"Hey, it's 7:23 here in beautiful Fort Myers on WLFF -- good time radio for your sunshine life. That was Lionel Richie with "Hello," and I'm saying 'Hello' to all the members of the Mike O'Meara Good Time Club! Sadie Perkins is 97 today, and we'll be doing a live remote down at the Sunnybrook Nursing Home just for Sadie on Friday, if she lives that long! We'll have weather and news at 7:30 with Dawn Giggles, but, first, here's Elton John, with 'Sacrifice'."

And then he'll finish the bottle.

Sounds like the city utility pinned a Final Notice on LFF's front door. For all those dummies out there that think the failcast is profitable, this is proof positive LFF is still losing money hand-over-fist. Apparently Carla pointed out the notice to him and he had to go down this morning to take care of it.

Carla, if you are reading this, you are still young and attractive. Get the fuck out of this crapfest before Orca takes you down with him.

Mike was trying to keep his temper in check while Cappy Pfeiffer (His Sugar Momma) was sitting in the last couple of days. Watch it explode as soon as she leaves.

Poor Marc hasn't been able to line up advertisers so you know he's catching the heat now that Mike can't pay his bills.

Mike: Stop blaming everyone else for your failure. Sitting on the couch and yelling at people for one hour a day isn't work. Put a little time into the show prep. A list of five topics isn't show prep. Bitching about how you hate everyone and everything isn't entertainment.

Rob(b) has the thinnest skin of amyone on that show, and he is also the one who attacks and shreds other for the smallest thing. You can practically hear his blood boiling when someone makes fun of him. He and Oscar are going to come to blow

I tried listening a few weeks back, but Rob(b) and that fucking La-La-La douchebag song he'd play...

Anytime Mike kicked it to Oscar, doing laundry, going to AZ, "LA-LA-LA!" was piped in so loud it killed the momentum, something Rob(b) excels at.

Fuck him!

I listen-pretty much every day-but its getting harder because it SEEMs to me, and maybe I'm wrong, but it seems to me that RObb is talking more lately. He is just so fucking awful. I mean the guy has the worst voice and lives in the small window of history that existed btwn radio and mass produced color TVs, say 1936 to about 1952. A 16 year window-excluding WWII, of which Im sure he knows nothing about. So knock that window down to 12 years with the subtraction of the WWII. 12 fucking years of culture, strictly about old radio, show tunes, b+w movies, and not even the good noirs, and juke boxes. The one topical theme he can discuss is reality music shows. That is what he brings to the pod cast in his stupid voice. He has no life experiences to work with.

Mike has been around lived a good life, and has some crap to draw from; therefore he has an identity he can work with/from. Buzz has life experiences and is a liberal pot head-thats his identity, but he is moot because he doesnt bully his way into the conversations. Oscar is the young hip business man with the stupid life choices and apparently good semi good business ones and a good family; a good identity to draw from, esp with his crazy life.

Robb has nohting to personally draw from. His identity is from a time when he was not alive. The guy cannot talk sports, politics, girls, video games, -not sure what else is left. The only thing he reall has, and its a good thing, is that Im sure he is a good parent and family man, but he refuses to ever discuss this stuff.

So all WE "GET" is his music lists, the recordings of various kids and you tube clippings along with a costco worker (who seems to have scared him off recently) in an audio vault format which should be limited to about 10 minutes. The problem is, Rob wants to talk during the entire show and get the last word in on any quip or jibe-but he has no life experiences to draw the audience in with. And lastly, the worst that can be said about him is: He is lazy-that dont cut it in the entertainment industry if you are climbing your way up the ladder and trying to arrive.

One thing the crew refuses to make fun of him for is when his voice cracks...he is very sensitive about that. They (along with robb) will all dog RJ for speaking poorly but no one will touch the voice cracks that occurr from Rob almost daily.

fuck robb and his lame and stupid puns. And his lala song and calling ronic a jew-over and over and over again. The guy brings nothing. And the crew was spot on about robb bringing "another music list" to his audio vault.

Lazy and unfunny does not equal entertainer and the show is going nowhwere with robb dominating and bullying everyone but mike out of air time

If that happens, yes we will, absolutely. I don't see it happening, but we deal in reality here, not some fantasy world like Mike lives in, so if it does happen and this show turns out to be a big hit and the springboard to some kind of big comeback for TMOS then good for them.

The Mike O'Meara Show
Venue:State Theatre
Time:7PM - 1AM
Doors:7:00 PM
Ages:Ages 18 and over

Price: $21.00

Event #:20120331-se5
Promoter:State Productions

I know this is slated to be star-studded event, but six hours? Hmmm, I think the 'entertainment' might last 'til say 10 or 11pm and the rest of the time O'Meara's krewe and fan boyz will hit the bar.

But @ $21 (plus drinks and food) I'm sure it's a bargain!!

Six fucking hours of Rob(b)? These guys can't even fill an hour of time. How much time can they possibly maximize from the supporting acts? Two hours? That still leaves four fucking hours of LFF and company.

I'm assuming this means the show will be over by 9pm and LFF will spend the next four hours getting drunk off his ass while fans see him turn into his pricky self.

The 'entertainment' at this shit fest will be isolated to 15-minute blocks, then loooong breaks where Rob(b) will probably be waddling back and forth on the stage with coax cables in his hands so he can disconnect and re-connect something to looking busy, engaged and critical to the whole event.

I'm not sure that having O'Meara in such close proximity to a bar for several hours is a good idea on any level, have O'Meara's krewe forgotten Fattyshack II and the drunken fight that resulted in O'Meara's knee injury already?

Or his drunken blackout at the Super Bowl gig, or his drunken fight at...oh, nevermind.

Seriously, though, how long before the attendees start to become impatient with the lack of entertainment? Especially after spending $21?

It'll be Elvis impersonator for 20 minutes, 20 minutes of sitting around doing nothing, 20 minutes of Black Gold, 40 minutes of nothing while Mike bitches about the lack of people who are there and they have to coax him out with promises of beer and "brown liquor". 40 minutes will be t"the show", watching mike get more and more drunk and Oscar just tune out and wonder what he is doing with his life. The last 20 will be watching Rob fiddle with his disc-man alone on the stage doing the audiovault. The last 5 people there, all members of the "Rob Mob" will go crazy and pat each other on the back for a job well done.

Let's not forget - they can buy about an hour of time with a hilarious "Power of Five" session, and Rob(b) can giggle and scream "who are you?!?!?!" while O'Meara runs through an "Arnold" impression. let's say another 15 minutes.

Whew!! I'm getting tired just thinking of the effort pulling that off!!

They could do "you're the mimic" and Mike doesn't have to do a thing, just listen to other people do impressions. Or they can do match-game so rob can break out the stupid long Bob Barker microphone, minimal effort by the krewe for that. Maybe "Mayor Berry" calls in! They can get Tom Gavin on stage to spell words and have Mike say them afterwards. I bet Rob has a music list of some sort planned!!!! I can hardly wait!!!

The State Theatre is pretty small. If it actually can hold 400 people I'd be surprised-impressed is probably a better word- if they could sell half as many tickets.

Was at State Theatre last night to see Otis Day and The Knights from Animal House fame(don't ask) the place can hold around 800 folks but hadn't been there since early last fall and they've added some side balconies which will bring capacity up to around a 1000

doesn't make sense to me adding all that space with all the other new clubs in town and from an aesthetic view point ain't all that appealing imo

"at times"

Robb is the main reason I do not ever listen to the show anymore. I stopped listening back when they were on WJFK because like many on here I can't stand the guy on the radio.

I'm guessing there are Robb fans out there. I'd really love to hear what they like or enjoy about him on the radio.

I never "got" the Robb thing. I kind of thought it was funny when he would laugh off mic, and when he and Mike would do some schtick, off mic, without words. When Delores appeared and he started getting more mic time, I hated him more. I dreaded the "best of" shows because they were all clips of when Robb was on the mic, then Don would call him out on it and take an hours worth of phonecalls from people saying he sucked. THAT was entertainment.

Once the new TMOS was going to launch on JFK I was hoping it would be more of the same; very little Robb. That guy must have had a boner the size of Tulsa in his pants when he knew he would be sharing mic time on a real radio show. Then, of course it comes crashing down and now he sits in a living room busting his ass to do a crappy audio vault which nobody likes. I guess he is still on KCJJ, pretaping shows in his basement, but other than that, the guy has no life. He is stuck in 1952 and loves B&W television and knows stupid trivia nobody cares about. He is jealous of the work Oscar puts in, same for Ronick and he overly senstive about the least little criticism. He must know he has nowhere to go but to Mike's living room every day to sit there and try and force his humor on everyone, since nobody else will listen.

He needs to go. Go to Iowa and be on the radio there, they'll accept you.

Spewak hasn't be able (has he even tried?) to land a paying job in a major media market (DC) since he was let go from from CBS.

That says it all - Iowa is his only option once O'Meara lets him loose.

I'll cite some specific examples later if you'd like, but generally I enjoy his contributions because he's a rapid-fire joke machine. He's an overgrown Buddy Sorrell. Another cast member makes a comment and Robb instantly responds with a quip.

They're not all funny, but he's consistently the most entertaining voice on the show.

Most of you Robb haters don't like his jokes or you think he talks too much, but he's faster and wittier than anyone else on the show. The squeezed format really requires someone who can think and talk fast.

He's also a much better storyteller than Mike.

His Robb Radio show doesn't work because he does it solo. He needs the interaction of a straight man or a foil. TMOS gives him at least three of those every day.

O'Meara's an aging blowhard who really believes he's a tough guy. When he pushes around the cast members I love to hear them stand up to him. And no one does it better than Robb.

+100. All I'd like the hear from the blowhard is: 1. How many legitimate job offers has he had from established media companies in the DC market; and 2. Why he turned them down to sit in O'Meara's living room.

There may be a generation who don't know who Paul McCartney is, but there's only one douchebag that would throw out Buddy fucking Sorrell as a cultural reference!!

That's bullshit. "Public Record" or not, that's real creeper behavior and you know it. If you're still having trouble seeing it, just turn it around and consider how you'd react if someone on this board was looking for information on your private life and posting it here.

On the other hand, I suppose it makes sense. The kind of person who would post information like that wouldn't have the slightest idea that he'd done anything wrong and would automatically attack anyone who dared to challenge him on it.

"Public Record"... as if that gives anyone a license to act like a sneaky little parasite.

LFF failcasts from his home, posts photos of his wife and house on his Facebook page, invites strangers to come paint his house and attend his yard sales, bitches on-air about how under water he is on his mortgage and blurts out his home address on streaming video. If this is "creeper behavior," it's creeper behavior LFF has invited upon himself.

Yes. And you know he probably borrowed whatever equity he accumulated in 2005 and 2006, so he could be much more underwater than what his tax records reveal.

No, he hasn't. During the course of the show or at a public appearance, he might mention some specific information about his personal life but that's not an invitation for you or anyone else to dig into his private affairs.

If you're assuming that it is, you need to get some help. Or at least think this through a little more.

We can argue about the location of that dividing line between public and private life but you can't say it doesn't exist.

He's a public figure who has put his personal life on display, discussed where he lives, shown photos of his home, invited listeners to come by his house for his yard sales, asked people to donate their time and labor to help the failcast, etc. If he gets a creeper or two out of it, it's basically his fucking fault.

I'm not changing the subject. Carl Grossman sent threats to Don at his home. He was going to be charged with a felony that was negotiated down to a misdemeanor. Nobody on this forum, that I am aware of, has done anything like that. I know I haven't.

So you will excuse me if I take exception to being compared to a criminal. If you or LFF don't like the fact his house is underwater being commented on in this forum, maybe LFF shouldn't talk about those things on the failcast.

That's what the LFF and Chad Dukes defenders resort to when they run out of legit arguments. They resort to calling people critical of the show a stalker. Anybody who wanted to get LFF's address could do so easily, whether or not it is posted here. Nobody on this thread has ever(as far as I know) so much as suggested that they were going to take their Mike O'Meara dislike any farther than this message board or maybe going to an appearance to take pics of the failcast crew and their 7 fans to post them here.

As WTL, said in the past about this thread; "it's all a big goof" (or something like along those lines). Who the fuck is actually going to go to the guy's home? Chill out. And if there was somebody demented enough to do so, they wouldn't need this thread to find out where he lives.
