Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Mike checked in from Fayetteville, NC and said his room wasn't bad while he moved his cam to show his underlings the room. He said "the TV is pretty good." Oscar says "not bad, that's a newer LED." Spewak chimes in "flat screen!"
Because, you see, flat-screen TVs have only been around since the late 1990s.

Yeah, he might as well have chirped "rectangular screen!"
The high light of yesterday's Audio Fault? Robb actually played a tape of a ventriloquist and commented on how good she was...I guess we will just have to take his word for it huh?

Ventriloquism on the radio went out with Charlie McCarthy. No wonder Robbb is all over it.
Oscar said he will be doing a TMOS meet-and-greet when he goes to Las Vegas for his bachelor party. If you blinked, you missed it, he said it that fast.
Translated: doesn't matter how many people show up, if any. He doesn't care. Now that he said it on the broadcast, his airfare and hotel can officially be included as a TMOS travel expense, on the klubbers' dime.

I found the tape of the MSNBC guy "seething" i.e. no sound, riveting. Robbb said he "compressed" the incident but he basically played the same tape twice.
Note to Robbb: If your headphones bleed into the microphone they're too loud.
Line of the day: "We're on call 24/7." Just like they all had to become broadcast engineers. Did Robbb let slip today that even when he was an intern he was unemployed? He is ... The Barnacle.

Yes, the whole clockface vs using the ACTUAL numbers was pure Spewak...Why use the numbers already there when you can use your super brain and think up a whole new system?
The Music Act for the NO show is a 90s cover band with a huge catalog called Gump Fiction...Mike has already made a request...to hear some Led Zep, Earth Wind and Fire and the Doors...From the 90s band doing the show for "exposure"...He is asking people playing for free to learn new songs...for him
Mike is really concerned about getting the free opening comedian locked in over 6 weeks out...Any chance he has written one line of content for the upcoming show?
Robb thinks that if you use natural gas, they bury a tank in your yard...What does he think the NG pipelines are used for?Refilling the giant tank of NG buried in your yard?

And that's why Robbb sucks. It's totally lost on him that his "system" not only doesn't work, it doesn't exist!

SHAKING MY FUCKING HEAD at the idiocy on this show.
"What is this whole house generator? Is it a battery?" No, You idiot. It's a generator. A generator that can power your whole house. Hence the name: whole house. generator. SMFH
The tank in the yard. SMFH
Robbb not realizing that propane sometimes explodes but diesel generally doesn't. SMFH
Robbb not realizing that gas from the gas company is not propane. Not 100% sure he actually said that, but SMFH.

We're not wrangling any new listeners and constantly don't subscribe and advocate not subscribing to the boner shows, so this site is a net negative for TMOS revenue.
You really don't understand how "living in someone's head rent free" works.

Thanks for the translation.
It's hard enough understanding blabbering Mike. I can't possibly hope to understand drunk blabbering Mike.
Mike O'Meara lives in peekza's head rent-free. peekza visits this forum hourly, yet he projects his Mike O'Meara obsession upon others who make light of it. Its quite funny to watch. Who is peekza? Bitter ex-intern who Mike fired years ago? Obsessed fan with mental issues?

My apologies for my last post. I'm obviously projecting. In fact, Peekza is living in my head rent free and I am obsessed with him. I also reference deviant sexual behavior frequently in my posts because i have latent homosexual desires. Carry on.

That, and don't forget fixing the video connection problem.
If Mike would get on the stick and buy that new laptop he was talking about all their problems would be solved. It's a pretty standard solution in the IT world.
I was hoping to hear about Oscar's bachelor party.
Can't believe Mike and Robb made no effort to go. And made no gracious effort to cover their 'can't be bothered' attitude. Pretty bad.
After all Oscar has done to start this podcast up and keeping it going -- despite the inflated ego and inherent laziness of the host (not too mention the obnoxiousness of the resident slobb). Well, now he must know what these two ingrates think of him.
Blah blah blah Mike is stupid, Mike sucks. But we hypocrtically cant stop listening to him and rambling about it here because we are broke fiftysomething, mediocre losers and we have no other talent in life, so we've resorted to becoming gossiping little bitches. Lets all take turns sucking Mike off since we secretly worship & envy him. Blah blah blah.

I've been listening to BOAD podcasts, currently on page 23, and it's a more consistently good product. Listening to Mike say "Lost Wages" over and over when they're talking about Vegas is not good radio. The Price is Right is not good radio. Playing the same Laurence O'Donnell tape twice and saying you've "compressed" it is not good radio.
Is it possible we're radiophiles? Who know good when they hear it and know that no video for 3 days in a row is technically "a problem"? And we're criticizing Mike for being a fiftysomething, mediocre loser with no other talent in life?
Mike tried to shit out his usual Political Persuasions bullshit on O'Reilly but O'Reilly simply outclassed him without breaking a sweat.

Yeah, I'm sure Oscar wouldn't mind being without High-maintenance Mike. He'd be an embarrassment in front of family and real friends. But it's gotta suck to know that your work buddies couldn't be bothered.
And Mike, for goodness sake, get your lame excuse straight: "Carla wouldn't let me. Waa-waaa" or "Carla doesn't tell me what to do!"

omg, yes. sputtering Mike is a hot mess.
It goes to show you that talent and knowledge trumps ignorance and laziness.
I liked it when O'Reilly shut down Mike's attempt to go all Political Persuasions on him but for me the high point was O'Reilly saying about his crew at Fox News: "We operated like an elite military team." O'Reilly is a jocksniffer just like Mike.

Politics aside, O'Rielly is a straight talker and effective communicator. One can understand what he's saying -- without necessarily agreeing with him.
Think I'll go on Amazon and get the book, "Killing England."
A few questions/observations from the Bill interview...How many times did Mike plug the book? Easily over a dozen...Also, how many uhs and errs were there? And listening to Bill put Mike in his place was awesome, cutting him off at the knees when he tried to play the anthem kneel as anything but disrespectful...Haven't heard Mike eat a shit sandwich like that since Don was still working with Mike.

I would love to hear Robb's critic of Tony Romo...Romo has done a great job so far...Easily surpassed Collinsworth as the best analyst in the game currently...I can't wait to hear fellow commentator Spewak's hot take
On the opening of today's mikeosho the Great Fanpage Unwashed took him to task for not yelling at O'Reilly. That's what you get when you have a closed fanpage, it's an echo chamber. Mike admits the fanpage people are "dullards" and calls one in particular a "cowardly douchebag".
That was my first thought too. My ruling is that it goes in the Robbb Was Wrong archives.
Because Robbb is too busy being on call 24/7 I've done the research he should have done. While at Marist, O'Reilly was a punter in the National Club Football Association, which is not what most people understand by "college football player" but he also played semi-pro baseball for the New York Monarchs. He was a pitcher, not a catcher.

How is Robbb planning on getting to New Orleans? He's probably too damn big to fit in a plane seat by now.

Do you think Mike even knows that his Facebook is a closed page? He's always referencing it on the podcast as if it's open to the general public. That it's something his podcast listeners can see. He seems to think that the things he posts are visible to people and not just a small group of fat ass dullards. (his term, not mine)
