Moose is a female and I should have clarified what I meant.
In no way, shape or form was I intending to make fun of or talk down about anyone who may have a difficult time pronouncing that word.
I have known a few people in the past who "purposely" mispronounced that word when "they" had talked not so nicely about those who had/have Alzheimers, that is what annoyed me.

Exactly. I understand and completely agree with what you're saying. I, myself would never joke about something like that and found it very hard to take when I witnessed firsthand (a couple of people that I "USE" to know) not just pronouncing the word wrong (which is no big deal), but doing it deliberately while teasing and talking very badly to a person who was known to have Alzheimers. Heartless, cruel and totally unacceptable. To me, a complete shock.
I wasn't thinking about it at the time, but most certainly should have written a lil' side note when I typed that word, explaining that it wasn't the mispronunciation that annoyed me, but what I had witnessed and experienced ... and there lies the problem, I had lost focus on the title of the thread in the first place, it wasn't about an experience. AGH, I wish I hadn't typed that word now. Sorry everyone.
