So, since I haven't been listening to the show, are Mike and Oscar on the outs...for real? Hopefully, when we see those pictures of Oscar with his face in his laptop, he's sending out resumes. If he gets another gig, he should kick Robb and Mike's interest out of the DC studios, since neither of them probably know where the lease agreement is.
I'm sure now Mike is probably thinking; "Let's try and get the fabulous Kevin Meaney in as our regular Friday guest co-host! Ay dare boyee."

"Donated" candy to the church only to find out later they wouldn't be getting that same candy back. They had to accept the junky candy that others volutarilt brought to the parking lot, while those people that got the turkeys last year are probably enjoying his good candy.
Didn't buy candy to give out because "We don't get Trick or Treaters." Gee what type of community doesn't have kids in it? Even the gated comunities of Granite Bay open up to kids on Halloween.

Sounds like Mike resents those entitled turkey takers.
This whole episode is a metaphor for how Mike's man Bernie would run the country. Douches like Mike give up their hard-earned candy so that everyone gets junky candy. And the takers get more than their fair share.
Mike has no problem with everyone's taxes being used to pay his health bills and put Michael thru college, as he stated last Monday. MBA wannabe Oscar should have pointed out that we are 19 trillion dollars in debt under the current tax system. Are they going to tax the evil insurance companies to pay for everything else?

This whole episode is a metaphor for how Mike's man Bernie would run the country. Douches like Mike give up their hard-earned candy so that everyone gets junky candy. And the takers get more than their fair share.
Mike has no problem with everyone's taxes being used to pay his health bills and put Michael thru college, as he stated last Monday. MBA wannabe Oscar should have pointed out that we are 19 trillion dollars in debt under the current tax system. Are they going to tax the evil insurance companies to pay for everything else?

So It's Mickey is toast, guess that means I can start listening to the TMOS show regularly again...oh joy. With all the recent drama on BOAD (and here) I figured why not. I watched Thursday's show, 1398 on youtube and I got 7 minutes into the show before I turned it off in disgust.
Oscar is pissed off, LFF is prickly, Unemployabble is his usual self, and there's tension in the air. They start into the birthdays and I couldn't take it anymore. LFF flips out reading an unusual name and Unemployabble giggles, chortles, and squirms with fat joy whenever LFF reads one of his childish hack puns. They have the video feeds on youtube set up so you can see all three of their faces at the same time and I think Oscar was blinking out "kill me please" in morse code over and over again.

Regarding us obsessing with other mens' lives. They're the ones who think their lives are so damn fascinating that they can just show up and prattle/rant/whine about whatever they did in the last 23 hours they were not "working" and then they get indignant when listeners like us bail and radio stations ignore them.
10-15 years ago the old D&M show was the highlight of my day. They did 3-4 hours of material, they prepared and put effort into it, I'd talk and laugh with my coworkers about it. Watching how that amazing show slid, fell apart, and followed the path of least resistance until it turned into the current TMOS is just sad. Now the only way it's entertaining is to listen ironically and point and mock at how far the mighty have fallen.
It's like I've witnessed a slow-motion train-wreck that's lasted 5+ years.

It's the end, man. I've been thinking about it and I miss Don and Mike, O&A, Ron and Fez and even Big O and Dukes.
Back during WJFK's hey day you had contests, various guests, ongoing stresses and some amount of daily news or national stories to discuss. Not to mention a Don Geronimo or Chad Dukes who could make a trip to OBX or Walgreens interesting.
Today on Ant or Don's pay shows, or Mike and BOAD, I can listen to a man sum up his day only so many times. Ant and Don have some crap guests and make some attempt to talk about issues but the majority of free shows are a bore. TMOS, The Phil Hendrie Show, Bennington; I'm pretty much just checking in with my Buddays to see what's on their minds today. Not to mention the abominations on the More and BOAD networks like Minority Report or the Rob and Joe Show. All boring and almost no prep. Chad is content to tell me about how much some guys named FootsNotLeg drank over the weekend and call it a show.

I agree, the "in house" dynamic is lost on these pods. The daily machinations of the office, and related co-workers is what made it relatable. They were saying the same things about other people that you thought but didn't have a forum to express. Without that it just shows how shallow the talent pool is. And that's why it's only interesting when you have the Oscar vs Mike thing.

Not to name names, but if you look at the klubbers, you can see their fascination with the krewe. When you consider making Duncan Hines brownies to be "home cooking" and your home decorating includes "minature glass unicorns," how many legitimate interests do you have? I mean, they probably turn out in droves for "performing arts" like Quiet Riot in the Park (sans dead lead singer). Truth is, the few remaining fans they have left probably don't have the combined disposable income to support a Krispy Kreme franchise (and the do live themselves some Krispy Kreme).

After years of being on disability, or "in between jobs," klubbers miss the daily pablum offered up by co-workers around the water coolers or in the break rooms. TMOS offers these people a forum for listening to other peoples' mundane lives.
TMOS would be more appreciated if they held their live shows in nursing homes or assisted living places. At least they would be doing the Lord's work (using the term "work" loosely).
Plus Robb could take advantage of his Bingo calling skills and put his pseudo-knowledge of Golden Age TV to good use.

Tony Bennett hasn't been able to hit a note properly in decades. Fatt Rob played an audio clip and the problem was the backup singers were in a different key than Bennett, who turned in a decent performance for once.

LOLscar seemed to noticeably tone down his fake laughs with a guest in studio. Fatt Rob pulled out all the stops in an effort to compensate for the lack of guffawing.
