Dunno about that. According to your pre-med son's pimp, he is one of the finest suckers in south beach. Heard you can always find him on his knees between the rainbow fags, I mean flags.

I have to say that Rob(b) is a good person to give relationship advice to Oscar. How he can manage to keep Carrie from walking out the door after the way he has fucked up his life is a testament to either his power of persuasion or Carrie's stupidity.

I said when that show begins this is what he does. It hasn't changed whenever I've listened. It's the "Kirk and Mike Show," not the "Mike and Kirk Show" and he should remember that.

Also someone before said something about everyone in the cast sucking, and I don't think that's true. All of them together though suck. Other than perhaps Rob(b), any of those guys could get a fairly decent on-air gig somewhere. If Chad leaves WJFK Oscar will move on to possibly a real good one. I didn't listen to Big O and Dukes much because it was on in the middle of the day but I always liked it when I got to listen. They were a good team. The MOMS team is not well put-together. Don was the force that held that show together and kept it moving. Mike is unable to do that. He should have remained a sidekick. There's nothing wrong with that. People have had great careers as second-bananas. There's no shame in not being able to pull off being the center of a show, and no shame in trying to be one anyways when you get the chance, you just have to realize it won't work after you try and fail.

Kirk made his career out of introducing songs. He is fine for what he does. But he's not Don and no one should have expected him to be...especially Citadel management.

Yes.

Funny, though. When Citadel cancels a program or make changes, they keep Shamrock. Wonder why JFK didn't do that with Rob(b), who is so scary good at his job?

But Kirk claims that he's a "comedian" in fact claimed he was on 1992's list of Up and Coming comedians. Shouldn't some of his humor translate to the radio? Please don't take this as a defense of one LFF (because I mega loathe him... I do)... Also I slept with Cara... just sayin'

So today's failcast was boring as shit...

Being the masochist that I am, I listened anyway. One thing was confirmed on today's failfest, Rob(b)'s wife definitely wears the pants and Rob(b) knows it.

Oscar prompted Rob(b) to discuss his "financial arrangement" with his wife, Rob(b) reluctantly laid it out. So he's not allowed to carry any cash, he is permitted to use a debit card, for his daily expenses (monitored by his wife). Any purchases over $80 must be cleared by his wife. His wife also pays all of the bills.

Rob(b) is truly a useless man-child in every respect. Most couples discuss major purchases and have "rules", but this arrangement simply illustrates that Rob(b) cannot function as an adult and must be lead around by his balls like the impotent child he is.

It's like Rob(b) actually is one of those caricatures of adult males with families you see in commercials who is grouped along with the similarly helpless, stupid, and immature children and the pets all of whom look to Mom for whatever minor domestic issue the product being advertised is meant to address.

I can, and have, gone to Best Buy and picked up a $2,500 TV at the drop of the hat. I don't ask my wife. I say, "Hey, I'm going to pick up a TV." And I do it. No issues.

Jesus, if I had to live like Rob(b), I can see why he spends more and more time at Mike's. It has to feel like having your fucking balls in a vice.

At this point the only thing Rob(b) is accountable for is Rob(b), and he has fucked that up royally...

If you are the breadwinner and handle the finances you should be able to buy a TV or whatever you can afford. Of course, Rob(b) is certainly not the breadwinner, by any stretch of the imagination. He is basically the "wife" and the failcast is the equivalent of a book club or selling Mary Kay, etc. It gives the little lady something to do.

But shit, if Rob(b) was my "wife", he at the least better give damn good head!

So what you're saying, Northman, is that MOM's shirt pocket works much like a cast-iron grill grate in that it channels the liquid coming off the "chest fat" and centers it around the breast for full expression?

So LFF does his usual change the topic on Mr. Kirk this morning and somehow ends up talking about a trip he took to Germany with an ex-wife and how he disliked going to the castles. it involved some climbing and walking was one reason.(See bump picture) But the other one was laughable, LFF says his disinterest in castles stems from his dislike of seeing how the wealthy live even if it be centuries ago. He has a dislike of the wealthy being ostentatious and exploiting the poor. LFF is for the little people. Is this dude delusional with his yearly purchase or lease of some gas eating monster vehicle and spending money on gambling and drinking despite a poor financial situation and frankly treating folks like shit. yes even those little people he claims to be so sympatico with. I believe LFF has had his deck shuffled one too many times. Oh yeah at the end of his fascinating story about the trip to Germany and espousing his concern for the downtrodden of this world he says to Mr. Kirk I don't even know how I got on this topic. What a gasbag

I don't find Mr. Kirk particularly funny but he does know something about rock music which LFF has demonstrated time and time again that he does not. Plus I rarely have heard Mr. Kirk sound like the human douchebag that LFF continually displays.

LFF is all for the "little people." Like restaurant employees who didn't get their last paycheck?

Rob(b) apparently doesn't care. What I don't get is why Carrie sticks with him. For the kids?? What kind of role model is this fat ass? Does she want her son to grow up to be like Rob(b)? Does she want her daughter to marry a guy like him?

Look, it's possible -- barely possible -- that Rob(b) is a decent father and husband, if you leave aside that "earning a decent living" thing. But a guy who drinks as much as he appears to, and is lining himself up for that first heart attack at an amazing rate, isn't putting himself in a position to just BE THERE for his family over time.

Steve Jobs, Mark Zuckerberg and Sergey Brin might disagree.

Regardless, the problem isn't Rob(b)'s being online. The problem is his complete abdication of responsibility for taking care of his family.

It would be one thing if it were a question of health or some other circumstances he can't control. In this case, this is a disaster of his own making. He is approaching two years of this farce. If he is waiting around waiting for a "jack pot" of Mike getting a new gig and hiring him, it's a fool's errand. Each day Rob(b) works in pretend radio the chances of him getting a viable radio gig again become more and more remote.

If it bothers the MOM defenders that we spend time on this board ripping him, ponder this:

1. We do this for FREE.
2. But we're not LOSING money doing this.
3. Which puts us ahead of the failcast crew.

Hey Northman. Do you really care?!? I got bored posting them because they were so predictable. Mike was always doing about twice as well as Don, but Mike could never break above #50. (Range bound, as they say on Wall St.)

Plus it was starting to really upset most people. I love teasing people, but not when it causes genuine rage. You were about the only one who appreciated the ridiculousness of it all. Take care.

Glad you figured that out. O'Meara lives to plug the podcast for ratings and reviews to try and help out his cause. Don doesn't even know what iTunes is.

It's stupid to point it out, because it's not a competition. Take a look at the actual ratings for O'Meara vs. Geronimo on the radio and that's as clear as day. Don = smash success. Mike = clinging to a job and fighting a losing battle.

But yeah; in my opinion a good troll is a pleasure to watch and, like I have said before, I am definitely a fan of your work.

This thread is almost always good for 5-10 minutes of amusement per day for me. But seeing disagreements between one anonymous –poster and another anonympus –poster degenerate into personal attacks is just the height of ineptitide, futility and misplaced rage in my opinion.

It’s also where I check out too.

Take care.

Why didn't he just say: I'm unemployed and bring nothing to the table financially for my family?

I've known people who get laid off, or hit a bad patch of luck regarding work and my advice is: Do Something. If it means bartending, waiting tables, retail work, do whatever you can find to: 1. pass time, and 2. generate some money.

Rob(b)'s insistence in pursuing the mythical "O'Meara Pot of Broadcasting Gold" is pathetic, it ain't gonna happen, so it's time to get a job - after all, pre-show prep and post-show analysis for the MOMS shouldn't take more that fifteen minues which leaves plenty of time Monday thru Friday to do something that generates $$$$.

Rob(b) should look a O'Meara's situation - the big guy almost certainly thinks the WVRX gig is beneath him - but he's got bills to pay so he drives to Jennifer Street every day and at least makes an effort.

Rob(b) should take notice - Circut City is always hiring, I think Rob(b) would look great in the CC blue shirt and he could watch TV for about ten hours a day - unless he's banished to the appliance department!!

When that happened on the old D&M Show I didn't get it. If I'm remembering right Don was out and Joe didn't come in one day because he had had enough of Mike? At the time Mike seemed like the "nice guy" or the two. The laid back guy that shows up and does his thing and goes home. I never thought he was a dick and thought at that time that Joe was being a little bitch about something, or he was just hung over.

Then Mike got his own show, and I finally got it.

Anyways, there's no reason Rob(b) can't get SOME kind of job and still do the ONE FREAKING HOUR podcast. This is what normal people do when they are following some kind of dream.

I think the only reason people still download the failcast is that these MoM "fans" think they're actually friends with him, and can glom onto him in some fashion. Pathetic, yes, but this fallen "god" still manages some pull with the simple minded.

But if you look at ANY iTunes review, or talk to anybody who has ONLY listened to the failcast, (and particularly is under the age of 35), they think the show is nothing but hackneyed warmed over morning zoo dreck. As for the under 35 crowd, they're more than likely BOAD fans and listen out of their appreciation of Oscar. If you REALLY respect Oscar: DON'T LISTEN TO MIKE'S SHOW.

It really is a simple formula: If you listened to, and liked the Don & Mike show, there's a chance you might like the Mike O'Meara Show. If you've NEVER heard of D&M, the changes are slim to NONE that you will enjoy the failcast.

Yes, it was 'Best Buy' that was my bad - but while we are on the topic, Rob(b) should consider HJ Gregg or whatever it's called, they hire aggressively and probably aren't too picky about wide employment gaps in the resumes they review.

I live near the North/South Carolina border now and I've met several young men and women whose dream is to break into professional golf at some level.

By and large they all work at golf courses as a primary job which affords them affordable access to good playing conditions and practive facilities.

Then they work two, sometimes three other jobs in restaurants, golf retail or they tend bar etc. Some like Rob(b) have started families and are able to pull off the various jobs and golf dream by doing a lot of hard work.

Not a sermon Spewak, just a thought.

I don't think he's a good fit...

If there was a section of the store that only sold box sets of obscure TV shows from the '60s or earlier, maybe there would be a place for him. The only job he's really qualified for has already been filled.

Dude, Rob(b) doesn't want to be a professional golfer.

Another boring failfest...

Two points of interest:

Oscar follows up and finally admits that Kara CHEATED on him. As reported here: http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/2/89342/537284.html#msg-537284 Bottom line: they may go to "counseling". I give him props for dragging his dirty laundry out on the radio internet, but that is the only credit he gets. This common car show whore cheats on him, he tells everyone within the sound of his voice about it, then forgives her? I don't care how hot she is, the old saying is true, "you cant turn a whore into a housewife". Spend that engagement ring money on your new bitch!

Point two, Rob(b) is still a fat unemployed loser.

Oscar has a choice. He can either break it off with Kara now or in three years, when she will take half of whatever he has.

It's really that simple.

I really thought Oscar was smarter than that...

Their relationship must be shit anyway. They live in the same building, carpool to work (the same office) almost everyday. They both hang around with the same people during evenings and weekends. How can any normal guy who is that CLOSE with his girlfriend, be that oblivious to what she is doing. Yes, he's not with her 24 hours a day, but he sees her more than most married couples see their spouses, and this came as a shock to him!

Of course now, Mike will be dispensing relationship advice like a bloated, irish pez dispenser. I'm sure Rob(b) and Buzz will chime in too. This kid is fucked.

Denial is a powerful thing.

It's like people who are complete fuck-ups at their jobs are always shocked when they are let go.

Chances are Oscar was aware something was up. I mean, didn't a couple of iPhones get broken over this shit? He just didn't want it to be true. And "forgiving" her is an open invitation to her royally fucking him over even more in the future because she knows how much she can get away with.

Advice from a guy who has been married three times, a man-child and a swinger. Good luck with that.

Yeah, he had suspicions, because...

Kara got up in the middle of the night, went out on the front stoop of Oscar's apartment to have a conversation on her phone, at 3 in the morning! She explained this by saying she was talking to a girlfriend, and didn't want to wake Oscar.

He believed this crock of shit, and bought her a new phone to make up for the one he smashed. Yes, he was in major denial, but to totally forgive her and then look into purchasing a ring? That's almost as smart as LIVING in DC and WORKING in Manassas. That's the equivalent of convincing a has-been DJ to start a podcast, and then sticking around as it slowly crashes and burns. That's like, well.. you get the idea.

p.s. I bet this guy "Ben" has a huge cock, like 13"+!

I think the fact that Oscar won't break up with Kara is the same reason he won't leave the failcast. And he said it himself: "I don't to have gone through three years for nothing!" Oscar cannot let go of things he began, even after they've clearly gone sour. The failcast is one, and Kara is another. BOTH are using Oscar and sucking him dry and he'd rather try to work it out than cut ties.

Or, in the case of O'Meara, living in Man-ass-ass and working at Jenifer Street in DC.

The MOMS krew needs to grab five minutes of fame and book a session on 'Dr. Phil', who can lecture Mike, Rob(b) and Oskar on denial and responsibility and Buzzito on STDz...

Yes, he lives in a shit-hole basement apartment in DC, and he commutes to Manassas every day to work at Earthwalk. Kara lives upstairs in an equally shitty 1 bedroom.

He wants to be "close to the action". I think he lived in his parent's house way too long and wanted to get a place in the middle of the "big city" to make up for that. Instead he get's a shoe box with no central a/c and a beautiful parquet floor!

So he spends his time and money reverse commuting, has to park his car on the street and walks home to his basement flophouse every day. Yet he still has to take a cab to get to a decent bar/restaurant, so that's a big fail.

Even if he didn't want to live in Manassas, there are plenty of NOVA alternatives that would save him money AND allow him to have a bigger place, WHILE cutting down on his commute time!

What a dipshit, it's no wonder Kara fucked that guy.

I know where Oscar lives and it's a fine apartment/condo. It's pretty decent. Yes, he could get a much better place outside of DC but he really likes the 'scene' so what does it really matter?

However, his shot with Kara is retarded. REALLY??? SHOCKER SHE CHEATED ON HIM?!?!?! Oscar is a fucking idiot and she is going to roll over him non stop.

What makes for good radio doesn't necessarily make for a good life,,,

Oscar is the character that is waaaaayyyyy to superficial,,,Chad's impression of him is hilarious because it's dead on.

Oscar is the guy with the $200 jeans, the bottle service in clubs, the botox, the look at me girlfriend to ride in his look at me car,,,

I guarantee Oscar could meet the greatest chick in the world, but if she didn't look like someone who should be riding in his car he wouldn't date her,,

Oscar's honesty about all these things makes him a great radio(podcast) personality, if he and Chad were "normal" their show would suck,,,

That said, I think most fans of his are ready for him to dump that whore,,,

It'll make us feel better

Damn. Are you sure that Kara and Oscar don’t live in the same unit? I was always under the impression that they did.

Not saying that you are wrong but if this is true than that means that they can afford roughly the same living arrangements and we’ve all seen Kara’s LinkedIn profile here.
I guess I was under the impression that Kara was some hot(in Oscar’s opinion at least) piece of ass that he financially(to a large extent at least) supported. But this kind of changes my whole take on this.

Either Kara makes a lot more than I would have expected or I have been right all along about Oscar’s real financial situation.

Oscar and Kara live in the same condo. They used to live in different apartments in the same complex but when they were converted to condos, Oscar bought in and she moved in with him. While he buys her pretty expensive crap, I don't think he needs to at all since she has a decent amount of money.

Yeah, why work when you can spend hours sitting in O'Meara's living room doing nothing, or spending two days acting like a buffoon at the "Big Duff II".

You would think Rob(b) and Buzzito would try to generate some interest for the show by soliciting appearances at FFX or DC bars, even if it was nonpaid, it might lead to something.

Or, more likely, it would lead to nothing - and maybe the zero effort to push the MOMS by the krew is an acknowledgement that there really is no interest in the real world despite "50 million podcast downloads" or whatever.

These guys, Rob(b) especially, have all the time in the world on their hands - why not do something for their show and 'careers'.

Hmmm, I know the answer, and it lies in the turnout reflected in the JFK O'Meara show personal appearances and Harley outings, which were meagerly attended events.

Oh, I recall the trophies at the "Big Duff I" outnumbered the golfers!

My bad Rob(b), settle into the couch in O'Meara's living room, change the channel to "TV Land", grab that XL bag of Chitos and your 24-oz. Diet Coke and chill, the big guy will be home in a couple of hours and you all can go to "work".

Mike was funny on The Edge show today. First, he admitted that he makes Kirk do all of the personal appearances for the show because he is too tired. Then he bashed Cheech and Chong for not being funny. Yeah. Mike certainly knows what's funny and what isn't.

They did this for I think the 4th of July (?). Anyways, they went to some bar and got drunk and had a show so horrible even they said it was horrible.

Edit: If I remember right, no one at the bar was there for them even though they promoted it. It was just people who were regulars at that bar and would have been there anyways.

8 mins into the failcast and I'm ready to call it a day due to Robb's OVER laughing at a piss poor impression from LFF. Oh and Oscar starts couples therapy today.. Riddle me this since when does the victim of infidelity initiate couples therapy. The guy is a sap if nothing else

The other one was just soaked with jizz, it takes her a while to recover from those injures. She pulled through though, she is a pro.

You know, her face really isn't that great...

If it wasn't for that body, and her "look at mee" attitude she really wouldn't get that much attention. I think she was most likely neglected growing up in a large family. Probably didn't get much attention in school because of her plain looks.

During her "freedom" at college she hit the gym and made the rounds at the local fraternities and the rest is history. Car washes, car shows, radio station street teams, getting tag-teamed by a couple of wrestlers, the sky's the limit baby!

Do you think those two wrestlers did fist bumps while pounding that?

Seriously, how can a chubby, balding, limited resources pretender like Oscar compete with that?

Yeah, I think it was more of a cage match...

They took turns climbing up on the headboard and pile driving her. Then one guy would stomp his foot on the mattress as the other rammed her from behind. Just before they pinned her for the count, one guy put her in the figure four schlong lock as she rimmed the other one. When they started beating her with folding chairs Hulk Hogan ran in from the bathroom and finished (all over) her. In the end she walked away with the belt though.

(Too much?)

Shit, looks like you can hang onto a job you suck at when you are buddies with the PD...

I have no other explanation, I had heard that he was going to be let go by the end of the first quarter. Play golf with the right guy and you are golden, I guess?

I can only assume his bosses WANT him to succeed. I know I used to, at least, I no longer care so much though. But also he IS still a name recognized by the local radio audience. For all intents and purposes it SHOULD be a simple matter of just putting him on the air somewhere and he gets an audience.

Then again he could just be good at convincingly playing the "Give the show a chance to grow!" card.

Worked for Michael Hughes.

Then they both got shit-canned.

Hope his PD buddy at Citadel realizes that this reflects poorly on him as well.

I totally understand what you are saying, but...

The automated programing that was in his slot before he arrived CONSISTENTLY got better ratings. So the station could instantly save money and increase their ratings by dumping Mike.

Mike's salary is low, but they already own the scheduling software that would take his place. In the meantime they could use the cash they were going to pay O'Meara and look for new talent. Or simply just make it the "Kirk & Mike show".

It's a no-brainer, he has had about 10 months now, and the ratings have slowly plummeted sometimes as low as 27th. Not even a brief spike, sad really. Not everyone wants to pull the plug on grandma, but just know that she'll be in a much better place.

I would assume Mike is on some sort of contract that probably runs out in July. If that's the case, Citadel would be out the money anyway, so they may be biding their time until they can do a complete overhaul of the morning program in July...possibly dumping Kirk, too.

Even if they just told Mike to go home and sit out his contract it would be a win for them...

If he does indeed have a no-cut contract, I'm sure Citadel could still shitcan him as long as they send him a check. Mike would love to sit on hiss ass and collect money, he did it for 20+ years on the D&M show.

But seriously, the station would be better off without him there every morning. I bet what they are losing in billing would make up for his salary.

One thing is for sure, once this gig is up, Mike is fucked. He is with a shit agent now because the old one (don's agent) dumped him. He has fucked up two radio shows in two time slots (and made a ton of friends along the way). Truly fucked!
