Will you stains have some class and dignity. Geez, WTF did anyone do besides put on a goddam radio show? Turn the freakin' station if you don't like it, but to continue with this crap is borderline insanity. For all of the naysayers and rumor mongers...F You! The show WILL go on!!! I've never in all my years seen a bunch of people with so much venom over a radio personality. Stern in his worst years never got this much crap...and I'm not a F-ing shock jock! Like another posted said, "Get a hobby"! Get a paper route if you have too much time on your hands.

Let's put it this way, Mike, if it is really you. You aren't Stern. That's the problem. Your show isn't true to the original format of the station. You have put on a Jack Diamond Wannabe Show for nearly a year and then you wonder why listeners are leaving in droves.

I remember when D&M interviewed a guy who wrote a book on How to Blow Dry Your Hair. Don was merciless in his disdain for the author and the morons who would actually by the book. If MOM did that interview today, it would be from a totally serious point of view and he would advise his listeners that it was a great read. H

Before satellite radio (God's gift to the rush hour traveller), I used to listen to WJFK for Stern in the mornings and D&M in the afternoons. The MOM show is not even a shell of the former incarnation. It is unlistenable. If the D&M show was a pedigree dog, then the MOM show is that same dog, only it's one week old road kill and it's been raining all week..
I had a loaner car yesterday and decided to give MOM a try on the way home, since regular radio sucks balls due to commercials and lame ass playlists. What I heard was the most bland, lame, tepid conversation about American Idol ever. Beth Ann was in studio and she contributes nothing. Robb is just a douche bag yes man and Buzz is just simply out of touch. I listened for 15 minutes and finally turned it to DC101 and proceeded to listen to lame ass radio friendly "rock" music with a heavy side order of commercials.
Don has to be having the last laugh. We'll probably hear Mike on Metro Traffic in a few months. Buzz can go back to the cashier duties at the porno store, Robb can host that colon cleanse informercial on Saturdays and Beth Ann can set up shop on 14th Street.

Personally it's because for 20+ years on the D&M show Mike made fun of lame DJ's. I had high hopes for his show and then he ends up doing the same lame shit that he made fun of for so long.

If Don were to get a satellite radio show it would boost the sales of XM/Sirius and drive the final nail in the MOM coffin if it aired in the afternoon. Mike sucks and Buzz Burbank and Beth Ann are talentless bores. Robb can be amusing at times though. Maybe Don should hire him.

Almost every public entertainment figure sells out eventually; you can't not expect that. They start by being edgy, but as they're exposed to more people and the required IQ level drops, they have to go the safe route to negotiate those big-time contracts. Once corporate gets involved, freedom and flexibility go out the window.
For example, I just read today that a record executive once asked U2 to use a word other than "bloody" in their new song, "Sunday Bloody Sunday." That's what executives do, and radio has their own suits to keep happy. See also: reasons why I don't listen to this crap in the first place.
But WTL has got a MOM-sized chip on his shoulder about this show, and I'm not sure why.

The key male demos aren't that far away from success, and sports talk WTEM is showing a "soft" DC sports market in the PPMs. And advertisers and sales people like the "rabid" WJFK audience, we hear.....
