why must guys do this? i can't walk 100 yards down the street without sidestepping 100 spit splats. just today i saw a handful of guys spitting. some were gathered together in conversation, some were lone spitters. i get the native american thing, the baseball/chewing tobacco thing, the "this taste like shit get it out of my mouth now" thing, but really, is all this male-spitting necessary? is this a territorial pissings thing? let me know . . .

sometimes phlegm just builds up and there is a need to get it out. when i smoke, pot or cigarettes, i produce extra saliva than needed and i've gotten into the habit of spitting it out. its nothing personal, just very habitual.

I remember spitting a lot while playing baseball as a kid, just because we thought it was part of the game LOL. Other than that, people I know usually only do it when they have to (ie, Not out of habit).

im not assigning sex at all, just that if you are in the habit of doing something and you see someone else or are given the suggestion of doing so you are more likely to do so as well. since you dont have excess saliva you are less likely to spit so therefore when you see someone spitting you just see someone spitting. its basic psychology.
