Fairfax Underground
Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
THIS is the case that should have become the textbook case of police abuse - not Ferguson. Personally, I don't think this stop and the subsequent death were racially motivated, but I can see how other people would.
The cops escalated this incident, not Garner. His obesity and associated health conditions probably played a role in his death, but that's immaterial. This guy was not a threat. Ironically, he actually looked like a gentle giant.
Such a shame that the black community chose Ferguson, not this incident, to represent the valid complaint of police abuse. It will be interesting to see the reaction to the non-indictment.

You are inciting a riot. Stop it.
I saw the video of this arrest. If these nogs would just not resist, everybody would go home alive. If you've ever watched the show "Cops", 90% of the nogs they arrest put up a fight and usually for stupid charges.
^ He did not actively resist. He put his hands up and said 'don't touch me'. The cops did not have to escalate this, especially over such a trivial offense.

Not true. Watch the video with your eyes open this time.
First of all, he would not put his hands behind his back. The officer in front of him grabbed his arms and Garner pulled them up to try to break free. I definitely don't agree with what the cops did, but he certainly was not complying with the arrest. If he had calmly put his hands behind his back and let the cops cuff him up he would have gone home that day and would probably weigh 500 lbs by now.
BUT - no one is bringing up that NYC's exorbitant taxes on cigarettes create a black market for them, which of course everyone predicted. Another liberal victory!!

NYC cops have been over the top since their beginning. They have a long history of being crooked and covering up shit. You notice that the feds are looking into charges in this one, but not Ferguson. The cop used an illegal chokehold, which is illegal for a reason. Though, I don't believe the pig should be guilty of murder, involuntary manslaughter would sound right. Its what a civilian would have been charged with. At the least. Too many pigs think they are above the law. And their superiors enable those actions by coverups. Just like the pigs covered up the lorton murder by that cop.

Actually I think Eric Holder (the house nigger) IS looking into a civil rights case in Ferguson. I mean, why the fuck did he go down there if he isn't? Just to get some collard greens and some fried chicken?
The question to ask is, how would you have acted if you were that police officer? I think a police officer in New York City has a bit more stress and pressure than the keyboard warriors talking about how horrible this was.
