Personally, all of the above at times, but, really, maybe the last two options are pretty much the same. Try Harder. Also, to quote Larry King: ......... Why you care?

Edit for this: Unless you come up with a relevant interaction, I won't respond again. Check with other trolls, I only give them one chance for each registered name.

The person that wrote this post actually had the balls to call the people here disturbing...

That post you made could've been a note in a horror movie written in crayon and left on the hero's doorstep. That's how fucking creepy that post was. Seriously man. Fucking creepy. I agree with the dude who said you aren't normal. You're fucking whacked out.

You are dumb.

1. Download - download the show so that a copy resides on the phone, computer, iPod, media player. Can be transferred between devices and played over and over.
2. Live - watch or listen live, via Ustream, as it is being recorder, in real time.
3. Streamer - stream the show from YouTube, iTunes, Ustream etc., anytime, so that a copy does not reside on your computer or phone. If the source file is removed, user no longer can access content.

Three different things. Not the same.

There isn't much left to say on the subject. I cannot imagine voluntarily reading/watching/listening to a product that I disliked. To seek out such a product to do as such, is beyond comprehension. To then obsessively discuss the experience for days and months and years, defies logic. It seems incredibly painful. Disturbing really.

What do you all do for a living? If uncomfortable with disclosing the profession, how about the fields in which you all work? Are you happy? Are you doing what you love?

Love him or hate him, one thing can be said for Robb is that he's made a career for himself doing what he loves. He and is his family seem to be doing just fine. And let's not pretend like they are solely reliant on his wife's retail salary, as if Robb brings nothing to the table.

Robb seems pretty happy, at the least, he's content. On the contrary, you all just seem really angry.

In a nutshell, why the Failcast sucks:

On Monday’s episode, Mike took a moment to give props to BDK for the work he does on TV. Good for you Mike, and well deserved for the former WJFK intern. Here’s the sucky part. Just as Mike was beginning to good-naturedly ream Spewak for not being friendly with BDK, Spewak says “no, it’s all good now” between him and Kevin. Why is that, asked Mike. Its because Spewak liked that BDK posted a photo from a location used in The Sound of Music and it shows him that Kevin appreciates older films. (For shit’s sake, Rob, come out of the fucking closet.) Here’s where it got suckier. Just as Mike was going to go back to reaming Spewak for being “such a queen,” Spewak plays a song from The Sound of Music and then the two queens went off on a musical tangent (I guess Oscar was checking his phone through all this). What happened next, I don’t know, I bailed. I was hoping for a moment when Spewak would take shit for being surpassed by light-years by BDK in the broadcasting biz. Nope, once again Mike let Spewak hijack things and steer the fucking show down the shitter.

Saying the people here are jealous of Robb is fucking hilarious. We're jealous of his "drive".

To answer your other question. I work in a law enforcement field. I'm not a cop but I work closely with them. I enjoy it, make pretty good money and can use the "making a difference" line (to a very small extent).

I know it's easier for your little brain to just assume everyone here is unsuccessful in life and angry but I think you'll find the majority of posters in here are pretty educated and relatively well-off.

Now I have a question for you. I dont listen to the show anymore. It's been over a year since I have. I still check in here because it's entertaining and I dont want to miss Mike having a stroke or throwing a hissy fit and shutting down the failcast. Do I still qualify for the hashtagobsessed?

WTF is wrong with Spewak? He said on C&C recently that he just purchased 5 Kurt Russell movies on DVD through Amazon. I mean, I kinda get the microphones and old records as he fancies himself a DJ (I know, I know). I even get some of the Elvis stuff. Shoot, lots of people collect Elvis stuff. But Kurt Russell movies on DVD? WTF does he need those for? No way in hell his kids want to watch those. Its getting harder for me to get angry at him. I truly think he has a mental condition. At a minimum, he's a man-child who didn't, or can't, grow up. Katie and her husband have full-time, apparently decent playing jobs. Oscar does a million things, and yet Robb can't find the time to do anything on the side? Does he not get that Mike is sitting on IRA/401k money that he can tap into soon? What does Spewak have? A cut of money from a podcast with a small, cult following that relies on a rich heiress to keep their heads above water. What 44 year old man buys Kurt Russell DVDs? Let alone, one who makes peanuts and has a wife who is losing her low paying retail job and has been reduced to dumpster diving to salvage old furniture. It's weird and sad.

This following post right here I liked. I liked it a lot. I too bailed on the show. I bailed about three years ago. I liked it and then after a while it got to where I couldn't stand it. I hated it. So I stopped listening. I love this thread for the exact reasons the following poster illustrates (enjoy keeping up with the fail, but can't imagine actually listening to it).

Yep Robb loves doing what he does: Taking advantage of others who do the heavy lifting, Don, now Mike, Cary, O5car. He has the drive too! A short drive to McDonald's for two quarter pounders with cheese. One thing Robb doesn't have is a back up plan. What would he do if Mike folded up the pod?
Oh right, he's a consultant!
As for what I do, I love what I do. Get paid reasonably well and strive to do better everyday.
As far as this thread, I come here because at first I thought I was the only one who thought the show sucks.

Okay, I like the Semper Fats, any post with a photoshop, and most of the Cary/Carla routines. I liked the Buck Buck guy before he went away. And I enjoyed the spoof Kraft baby marshmallow posts, because those really pointed out the flaw in the casts' collective misunderstanding that what makes the bit funny is when they are real ingredients one might encounter in a kitchen or grocery store, and not stupid nonsense like burning tires and velociraptor eggs.

That's for sure. And probably why we're at each other's throats here. The podcast isn't even good enough to complain about.

Most of us enjoyed the Don and Mike Show and I know I enjoyed personality driven radio. For a while I was frustrated that the FCC, the big radio companies, various short sighted program directors and scared local stations were weeding out the personalities. They need clean cut, boring hosts for fear that an advertiser might be frightened, or so we were told. Now watching O'Meara do boring, hack radio when he should be free of those restrictions is painful. He's a hypocrite or maybe those hosts were all full of crap. For the most part I hang in here and comment like a Redskins fan during a bad season. It's my team but I'm invested even when it stinks. Just my 2 cents.

I cannot imagine anyone outside of Mike or Robb themselves mounting this type of defense. First of all no one would defend a host based on their passion or heart against complaints about content unless you're defending yourself or a loved one. Second it sounds too much like John Candy's "Go ahead, make fun, I'm an easy target. But I like me, my wife likes me.." speech at the end of Trains Planes and Automobiles. Or as Mike's dolt of a son calls it, "Boats, boats, boats"

I don't know about this week's shows but I agree that the show altogether is boring. If it were on terrestrial it wouldn't even score a one share.
Do they ever get away from what's going on in there lives, (which are boring), did they talk about Cecil the Lion? The new rocket engine, Trump, or stuff like that? I never know because I guess they cover that in the news, which I never get to.

It's truly amazing. They are almost instantly forgettable. Either I have very early onset dementia or the end of the show contains a special neuralizing tone which wipes the memory completely. I've listened to the shows but there is absolutely nothing that stands out enough to imprint a memory.

OK, I don't feel like going and finding the response to quote it because you are so popular lately, but I did notice even you couldn't describe three different states of listeners without referencing the same service twice. I'm not really saying you're wrong about this, but even you must know there are certain moments that can't be streamed right now that I can download.

To address your recent subject, if you have been here for more than a year, you would know that the "hate" tag was given to us by MOM and Rob themselves, not really an emotion brought up too often by posters here, Vitriolic Hatred isn't an emotion, it's just what Mike thinks is here. So, once again, try harder, go more than 100 pages back and you may understand.

What if the end of TMOS occurs on a "Friday" podcast? Those who only watch on UStream will never see it.

While the odds of that may be only 1 in 4, the odds of Summer Spewak wearing a Run DMC, Ghostbusters or Elvis t-shirt or that bowling shirt are 4 in 5. Winter Spewak wearing a hoodie? 100%.

I'm sure if the end were near they'd be transparent and discuss it. You know, "pull back the curtain" and begin preemptively returning any bonus subscriptions! The Bonus packages that Mike sold by angrily threatened to end them unless they climbed to 2% of the listener base. Or .02% depending on Spewak math. How are those doing? The good news is if they lose enough listeners the bonus subscribers could actually become a larger percentage that way.

Robb got to where he is, first of all, by being a STOOGE that could give Don Geronimo show content...PERIOD. Over the course of the D&M show, he proved his worth, doing the stuff that nobody else wanted to do. Later, he became a fair producer and worked his way into "buddy-hood" with Don. But, bottom line, he was a sidekick that convinced himself he was a major, working part in the machine of that show. When Don "retired," what else was Mike to do? He had to take Robb to keep the "continuity" between the radio shows. When Oscar brought the concept of the podcast to Mike, Robb had to be a part of it, mostly because Buzz was as funny as a cold sore. Robb's problem is, he thinks he "belongs" there, and that he's earned the wings the Don and Mike had. But guess what, for all the resume that Don (and Mike, sort of) has, it doesn't mean dick anymore because that sort of radio is OVER. Robb, like Mike, thinks he's entitled to a radio career. Hell, MIKE is a pretender, Robb is even BELOW that.

You have to also remember Don fired Spewak as a producer several times. Don gave him so many chances.

I don't even remember Spewak's role in the later years. Seems like Don kept him on the show as charity.

Well said. Robb started out as a "wacky caller", then became a "wacky intern" and never really grew from there. I'm not sure it's his fault, I just think that's all he's capable of being.

My frustration with him (and Mike for that matter) is his laziness. There is nothing preventing him from working part-time somewhere else. Hell, he's got the time and the other job might actually provide show material.

Mike said back when the podcast started that if not for Oscar, he'd be a Walmart greeter. It was a joke of course but considering his age and health, he could do that. And then he could go through the store and open stuff and put it back on the shelf. Robb could go back to checking groceries. It's not the best gig but it's something. More than they are doing now. Re: All things Robb
Yep. The "Shock Guy Talk" format is dead.
Talking up Beatles records is dead.
so what would Robb's working option be?
Board op? Nope, because real radio stations don't use Mackie boards and Ipads. They use sophisticated platforms like Nexgen and Audiovault. Hell a lot of stations don't even use interns anymore.
The average studio engineer is responsible for everything now. The board, commercial logs, transmitter logs, phones, and pod production + uploading. While Robb deludes himself that he's in the bizz, he may as well have been fucking off. Which is exactly what Podcasts are. What Robb's resume will reflect upon perusal of a PD is, "inactive" for 5 years...
and he's a fat slob.
who'd want that?

This. You have to think Don couldn't bring himself to fire Spewak outright after Spewak ingratiated himself by asking Don to be godfather to his son. Somewhere along the way though, Don grew weary of the Wacky Weeble. Now they apparently have little if any communication.

In terms of Robb, there are so many areas we could go into. But the fact remains he's coasted his whole "career" on the coattails of other, more talented people. All he knows how to do is be a clown. The act no longer sells, and Robb is desperate for any kind of recognition, which is why he makes you aware of his every move, his every snack buy, his musical tastes, etc.

When this podcast ends, he's finished. I await the day we find out more about him via the police blotter.

BTW...that pic of his teenage daughter being "arrested." I assume Robb also has pics of her in handcuffs...what "parent" would do that to their kid, even as a joke?

Creepy as shit.

As a public service announcement for those of you who actually still tune in to the failcast... Today's show? Do not bother.

Unless of course, you want to hear Kevin Meaney be interviewed by the krew, (why would you?).

Or perhaps you'd like to hear about which fruit each one couldn't live without?

Maybe you'd like to hear how Liza Minnelli and Judy Garland are related, while Mike blows your ears out trying to play the fucked out "Aliiiiiiiive.." clip from Liza. That of course spins off into a HUGE queen discussion, where they all talk all over each other, and LPS cannot keep it in his pants throughout.

More lame, outdated celebrity trivia with Noel? Yeah, I didn't think so.

According to Geronimo he subsidized LPS out of his own pocket for years to make up for his low WJFK wages. After Don left LPS switched over to kissing LFF's ass full time and ignored Geronimo, hence the current tension between them.

Obviously LPS was a charity case for years and it was fine as long as they kept LPS far faaaaar in the background and made him the target of their abuse.

The real question is why was WJFK paying him so little? Because that's what his time and talent is worth. When the podcast first started I remember LFF, Buzz, and Oscar were lamenting about how much their take-home pay had fallen. LPS was in a great mood because it was the most money he had ever made.

Long story short, LPS: The people sitting across from you every day see you as a charity case, they take pity on you, and if you were forced to go out in the cold hard world and make a living you'd be asking to move back in with your mommy and/or daddy.
