A History of FFXU
Date: January 31, 2011 07:20AM

Since we have users on here now who don't even know who Vince was, maybe an FFXU history lessen is in order. I will start...

In the beginning there was Cary. And Cary said, "Let there be light" Instead, he got Gravis.

I can tell that Gravis had a ton of posts, but does not come on here often. Burn out factor is a real issue - similar to regular UBB or vBulletin boards (I am a mod on one). I see it all the time.

I miss Gravis too. He was the first person to insult me here. Hopefully his new Holy Roller sickness will pass and he'll rejoin us.

I can take or leave Vince.

I'm pretty sure graymoose is probably behind alot of this, I bet he's sitting there right now getting a good laugh at all the crazy shenanigans he keeps doing.

Yep. Gravis went from one extreme to the other. Maybe he considers FFXU to be too much of a temptation. We are like the fruit from the tree of knowledge.

The next MAJOR event was R Stidman and his war with 1/2 of a radio duo. Causing the radio guy to blast FXU on air which caused many a site crash because of too much traffic due to curiosity.

Yeah, those were the days. Back then this site wasn't on the radar of high school freshmen, and I think the only reason the school board complainers know about this site is because they are all housewives that sat there and listened to Don and Mike every afternoon. I think Don and Mike are to blame for all the intolerable trollage that is here now, and why many of us old regulars moved on.

Sadly, I feel that FFXU is on the outs. I've enjoyed this site for a long time, but feel that outside concerns will eventually succeed and bury this site for good through fear tactics.

Followed by the "regulars" having an FXU "Summit" I believe they met many times. This led to the INkahoots (aka deathbycop) Stalking episodes.

yeah which set the precedent for regulars to be insensative to death notifications.

You mention the Inka wars, but fail to mention that male massage pagan guy Dirk Diggler of whatever his name was?

I agree the high school freshman here have really screwed up honest debate and fun rebel rousery here. How can I spar with an anonymous user who just shouts horrible names at me and then re-appears under another name? At least with Inka and Alias and to a degree Spunky, I could tell what I am dealing with.

I may not say much at times, but I found this site by accident. I don't listen to Don & Mike. I just happen to do a search and this site came up on my search and I have been here since 09. But I just recently claimed my namesake. I find this site interesting and amusing at times.

I, for one, used to frequent another forum more often until about 2007. That other forum got saturated with idiotic dittoheads and became pointless. It was like a moron echo-chamber.

As a long time lurker, I'll say, back in the day, it was usually pointless to read past the second page or Vincents first post, whichever came first.

Unless, of course, the post was related to somebody killing themselves, then the flames wars between those that cared and those that didn't could be - and still are - quite entertaining.
