Is Obama a muslim/islam? What evidence to we have of this? There s a strong rumor now that hes going to make a trip to mecca.
and when you think about it, the redistribution of wealth is really a way to give alms to the poor on a mass scale. it may be pious, but its un-american.

If he did, it was only because there was an international camera crew on site, with a telepromoter with his name on it.

With the risk of feeding a troll, I can confirm that Obama used to be a Muslim. He used to study Islam in Indonesia, and he took part in the daily prayers, so aside from opinion and conjecture, he did at least used to be a Practitioner of the religion.

Because we live in a country filled with dumb people. As long as you pretend to be Christian, you're accepted. It has nothing to do with what you really believe. Just show up at church regularly, have a christian wedding, and you're in!
Politicians can never say they're "atheists". The church-leaders in this country (i.e. imams) would lead a revolt. They'd get their dumb flocks out in full force to vote against any candidate claiming "atheism".
That being said, I don't think Obama is an atheist. I think he's just someone who went to church regularly because it's required behavior for folks in his line of work.

I would vote for an athiest. Would you? Why not? At least most athiests have a well-thought out reason for their beliefs, unlike Christians or Muslims who just do what they are told with promises of glory in the afterlife in exchange for blind obedience.

He went to a public school in indonesia, where islam was part of the curriculum.
I know lots of people who went to catholic schools who were not catholic, and are not catholic now, either.
I studied "comparative religions" in school, at a catholic school no less, where we studied taoism, hinduism, islam, buddhism, christianity, judaism, and several other lost religions. Does that make me a believer in any of those religions?
----------------------------------------------------------------- The function of conservatives is not to meet every liberal program or scheme with a denunciation or a destructive counterscheme, but rather to weigh its advantages and defects, supporting the first and challenging the second. A declaration of ideological warfare against liberalism is by its nature profoundly unconservative. It meets perceived radicalism with a counterradicalism of its own.

and also no more.
I emphasized that point to make it clear that studying something, or attending a school that teaches something doesn't make the student a part of that something.

All Saints Academy. Why?

In the second part of "The Age of Reason," Tom Paine ("These are the times that try men's souls") said that the Virgin Mary was "debauched by a ghost."

Then why doesn't he go to church? On the 7th day the lord rested. Obama doesn't seem to respect Jesus much. He's pretty mum on the entire issue, which raises my suspicions...and ire.

He went to St. John's Episcopal Church this last sunday, according to the news.
You know, the yellow church across from the Hay-Adams Hotel?
Not to mention, I seem to remember there was this very minor, almost un-reported issue with a certain pastor of a church he attended in the past, during the campaign.
Perhaps Obama has been dealt a losing hand as far as church attendance is concerned -- No matter what church he goes to, it will be picked apart for any "radical" or "undesirable" preachings, and obviously on the other side of the coin, not many priests are going to be amenable to opening themselves up to such scrutiny and reflexive criticism.

He hasn't been seen on mosques or churches either. Is it possible he is a non-believer...like he said during his inauguration? (He referred to non-believers)
