Don't just love the TMOS show?

It's so good (on so many levels).

Personally, I think Robb is hysterical -- the quickest wit I've heard.

And the way the crew has to tip-toe on eggshells around Mike's ego and temperment -- it's mesmerizing. You can't turn away.

Buzz's "newscasts" are truly annoying for the one-sided pablum. But I've warmed up to him as a person. I enjoy his conversation when it's not about politics.

Oscar and Buzz speaking up more is great. Giving a little back to Mike -- and even tweaking Robb -- is fun to see.

Rob(b) has a quick wit? He hasn't got a quick ANYTHING, the fat bastard.

Question for today: do they shovel dirt on Harvey Joel Fisher, or do they say, "He was a legend, and we salute him"?

Jack Diamond will not go the Failcast route. Unlike LFF, he doesn't owe his only success in radio to someone else. Jack Diamond knows how to get a job. It might be in Jacksonville or Raleigh, but it sure the fuck won't be a couch in Manassas.

They puss out and don't go after Harvey, they go after "corporate suits" and radio executives, et al.

You're right, of course, but the reason Jack Diamond can't go podcast is that he's got no act. He's been the least-offensive, hausfrau-drawing, MOR morning jock for umpteen years. Mom can drive the kids to school, and have him on the radio in the van, and not worry that a dick joke is coming. You're right, though -- he'll either quit, or head to a mid-market.

can't believe anyone would go through the bother of listening to O'Meara. i tried listening to his radio show (on the actual radio) after Don left, and found it to be just insufferable. why does O'Meara insist on flogging this long-dead horse? is he just a sad, lonely alcoholic who is stuck in an ever-degrading cycle of repeat, circling the drain to a miserable death? won't he please reach out for help and move on with life? so sad.

I'm not panicked as much surprised. I know it is hard to be surprised when a no-talent hack can't get his podcast on the air, but he keeps surprising me with new and amazing ways to fuck up his "career".

Robb's audio vault is usually the best part of the show. And I love Mike's impressions.

The first time I ever heard Don & Mike was way back in the 90s. I was sitting in traffic and flipping through the channels on the car radio when I heard what I really thought was James Garner being interviewed by some obnoxious loud mouth (Don). It was hysterical. Ever since, I've been a Don & Mike show fan. I always thought that Mike was the funnier, more likeable of the two.

I'm so glad The Mike O'Meara Show is back on the radio. It makes my drive-home commute something to look forward to.

No. Never going to happen. There will never be a greater radio meltdown. Not even Mike's "if you stand up on a higher platform you won't get a better view" argument with Buzz, although that's a close second.

I don't think you can built a winning podcast with one strong egomaniac fatass hypocrite and NO ONE to challenge that. You cannot build a show on ass kissers. You've got to have a challenge to the main egomaniac drunkard/fatass---- Either with a guest or with a cast. I listen to the show about once a week because it is all ass-kissing. That does not interest me.

Howie is egomaniac but also smart and funny. Or at least he use too be. But on the other hand, Mr. Turdball is a sick sick sick egomaniac who is of low intelligence and tiresome lazy humor. Think of the Ritz Brothers and Turdball would be 20 stories below or more on the comedy talent pyramid.

At least you were the first person ever on FFXU to properly use the term "bated", instead of "baited" or some other variant. You are possibly (probably) too intelligent to be Rob(b), but not intelligent enough to realize that the podcast is a complete and utter disaster.

I was all set to post on here about all the people who say LFF's impressions have gotten old (Jack Cassidy) and sloppy (everyone else) and ask if they had heard his new Tracy Morgan. Modern character, fairly well done. Then LFF had to do his tribute to Obama at the correspondent's dinner. So much for thinking he might be trying to get back on track.

I would add that there doesn't HAVE to be conflict, to an extent that one would want the show to fake it. But the gang capitulates on nearly any disagreement, which is sad and ironic BC the gang is usually right. Their usual argument to Angry Mike is silence.

Mike has an incredible ability to be wrong. Part of it is BC he is dumb, but most of it comes BC he won't admit that he is wrong, even on a minor flap.

Adam Carolla does the same thing. He can't stand to be wrong or questioned. Somebody else can listen to that shit. It comes from having a strong head and bully personality. It helps also when you are uneducated and a drunk.

At least Carolla is successful because he has good guests and no laugh track and no Head on the couch interrupting everything.

Sitar music? To represent a country thousands of miles from India?

If Mike and Robb started sweating the details it wouldn't be TMOS.

Didn't Mike promise to give the proceeds from this years motorcycle ride to the victims of Sandy? Looks like he lied about that.

"Proceeds" is such a vague word.

A portion, I am sure a large portion, will cover the cost of putting gas in Mike's "scoot" and bankroll an afternoon at Charlestown.

To quote your hero, "if we ain't bitchin' we aint breathin'"

But really, Robb, for the 1,000,000th time... a lot of people enjoy listening to the show. But when fatass get's out of control this is the only honest forum where someone can speak their mind.

A lot of people here are fans, we just don't follow fatass mindlessly like you do.

I laughed when the boom hit Robb in the faaaace... But nothing they have intentionally done has made me laugh in years... Not like when Mike demands that he is healthy... Just look at all the test results... WHEN HE HAD HIS HEART ATTACK!

Are we sure that all the unfunny isn't a Beckett-ian postmodern exploration of hopelessness?

I know this would require a heck of a lot more intelligence than we usually give credit to these guys for, but it's the only logical explanation for what we are witnessing.

so lff and don oftentimes cover the same ground, and it is astounding how differently they can do things and yet do the exact same bit

the start of episode 808 and dons show @ april 23 ~1:23:00

they both immediately latch on to the fact that the bimbo on the other side is a dumb whore
don has a states and capitals quiz for a solid 5 minutes
lff attempts to slip in a math question, fails and moves on

LFF's interview sounded much more like a forced commercial than anything

Mike and Robb had some fun ridiculing an audio tape from an old Jerry Lewis Telethon today.

Mike gripes about how awful the Today show is even though he can't stop watching it.

But if any of us post a negative comment about TMOS we're retards, clowns and idiots?

Sounds like a double standard to me.

Sometimes I'll watch an Adam Sandler film. It is like watching the dumbest man in the world. Then you realize that he is a billionaire and makes a movie or two every year. Year after fucking year. Besides showing me who controls Hollywood, the shows prove to me there is no god.

So, there is much to be learned from a real stupid show.

I think everyone here is spot on. There have been over 200 pages of this crap dedicated to bitching about MOM. It's obviously something a lot of people love to hate and bitch about but are also into. Could the show be better - YES!!! Maybe if Robb shut up a bit more (which MOM has told him to do SEVERAL times). Maybe if they let Oscar tell his stories in more detail without the constant interruptions. Maybe they could have an honest 20 minute "staff meeting" going over what worked (Mike's weekend with the rugby gals) and what didn't (the April Fools opening) a week.

I think the show could be a much better show if they worked a bit more on the show rather than working on coming up with ideas for T-shirts to sell. Seriously, how many more can you do? How many more contests can you have to try to sell them and how did the Jack Cassidy contest go?

I’ve never worked in radio but neither are you guys now. I’m sure if your ratings were good you would be. Is it really because everyone is out to get you?

The listeners you have now are the dedicated ones. Don’t sell us short. I still want to listen to you but sometimes it’s hard to. Sift through the BS here and take some of this as constructive criticism.

Light a fire under it!

Interesting question. Some of them have actually been part of a show that worked. Are they (mainly Rob(b) and LFF) so self-deluded that they can't tell the difference? I just don't think Buzz cares.

Mike has to be out of it, he is always saying he "can count on Robb to bring the funny" which is incredibly far from the truth. Also, what the hell is up with Buzz? Does he think he can write jokes? He said awhile back he used to write "zingers" for radio DJs, like a prep service. If that's the case, then why are his pre-written jokes during his news so terrible? The delivery is bad, but I'm not even sure expert delivery would save these things. Yesterday, ending with a story about a pothead who broken into a house and did a list of lewd things, Buzz capped it with this gem: "My god, is this a robbery or a resort vacation?" Is resort vacation even a phrase anyone uses?

the comparison of mike to carolla is pretty darn good. i listen to all of adam's podcasts, but he really is getting the "everyone's wrong but me" attitude. not sure when it started, but it's getting kind of annoying.

i think with mike, he really only annoys me when he totally attacks one of the other guys saying how wrong they are. is there no such thing as just a healthy debate?? he can't simply disagree and have a discussion -- he's just RIGHT, and isn't afraid to yell to try and prove it. sadly, carolla is getting to be that way too.

all that being said, it's still robb that's the killer of the show. he has driven his little "jokes" completely into the ground, and he can't take any hints when things he says just fall flat. how about take notice when no one even snickers and learn to just tone it down a bit. if that really is "bringing the funny", there's alot of delusion going on around there.

If you remove Robb from the group, Oscar and Buzz might be able to provide the conflict needed to make it a good show, that is, if they stand up to Mike.

Realistically there is nothing that can save the show. What do you do now, remove Robb and admit an mistake? Not Mike O'Meara, he will never admit a mistake nor will he admit to putting out a poor product.

This is how the show will be run until its last episode, which should be sometime shortly after the baby is born.

When you think about it, there is one BIG problem with this 'cast.' You have 4 men who never played high school or college sports. You can imagine Buzz in high school out in a field with some girl having a picnic and they both have bonnets on. They were never on 'sports teams.' This is why they love a man in uniform, why they watch the Today show, while they talk about Barbara Walters, their interest in Jim Nash, old movies, sit coms........

THEY ARE QUEENS. It is OK to have one nerd on a comedy podcast like many of our Hebrew comedians, but you've got to have a man in there somewhere to balance things out.

I literally unhinge my jaw every time they talk about the most trivial home improvement/repair tasks as being difficult. LFF won't even paint or mow his lawn, no matter how bad his financial situation is or how much free time he has.

Please be more accurate, Mike can't get ANY job. Reading a kids book for the local band or being an announcer for the Marine Band doesn't count, since they don't pay.
