I certainly agree with you the Meade is very talented. He has written over 100 songs. Willie Nelson has written or co-written 337 songs. Willie is 46 years older than Meade so we will see if Meade can catch up. I really think his best years musically could be in front of him. He just needs more exposure and some better marketing. Meade's music career is only slightly better than those of us who never pursued one. However, Meade does seem to excel at shit mopping. How many decades did Meade piss away making music that no one really wants to hear when he could have been perfecting his janitorial craft? He might have made head janitor at Reynolds CC by now. Luck here could be defined as a "right place, right time" concept. In this sense meades making the false assumptions that he has sufficient talent (he doesnt) and that his persistence will make the luck variable payoff by brute force (it wont). I know an accomplished musician from Brooklyn named Liberty Devito. He has played in many albums including Bat Out of Hell. He has been Billy Joels drummer for 40 years.

Liberty gives drum lessons to kids during his off time.
