Appreciation is a wonderful thing:
It makes what is excellent in others belong to us as well.

Voltaire

PS: Trying to Escape from Gutter Mentality expressed so often at Fairfax Underground when one knows the futility and temporary nature of what is said if possible.

Wrong. Sticks and stones can break your bones, but words will hurt forever.

Also, curry can stink up a home forever.

Fairfax Underground doesn't express the "gutter mentality" by an stretch of the imagination. With this site, you are getting the real deal. A full-blown reality check. For all those obstacles that you try to dodge in your daily life will become a reality here.

If you want to live a protected life without these obstacles, you can do so for a period of time. But, then reality has to set in.

Accept our culture here on the forum. Outside of the Forum, Fairfax itself really has not culture. The culture it had, left 20+ years ago. Now, Fairfax itself has turned into McSame. To me, the "status quo" sucks and the status quo in Fairfax is running rampant where the people have turned into sheepeople.

Wise Comment of Debbie Downer xxxx

If you want to live a protected life without these obstacles, you can do so for a period of time. But, then reality has to set in.

Conversation: "Reality" differs with people depending on whether one is forced to grow up in a "gutter" culture of Fairfax or one grows up in a "character grounded culture".

This is not a "democrat" or "republican" topic I am afraid.

It's a "Nature vs Nurture" discussion no doubt, yea, Fairfax and every Hometown USA who does not a quality forum and culture media alternatives.

Another moment where no one in the forum has read enough to point out that Voltaire seems to be making a dark joke here.

WaldenThreeNet is an upper caste refugee from India.

He comes to this country with an agenda to impress Yuppies with his community bridges, pop art saturated posts of half assed English jibberish and begging for attendance for discussions at restaurants, in order to attend free buffets and collect donations.

However, while success has been elusive, Walden plods on not too much unlike another untalented but morbidly delusional wanna be celebrity that is mentioned often on this forum.

WaldenThreeNet is the Punjabi version of Meade Skeleton.

The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness.

Dalai Lama

Conversation: Buddhism like Islam was suppose to be casteless when each emerged in history. Buddhism rooted in Hindu culture, and Islam rooted in Arab culture of history which up to that time was mostly dominated by Hebrew and Christian monotheism.

Not sure that either spiritual culture succeeded in eliminating "classless" society as envisioned at the beginning.

More Conversation: In this respect, perhaps Sikh religion emerging from the "twin" culture of 16th Century North India, Islam and multi-diverse Hinduism as still exist, have set an wonderful example toward practicing the key elements of "casteless" and "classless' culture.

IN Fairfax, "multi-income" neighborhoods, where rich and the poor lives side by side still is the key goal toward America's philosophy driven "equality" aspirations for celebrating ethnic voices with guaranteed religious freedom in the Constitution of the United States.

Even More Conversation:

Thank you Songwriters and Folk Singers, no matter where is our family origins.
Let us celebrate and appreciate "ethnic voices" among us at Hometown USA !!

Appreciation:

There is only one class in the community that thinks more about money than the rich, and that is the poor. The poor can think of nothing else.

When is the next community circle jerk?

Also, there have been reports of persons unknown peeing off the side of the community bridge.

In the name of Mahatma Gandhi, this must stop.

To the person who released the bag of bandicoots during the Budget Plan Event for Fairfax County, shame on you!

FY 2015 Advertised Budget Plan DIscussion Hosted By Providence District Supervisor__Thank You ! Posted by: waldenthreenet () Date: March 19, 2014 02:33PM

The Fairfax County FY 2015 Budget Discussion last night co-hosted by the Provident District Supervisor Linda Q. Smyth was very well attended to my surprise.
http://www.fairfaxunderground.com/forum/read/40/1486576.html

Converation: I attended the Budget Plan Event for Fairfax County with special items for our Providence District last night.

The event was very well attended and was hosted by our Providence District Supervisor, Linda Q. Smith and A Fairfax County Official.

The event has relavance for us at Cryndall Valley North Community as well as other homeowner associations, particularly our neighboring communities.

Schools are of course the largest part of the budget, and there are difficult choices ahead as was discussed.

Schools, Neighborhood Safety, Creek Restoration and Greenspace are all key issues while slow recovery is still underway.

The budget is made rather difficult this year and last year particularly due to 28% increase in enrollment that needs increase in staff support whle the budget is required to reduced due to ecoomic issues primarily.

But the staff working with the Supervisors have done an amazing job in my assessment as I understand better how the budget was arrived at,
and what tremendous sacrificiees were made.

By the way, of the tremendous increase in enrollment, a sizeable portion of the children are of poor parents, so that they qualify for free school lunch !

Also, it was mentioned, teen suicide rates in Fairfax County has increasing trend in recent years.

No doubt , sizable flux of poor people, combined with severe economy has increased teen suicide in Fairfax County in recent few years.

These key issues needs conversaiton and support from all of us, indivdiually, in family circles and via our neighborhood homeowners associations, so that we can addresss the challanges and continue to work for community vitality that strengthens property values and adds to quality of life everday living.
