymore....and thinks it's funny??? Even Kevin Meaney is a ragged out talent. He's no "get." Maybe 30 years ago. Now, he'll play your local "Laff Bucket" comedy club for a $10 cover. He definitely falls in the BFD category.

I don't know and / or can't remember the "inside" stuff, but I've always wondered...Robb MUST have some other job other than TMOS, right? Even Mike too? Those Amazon links don't pull that much do they?? To raise and kid, and a wife for that matter??

As for Don. I'm not paying for his show to hear how many times he can talk about pot smoking and saying the word "shit." Fuck it. Also, of all that talentless crew he had in Sacramento (aside from Joe A.), that Phantom(e) guy is the worst he could get stuck with. Really, Don would work better with Charlie Stossel, who always kind of reminded me of a funnier Robb. You can be that Don pays Phantom(e) in bong water.

Well, to be fair, it was 'Maine Mike'.

He countered the price, but that's how it's done in Maine. He fully expected to get into a bargaining situation with the owner (and what? settle for $5.25?) and was clearly offended when the guy was having none of it. Douche.

So I "bought" a copy of the Open Mike audio book from Amazon (just like LPS helps LFF "buy" mp3s from their "sponsor". Listened to it off and during a long road trip and was pretty unimpressed.

Three things I remember most. They talk a lot about getting fired from WJFK. During the down time LFF rode out a non-compete contract, got paid handsomely to do nothing. Got married, not much else. Oscar worked his ass off, worked his business contacts, did a complete career switch and worked his way up to VP at his new job. And at the same time he was the driving force that put the TMOS podcast together pushing and pursuing LFF to do it. Originally Oscar wanted to be the behind the scenes guy and not really on the microphone because he didn't want to intrude on the LFF chemistry but they brought him on board as a talent too. LPS begged for a job at WJFK doing anything and they still rejected him (good move!). Other than that he did....well....that part of the book is kinda fuzzy but I'll go out on a limb and say nothing. Then he just sat around and waited for Oscar to do all the heavy lifting to get the ball rolling.

LFF talks a little about the RELM split, very little. He says he was very VERY sad to see Buzz go. Also this guy named Ronick left too, whoever he was, no big deal.

Third there was pretty much a whole segment directed to this board, LFF calls himself "LFF" and talks about the haters. LPS says he knows exactly what is wrong with him and he doesn't need any suggestions "from the help" i.e. us oh what he needs to do to fix himself.

It has been 0 days since LFF yelled at Spewakk for being lazy or doing something stupid

I wouldn't know. I only listen if someone here references a particularly awkward/asinine/putrid or unintentionally hilarious bit. This thread is much more entertaining than anything the failcast can produce.

And Carla attacks Oscar and accuses him of not being loyal. I wonder if Princess Dukes resents Oscar for keeping Chad viable in the podcast world.

I swore off the TMOS show until a new episode of It's Mickey dropped. The last one I listened to was LFF talking in great detail for pretty much the whole show about an ordeal he went through moving his TV to face the lanai instead of the couch in the living room. Sounds like I haven't missed much while I've been away. I bet LPS squealed like a little girl when the name of a beetle came up. Damn I hate the beetles almost as much as I hate Elvis.

Amazing! Not many people ever have to deal with car seats. Or kids or installing them! Interesting stuff. Did anything happen to anyone worth building a podcast around? Any opinions? Guns still bad?

I remember Carla already asked Mike to install a car seat, he never did it and she took it to the fire department. Then Mike complained she wasn't treated with enough respect or she had a small wait time or something. Maybe they needed to do it again in Maine or perhaps it came loose when Carla plowed into the barricade at that gas station...

What kind of retard can't install a car seat? You have 3 clips that go into their anchors and then you cinch the straps....there's no velcro involved, so what's the problem? They are literally idiot proof...even Robb could install one

I've had car seats and have been in accidents with kids in car seats. They are not hard to install. If they are, you are an idiot or bought the wrong car seat (which still makes you an idiot). The original intent of fire stations inspecting the car seats was to ensure they were already installed properly. If it took a while to get to Mike Jr's seat, it's because it was supposed to have been installed already. As for LPS knowing what's wrong with him, I assume that means he knows he's a fat, bald, untalented failure and will stick to the course, even after his wife eventually leaves him.

I never found dealing with a car seat that difficult a task. But I'm not someone who throws a tantrum when things don't work perfectly the first time. It probably is for the best that Mike had someone else install the seat for him because if he had done it himself, no doubt the car seat would have been thrown and perhaps broken and he would have had to call Kappy for money to purchase a second one.

whine all you want, but I described EXACTLY how to install a car seat in Mike's car(s)...There is an anchor between the seats, beside/under the seatbelt ends that you clip into and then there's the one that goes over the headrest...Lawyered

Hey give Todd a break. It's a total shock when a pro wrestler dies suddenly. It's still real to him, dammit!

LPS wants you to know that he loves music. God, he loves music. Too bad he's a lazy sack of shit and has neither the energy nor the inclination to learn to play an instrument. So I guess what he means is that he loves sitting on his fat ass to LISTEN to music. Christ, does this guy have ANY hobby that requires some discipline? Oh yeah, that's right -- making 200 fruitcakes during the holidays.Pathetic.

I'm sure Hess thinks of "Rowdy" Roddy Piper as a WWE wrestler who might be nice enough to give him the time of day, but I doubt it. I did like him in "They Live," which was an Ah-nold type turn that never got Piper to the next level as an action star.

Piper would have stretched him, and that would not be good. Hess must be a 3rd inbred cousin of Robb.

Cool it Mike. It'd be tough to believe that any of us are kids in a basement if we're mostly D&M fans. And believe me no one in their teens gets any of your or Robb's queenie references. But that's the picture you have in your head of your haters, right down to Internet Tommy and screaming "I'm not one of you".

I've installed car seats without any problems. The only time I've ever needed assistance from the fire department for anything was when I tried to Velcro my Xbox to the wall. Turns out I needed to use the industrial strength Velcro. Who knew?

From last week, Mike read an entire news article about the inevitable Pacific Northwest earthquake, so now he's sounding the alarm. He said repeatedly that it's not a question of IF, but WHEN. Let's just pray he can generate enough concern and compassion to avert the crisis.

The last earthquake there was about 300 years ago. Robb says we're practically overdue, since we've dodged the bullet for almost 300 yrs. To paraphrase Blazing Saddles, Robb is a tectonic twat. He's got two kids theoretically heading to college, the family breadwinner is dumpster diving to feed the family, and Robb is focused on shifting land masses on the West Coast.

At least Mike has a reason to worry; his meal ticket lives out there.

I hope the Krew also stocks up on suntan lotion, because it's not a question of IF but WHEN the sun becomes a red giant.

If the Pacfic Northwest does falls into ocean or falls victim to a tsunami, the damage will be immense. But that pales when compared to the fact that we will have to listen to Mike claim incessantly that everyone should have heeded his warning.

Cary: Sorry, Mr. P. When my husband proudly installed the car seat for Jules, he, to his credit, popped by our local fire station with her some time later for confirmation that he had done it correctly. They were horrified he had driven her there like that and fixed it for him. In those days, the car seats were much simpler to install.

(By the way, I hear Mike presented himself to the Maine fire station as Mikey's grandfather... "these newfangled things," etc. etc. as he didn't want to appear to be the incompetent primary custodian father of a toddler).

I'm not the "Musicologist" Robb is. And I certainly don't have an Alan Freed jacket and microphone collection, nor do I have a bathroom dedicated to Elvis. But when it comes to the Beatles, even I know they made pop music. For Christ's sake, they used to yell "to the toppermost of the poppermost!" It was documented in several books and films.

I think, in Spewak's head, Mike and Oscar are "the help." I haven't, and will never, listen to an episode of "Frosting And Fudge," or whatever he calls his failcast. What an idiot. God, Spewak loves laziness.

Also, as a former follower, I won't read or listen to the BROKEN MIKE book. Spewak has a speaking role in it? Like, where Mike ended up has something to do with Robb? I call bullshit. Maybe TMOS is in the rut that it's in BECAUSE of Robb?

Like everything TMOS they screwed up the Open Mike audiobook. Oh, my mistake, "spoken word album".... even though they referred to it as an audiobook the whole time they mocked Oscar for struggling with his part.

Mike couldn't be bothered to record his own book ( as opposed to Adam Carolla, Stern, Limbaugh, Larry King, Glenn Beck and virtually every other media figure you can name) but they couldn't line up his sister, Cousin Ben, Cary and other luminaries so Mike did impressions of them. Robb leaped at the chance and they made Oscar record hours of stuff which is definitely not his strength. I'm doubtful Buzz, Ronick, RJ or Don contributed.

Two observations from this week's Mailbag segment...One, Robb admitted to writing one of the entries...again...and the other, Mike has turned into Jim Varney and the guy who played Col. Klink? It appears that Mike hates doing the thing he is famous for...His impressions used to be Top Shelf, and people STILL want to hear them, yet he grouses about doing them to the tiny segment of his fans who still listen/financially support him?
