The history of the resistance in Poland is amazing. First the Nazis, then the Russians. They even cracked the code of the Nazi Enigma Machine encryption device which is one of the most significant events in winning WWII.

I have never seen a stereotype that was so backwards- from cracking the Enigma Machine, to Copernicus, to Chopin- the Poles are some smart people

Is they are very, very stubborn, and the Nazi's perpetrated the myth of stereotypical pole by spreading propaganda that they tried to repell German invasion forces of Panzas by horseback. Which was a lie, they had tanks themselves and knew the capability of tanks. Hitler at first wanted Poland to be a protected Nazi nation at peace with Germany but the poles would not go along with it which infuriated the Nazis. Poland's gets along now very well with Germany but they still dislike Russia.

They sell a good ham called "Krakus", best I ever had. Also, a good Kielbasa is "Boar's Head".

I don't think Poland likes the Jews making the Death Camp's appear that only Jews died there, when millions of Poles and other nationalities who were not Jews died there also. The Jews make it seem that only they suffered in WW2.
