Definately will be for Redskins fans,,,

I could care less about the teams left,,,New England or Baltimore?

the two teams I hate the most in the NFL,,,

49ers v Giants? I still hate the 49ers from 20 years ago,,,looks like I'm a Giants fan for at least a week,,,

I would like to see the Ravens in the SB, but Flacco did not look great today and Tom Brady seems to be on a mission to get that 4th ring this year. As for SF or NY, I couldn't even predict at this point. Maybe a slight edge to NY because of Coughlin and Manning.

SF/NO was an all-time great game, so it's really not fair to judge the rest by that standard. The only game that was really unwatchable was the NE/Denver game. After five minutes it was obvious the game was over.

The Giants are frauds. The Redskins swept them with the mighty Rex Grossman and a no name backup o-line. Zero chance they get another Lombardi. I'm afraid the Pats are going to get their 4th. Nice job by the 49ers. They've got some good coaching over there.

The Giants always go on a tear late in the season. They were a wild card team the year they won the Super Bowl. If you look at Eli Manning's numbers, he always plays MVP caliber ball in the Post Season. An SF victory will ride on its secondary, not Smith and Gore.

True. He just uses his TEs as WRs and the DBs are too small to stop them. Ed Reed is going to have his hands full.

I really don't want Boston to win anymore championships. In the past 10 years they've won World Series, Superbowls, NBA Championship and Stanley Cup...ENOUGH!!!

Hopefully the Ravens D can stop Brady which they have the ability to. Also B'More can score points aginst the not so great Pats D.

If Ravens Win then i'll be rooting for the 49'ers. Its annoying when any sports team from NYC does well because all the celebs jump on the bandwagon.

However, if the Ravens lose then i'll root for the Giants becase they match up better against the Patriots and beat the Patriots ealier in the season.

Also the very working class B'more will have won 2 Superbowls during Snyders very elitist ownership of the Skins.

You must have very low MVP expectations than. Hes had 4 good playoff games out of 9. Playoff QB rating of 88.7 while not bad is anything but MVP caliber ball

How does he compare to Rothlisbeger, Peyton, Brady, Breese, Romo?

Maybe most QB dont even get to 9 playoffs game? Maybe 4-9 is actually really good when most QB are 0-1 because he got his team to 9 post season games?

He stats up fine with Big Ben as he also is over rated for what he does. Their teams strong line play and well above average defenses contribute largely to both those teams successes.

Breese blows them all away Brady included. Overall Bradys rating is comparable to Eli but Brady has had some REAL bad games most against SD that bring the average down.

Rodgers also already has as many good playoff games as him in far fewer attempts.

Eli didnt get the Giants to 9 post season games. The Giants got the Giants to 9 post season games. This just proved my exact point. Because hes on a team that has a real good D and strong o-lines people act like hes some superstar. Hes probably not even a top 10 QB. Hes an INT machine. The year they won the SB he had 23 TDs, 20 INTs and a 73.9 rating. I would love for someone to explain to me how he got his team to the playoffs with those rex grossman stats

Last year he was a top 10 QB, the other years before that he was not. Last year was by far and away his best year hes ever had. Gotta do it more than once before you consistently get placed in the territory

And just for a little humor an MVP caliber season wouldnt include 0 TDs and 4 INTS to the Redskins in two games.

Because of his last name. So he just chucks up a duck into a bunchy of coverage and he gets the credit for a guy making an amazing catch?

The Giants D should have been the mvp.

They also wouldnt have won the superbowl if the Pats had caught any of the 2 passes he hit their DBs right in the numbers with on the final drive that they kept dropping.

defense will get to Alex Smith

NFC east will be interesting next year if andy reid gets his shit together

cowboys and dreadskins will be non factors again romo should try to get traded to ravens

ravens in trouble if ed reed can't play

flacco a mediocre quarterback and patriots secondary is playing okay but trouble may abound if ray rice has big game

brady is on a mission

i think a giants vs. patriots will be a very interesting super bowl

Yes, I stand by my assertion that Eli has had an MVP-type season this year,,, but some other QB's have too, so actually giving him the MVP probably won't happen,,,I'm sure he'd rather have another SuperBowl ring anyway,,,

I really have no idea how the Skins are going to come up with a good deal at QB.

1 - They are too far down in the draft to grab Luck or RGIII. Doubt anyone else available by the time the Skins turn comes up justifies a Top 10 pick.

2 - Any deal they would make for Manning, Flynn or Bradford would cost too much.

3 - Who are the good free agents out there?

Fucked.

He has the same chance at legitimately winning the MVP as you or I do.

But again this doesnt change the fact that this was by far his best year do it a couple times and then we can talk about him being an elite qb.

I am originally from the Bay Area. The 49ers are pumped they are at home - what team wouldn't be?! Plus the field will be a mess, as the forecast calls for serious rain. I think you might see a 20-17 kinda game, not a high-scoring affair. Expect lots of turnovers, big defense. Whomever can run better will win. The 49ers Saint game was a classic - if you didn't enjoy that, you are not a true fan. There were 4 scores in the last 4 minutes!

Candlestick is a lot like RFK in one regard. It's very near sea level. If it's raining at high tide, there's no where for the water to drain to. In fact, that field has been known to be wet when it wasn't raining at high tide.

RFK actually has pumps and drain lines under the field. Not sure about Candlestick but according to the chart.......it'll be near low tide at game time anyway.

How?
The giants are a passing team and have no running game to speak of. The 49ers are a running team. Advantage-Running team.

Jacobs and Bradshaw = No running game?

I think the Giants are a better bad weather team, they're set up to grind games out,,,

The 49ers defense is tough against the run, but in bad weather their secondary will get eaten alive,,,you can throw in bad weather,,,if your use to it

If it's rainy and the field is crap, I like Eli and his recievers to still be productive,,,

I think the Giants D will play well in that situation too,,,

The best running team doesn't necessarily have an advantage,,,,

Muddy fields impact defense. Pass rushers have a hard time getting leverage. DBs have a hard time making cuts. I would give the advantage to the Giants if Eli's passing game is on.

The Giants played eleven games on field turf in the regular season.

Three of the five on grass, they lost. One of those times in Candlestick.

By contrast, the 49ers lost one game at home.

The Giants have zero advantage no matter how well their qb is playing.

Stupid decision to go with that same Ray Rice play. Should have used play action with that play or gone with something different.

Lee Evans only had 4 catches all year,,,he was so sure he was one of the best receivers in the league when he was in Buffalo,,,

NE isn't going to let Rice run. Ravens need to step up protection on Flacco or give him more quick passes to work with.

The pressure is getting to him. That's the only way to stop Brady is to hit him and get in his head.

Patriots defense is terrible,,,

Brady better start putting up some points or they're gonna be in trouble,,,

Flacco is looking better than Brady. If I were the Dark Lord, I would stick with the running game and time of possession.

Ravens should be feeling pretty good at halftime,,,

I think NE will make some adjustments on offense but I don't think they can do much on defense unless they start blitzing,,,and from the looks of their coverage in the secondary, that wouldn't be a good idea,,,

FYI...they'll argue this for years now..he had possession in the end zone. That was not an incomplete pass.

Balmer got screwed.

Not that I'm unhappy about that.

They should have used a time out to slow things down a bit for the FG. They rushed it and the kicker.

Can't challenge with less than two minutes left. I'm so sad! If the niners lose tonight I will cry.

Just realized that Flacco w/ his fu manchu looks just like Where's My Chippy from Tim and Eric.

As a Pats fan, It's good to see that Brady and the defense can have an awful game and still win.

Now I have to hope the G-Men lose, but I'd be surprised if they do.

That's why the stadium is where it is. Nothing but ghetto around it till you get to the harbor and who would miss one more Hooters anyway?
