Fatt Rob persists in saying their studio is in Georgetown. The mind wobbles.

I thought it was an okay pre-taped show today, but Oscar dove deep into douche territory today with his idea of finding a suit-mule among the Chinese cohort. As Enzo would tell you a good tailor will have a record of your measurements, but El Spic is delusional if he thinks his measurements are on his receipt.

I totally forgot about a convo I had yesterday with a co-worker who has lost 100 pounds. He said one main reason he got motivated was he realized that if he had to interview for a job, he was afraid that a prospective employer would look at him and think: "this guy doesn't even care about himself, why would he care about his job?"
Turned out he was laid off right after he lost the weight and was picked up on the first interview out.
Can you imagine fatt ass Robb lumbering into your office with his shit resume?

Good luck Robb....

The handle applies to both Mike and Robb, but with the double B's, I believe it's Robb thinking he's hidden a Charlie Chan-type clue (pronounced "crue").

One possible scenario: drunk Robb passed out without donning his CPAP device. So he wakes up periodically, still drunk and gasping for breath, and he decides to spread some hatred our way. Meanwhile, each time he stops breathing, poor Cary starts to get her hopes up, only to have them dashed as he starts gasping yet again.
Go back to sleep and dream of Japan, Cary.

How could that hack even afford Crown? Black Velvet or R&R maybe.
Oh yeah, right, since his poor wife is out begging for food from the local church pantry, he probably has her picking up empties from the side of the road and donating blood so he can buy top shelf.

Robb's wife buys him $400 microphones that don't work in honor of a radio career that never existed. Bottles of Crown is among the least fucked up things happening in that situation.

I don't go to church.
I enjoy reading off-topic with my morning boubon and bacon, and see you losers having a circle jerk about about whatever happened on O'Mealer's show on a frigging Sunday. He peaked when he was with Geronimo. Even then he only had a momment every now and then. Move on. Find some new podcasts that feature real talent.
Dear Cary, please let these schmucks get this sorry thread moved over to general.

If you were telling the truth, you'd see there was no actual discussion of the show for the last two pages. And almost none of us even are up to date on the podcast. We're making jokes about the guys, the culture of the show, their general hypocrisy and having fun. What's your excuse?

Process of elimination: He has no "buds", he has some neighborhood supper club people he knows. His kids would probably love it if he would get an actual friend so he can stop dragging them to movies they don't care about. His garage is so full of crap that he has probably never parked a vehicle in it. I think his wife mows the lawn, or was that Carla? Either way, I don't think he's ever told a yard work story, and with his postage stamp property, even if he did take care of it himself, it would take about 20 minutes at most. Clearly the final option is the most likely. It was telling when he recounted his (rightful) embarrassment walking into the Tyson's Tiffany in Birkenstocks and a Star Wars t-shirt and being treated like the dumpster fire of a human he actually is. His parting shot was something along the lines of "I guess I'll just go back to my basement". He's devolving into a grue. Eventually he won't have to come into the DC office to record the Failcast and he won't even bother to get dressed. If he is feeling especially low, he can wash himself with a rag on a stick.

Robb took the easy way. Instead of re-branding and developing his career, he chose to stay latched onto Mike's tit and now look at him. Nobody is going to hire a fatass sack of shit like him.
hey fatass! October is just days away! Got that new health insurance yet? I didn't think so!

Also, once that kid was baptized in Fla, mike flew the coop on that church....He would rather wander the night time passing out on benches...

I was never big into church and sure the hell didn't pretend to be for a few months to get my kids baptized. Why? So they can end up like that crazy lady in Kentucky who thinks being thrown in jail for not following a Supreme Court decision is an attack on her religion? Mike and Carla don't exactly live "a Christian lifestyle." I hate when people like that have a kid and go to a couple of Church services and start acting like they are Pope Francis. Lost some friends that way who ended up back in their dumpster fire lives a few years later, anyway.

I think it's pretty pathetic that you have to ask co-workers to be godparents. Weren't Todd Hess and Beth Hoyle available? Or Dennis M and Tom G?
Oscar was picked because he gives good presents. Did Robb give a fruit cake?

I think there is at least a possibility of an interesting train wreck here. You know what, I hope Blob(b) doesn't follow the LFF theory of transparency, because, you know what, it might actually make me want to listen if he tells the tale of his financial woe. Somehow the income brought in by managing a retail outlet store is going to be surpassed by selling random garbage on ebay. And health care has yet to be mentioned.

Mike strikes me as an "occasional Catholic." The kind who goes to Mass on Christmas and Easter, but can't be bothered the rest of the year. He's also the guy who will tell everyone how wonderful it is to be Catholic, while he avoids doing anything related to it as much as possible.

He's a "Fallen Catholic" because he can't maintain a marriage to save his life, so that's a good excuse.

To be clear, I don't give a shit what LFF thinks about mystical beings and what happens after you die. I'm not mocking that, I'm mocking his tendency to be all Jesusy when it suits him, and then not at all for the next year.

Give me one momment. I think my favorite U2 song might be Momment of Surrender. It's definitely better than This Momment by Katy Perry. I don't need more than one momment to make that decision.

Now, pass the boubon. I'm a fan of Booker's Kentucky Boubon.

Why would Robb make fun of someone who called the posters here losers? Wouldn't Robb agree with that poster instead of ridiculing him. I urge you to re-read the prior few posts.

The "hello Robb" or "hi Mike" posts are extremely lazy. Using one of those lazy responses to reply to someone who was making fun of a troll is just dumb.

Where do you weigh in on getting your listeners to sponsor a house in Haiti so you get a free trip there and several pricey dinners with the couple that run the foundation? Spiritual, right?

Careful listeners will remember Mike resenting a guy on the trip who was about his age but a real "get things done guy" that corrected and cut him off a few times.

Not to be an uber-listener but in one of those podcasts where Don cleared the air after the RELM disaster he said that Robb had never contacted him once after he retired at WJFK. Not while he was in DC, never a phone call in CA or when it looked like Don was coming back to DC for a bit. He said it shocked him because Don is Robert's godfather but he assumed Robb had decided Mike was his meal ticket and that was that. So I guess he'd agree with your "next tit" theory

He did say Buzz stayed in touch but that he could also not believe Buzz would be a part of what RELM had done to him. He ultimately said to Buzz (rhetorically) as bad as Robb was, he was confident Robb or Mike would never screw him the way Buzz had.

Don also said he'd had no contact with Mike but they were like brothers. If they ever met the relationship would probably be what it was.

Mike encouraged Robb and Buzz to break ties with Don after "he left them in such a horrible fashion", retiring in 08 like he said he would years before his wife died

Sounds like Mike. Didn't Don say a couple times he'd had to continue because Mike had multiple alimonies to pay? I also remember it was trademark on air grandstanding by Don that got Mike's deal done to continue with WJFK. And to get Mike and Buzz to combine instead of compete.

Yeah, Don negotiated Mike's deal when he left, and to repay him for his help, Mike painted Don as the enemy and turned his old crew against him

The next time Jr will see the inside of a church will be when Mike's mom passes.

I would have said Mike's funeral, since it is more imminent, but that will more likely be an accidental burial at sea (or sandbar).

This was discussed on air during the last weeks of D&M, around the same time Don told Mike to limit Robb's mic time...Mike acknowledged that Don negotiated his deal

just a couple days now....
shouldn't you be figuring out how your family is going to have health insurance?
