You're not even creative, just mean. Just a mean, unhappy man.

And repetitious.

Adios Señor Apsberger. Enjoy Negativityland, I'm off to have some fun.

I find myself listening more to the EDGE show than I do the Sport Junkies. I just think the Junkies have fallen into a same old same old routine and find the show deadly dull. I don't listen to LFF and Kurt because I find them overwhelmingly entertaining or all that funny. I just get a kick at the LFF perpetually acting like an LFF. He never fails in demonstrating what a hump he really is

Looks like LFF is finding more and more reasons to skip the failcast. Is he finally tiring of the borecast and the laughing jackals

btw, do you think Robbay is doing some serious job searching while on vacation in Iowa this week

The level of idiocy on The Junkies gives me a headache. If JP is any indication, law school must not be all that difficult.

I'll give him credit for sticking with this losing proposition so long. Of course, all of them are in worse shape professionally now for doing so.

No. He should be, but I'm sure he believes he deserves a break for all his "hard work" on CAT. Given that he has nothing else going on, he should be in Iowa full-time looking for something.

I tried listening to K&M this morning, but for some reason I found Mike's Jeremy Irons impression incredibly annoying, so I turned it off.
As for the Junkies, I haven't even turned on WJFK in at least 6 months ( a far cry from the old days when my radio was rarely tuned to any other station).

I would not hold up graduating from the 61st ranked law school as an indicator of the overall difficulty of law schools. Temple is where you go because you have nothing else to do after graduating undergrad from UMD.

So did JP ever try to pass the bar? If he did and failed, that would indicate a lot about how much he actually learned.

I doubt it - my guess is his priority will be attempting to hang out at the KCJJ studios and glomming free booze and food from his Iowa City fans.

I checked out the KCJJ webpage and amazingly KCJJ management give Rob(b) almost four hours of air time on Fridays - with a Saturday three hour "replay".

As the old show bidness saying goes: Who did Rob(b) have to blow to get that gig?

Yeah, he took the bar and read his failing grade on the air. I think he eventually passed it though - albeit in MD.

KCJJ probably doesn't have any advertisers to infuriate by plugging them into Rob(b)'s shitfest. There's a reason why only one radio station in the country carries this crap (haven't heard much about that second "affiliate" lately). It's because it sucks and nobody who listens to it gives a fuck about life.

I seem to recall that he tried and failed once or twice but maybe passed eventually. But really, who's gonna take legal advice from a goof ball wearing an Ed Hardy shirt?

That brings to mind a latter day D&M Show classic moment I may have recalled here before: Don mentioned the name of a JFK sales staff person on air. I believe Chris Kinard dumped part of that show segment and told Don off air naming staff on air was verboten. Don goes crazy and tries to get CK on air but he won't answer the phone.

Don says: You need to talk to a frikken lawyer to do anything a this station nowadays...

O'Meara says: We could hire John Paul Flaim, Esq.

Don and O'Meara break up laughing, it was D&M comedy gold.

Slow day...

On today's failcast:

Mike complains about XXL shirts not being as big as they used to be. Yes Mike, clothing manufacturers are conspiring against you by slowly decreasing the size of their plus-size garments. As usual it's not his fault. Hey XXL shirts, TRY HARDER!!!

Mike has a new client at his "janitor job", My Weight Doctor, I'm sure this is going to work out great. Perfect fit, good job sales department!

p.s. Mike is still fat, his XXL is fitting like a glove.

Actually, there was a news story a few months back that revealed that clothing manufacturers are increasing the size of clothes but keeping the labels the same to accommodate America's growing girth.

You know, now that I think about it, I would rather listen to the Edge morning show than the Junkies. So yeah, Mike is better than the Junkies. Holy crap.

Is it a four hour "show" Rob(b) does by himself, or is it replaying MOM Show podcast stuff from the week?

I used Fireworks for the GIF, both are not really free, (you can download a 30 day trial) but there is so much out there that is. With O'Meara as your muse, you really can't go wrong.

It's because MOM reads this thread. Probably even more so that The Edge gig is falling apart and nobody gives a shit about his golf tournament.

I don't know if it was or not. It doesn't surprise me if it doesn't come up again. If he pulled the plug, he would be admitting defeat. And if he achieved the goal, you sure know he would be talking about it on the failcast.

Don't you get it, I work for Mike! No matter what is said here the point is you are talking about Mike and the failcast. Any publicity is good publicity. Yes this thread isn't much of a marketing tool but it's all that he can afford (at this point).

We are planning an entire web site filled with satirical commentary, and pure vile hatred for O'Meara, I will be running the graphics department. We are just waiting for our next round of funding to kick off that project. We expect the profit from the big duff will help us secure new office space, then we will begin building our web development team. I'm currently drawing up the business plan with our CFO, you may know him as "WTL".

It's funny they canceled today's show because of Mike's voice. Oscar can be in a car accident and on the verge of passing out due to painkillers and it's a big fucking issue if he isn't "with it" on air, but Mike gets a tickle in his throat and pulls the plug. What a hypocritical prick.

Blasphemy! You, of all, should know that Mike's pipes are the most heavily valued asset in the MOM enterprise portfolio! Surely it is not his comedic wit, or the combined entertainment value of his supporting cast...

I am assuming that Mike has his vocal cords ensured by Lloyd's of London. Well, maybe that is not such a good assumption, given his demonstrated "business acumen"...

I was doing some reading about the history of ye olde Don and Mike show and mention was made in one article I was perusing of the olde "Menendez Bros." These were two interns way back in the early days of the Don and Mike show, say 1992 or 1993. I seem to remember the Menendez Bros. loved hanging out at the then recently opened Hooters in Fairfax City and kept trying to get Don to okay having some of them lovely Hooters gals on the show. Well I did not know that Marc Ronick of the current LFF Failcast (tm.) was one of them Menendez Bros from way back. Can someone confirm this? Eff the Hobbit!

It sounds that at this point Rob(b) is the only one still holding out hope the failcast will ultimately prove successful. I just hope Carrie is making Rob(b) fill out job applications in Iowa so that this fiasco will end soon.

For the low, low price of $50 you too can look like a shitty South Park ripoff...

Yeah that's right, just send your picture and $50 to Mike and they will email you back a "cartoon" of yourself. Wanna mouse pad? then make that $64.95!

omearican_process.png

p.s. The copy on their site states that you get an "animated version of yourself". Animation is the rapid display of a sequence of still images to create the illusion of movement. False advertising, no?

Apparently his forte is fat guys with beards.

It should be noted that there are plenty of free services out there that let you Avatar yourself.

I guess since the Cartoon Network thing never happened, this is the best Mike can do in terms of compensating this guy for his hours of wasted time.

So they took phone calls today...

They took about 5 calls I think. Mike seemed really nervous and just allowed the callers to give their name and where they were calling from just before he cut them off. One guy got through twice, that shows exactly how "busy" their lines were. I think he was expecting a barrage of pissed off callers and was surprised when people said nice things, very strange segment. After taking a few calls, Mike quickly ended that activity and moved on to patting everyone on the back for engineering this technological marvel.

I think I remember listening to the Edge show a few months back that they had a call in to win some tickets to something or whatever and they got their winner and were talking to him on the air and he mentioned they had just talked to him in another segment like 20 minutes before. I believe the reaction to this news was "Oh wow, lucky you getting through twice, huh?" Or something like that. Not in a happy way like trying to cover up the fact that this was pathetic, but a kind of self-aware way that they know there just aren't that many people listening.

I still remember early in The Edge days when they had a segment where they asked callers to roast Kirk & Mike. They took something like three calls and all of them roasted Mike for being a failure. One guy said something about Mike failing as a bar owner, DJ and father and said something nasty about Carla. Kirk and Mike "laughed," but they also cut the segment short and I haven't heard it again since.

The problem with Mike trying to laugh all of that off is that its all true, and not stuff he has managed to rise above. I think we can agree that Mike wouldn't suffer a "roast".

I remember that roast too. I actually kind of felt sorry for the guy. But what did he expect? I guess he thought there would be callers insulting others in the group as much as him, but let's face facts: Mike's an easy target. What the hell does anyone know about Kirk? He is a stand-up comic no one's ever seen and he's in some nothing band, right? Meanwhile Mike's got the loss of his show, the divorces, the restaurant failing, and his well-known alcoholism. And he's a big fat guy. And he's lazy. I'm just getting started here, that's just off the top of my head.

Joe is not really a fan of mike. I think he would have just signed in as himself too.

According to Facebook, Joe A. has been working for:

Zampiello Paint Contractors Inc
May 2010 to present · Chantilly, Virginia

For about two years.

I don't think he had anything to do with the O'Meara Show @ JFK, but I wonder if he was still @ JFK as a board op or something during that period...

Speaking of divorces...

Mike briefly mentioned his ex-wife during the latter part of the failcast. Strange, but I thought he was LEGALLY not allowed to discuss the details of their relationship/divorce on his "show". I believe that was spelled out in the terms of the "agreement" they have. Maybe the internet doesn't count.

He mentioned that she "cheated on him" then quickly recanted. He followed up with a cover story stating that he was referencing an old girlfriend. The details that he gave indicate that he was referring to someone very specific though...

I give Joe all the credit in the world. He could have sat around like Rob(b) on his ass while he lost his home and strained his marriage. Instead he did the "man thing" and got a fucking job.

Good point. I'll bet Joe's income "pummells" whatever Rob(b) is making at KCJJ and the O'Meara "Show" - and Joe smells paint each day, not O'Meara's farts.

Lifescore: Joe A. 1,000,540; Rob(b) -3.

Typical Mike. He thinks he may have crossed the line, but he's too fucking lazy to have RJ or whoever cut that segment out of the show.

This thread is quite amusing. Welcome aboard!!

I don't think there are any other sites that bash TMOS show with quite the same level of vitriol as Fairfax Underground unless you consider the Failcast homepage as bashing as simply posting the episodes trashes the show about as well as anybody here can.

Regarding the pic with the fat chick and her 10 friends; I don't think LFF's daughter is actually in that pic. I just think it's some photo that somebody pulled off the net and posted in here.

EMILY: So did you listen to Mike's podcast at work today honey? I heard through the grapevine that Mike called Carla and had a really awkward conversation with her on the show about what her plans were after work. How'd that go?

BOB: When she was talking to Mike she sounded like an unenthusiastic and bored middle-aged woman, but when Oscar & Marc came on the line she perked up, got more excited, sounded young again and the tone of her voice changed dramatically. It was a very revealing moment of her marriage to the obese and outdated radio personality. During their conversation he sounds like her controlling father... and she sounds very disatisfied.

EMILY: It sounds like a prime example where you didn't even have to listen to the words they were saying to each other... the tone of the conversation proabably said it all.

BOB: Yes dear. Let's have some fondue.

Why would Carla be disatisfied with Mike? I mean, he's fat, gross, has a shitty personality, can't provide, talks down to her, is only interested in hanging out in bars, watching the Red Sox and living in the past. Best of all, he refuses to let her have a kid. What's not to love?

Rumor is she worked at a restaurant that had stripping. Whether that's true or if she served in some other capacity besides stripping, I have no idea.

Damn, that's some shit.

So there is actually at least one person on Earth that looks forward to the bonus content(and is willing to pay for it) and when he expresses some dissatisfaction with there being none this week he is basically told that he is entitled to nothing.

Thank god this is not smell-o-vision, otherwise we would be subject to Robb's B.O. and that skunky beer. Lemme guess, this was probably at like 9am or some other time in the morning. Nothing like a beer in the a.m. hours at the podunk radio station. Imagine being trapped in that studio with him and his aroma.

The guy needs to go to PetSmart and get a hair cut & flea dip ASAP. After that he needs to go home and work on his resume and start pounding the pavement looking for ANY KIND employment. This whole radio deejay "thing" of his needs to die. Talk about a guy holding on to the past.

This is like watching the Hindenburg go down..... almost quite literally!

That's what I was thinking. There's only one guy in the world who is possibly interested in hiring you and you start slamming beers on the job. What a fucking idiot.
