The Fairfax County FY 2015 Budget Discussion last night co-hosted by the Provident District Supervisor Linda Q. Smyth was very well attended to my surprise.

The presentation and budget cuts instituted by "shared budget protocol" by the Fairfax County Budget Office was truly a wonderful achivement based on the hard work, creativity, and team work that went into this plan, as anyone who is willing to do their homework can conclude based on real evidence.

As always in any public meeting like this, there were few, who cam unprpared, not doing their homework, and proceeded to discuss their own personal story taking up time of others in a short meeting .

Later I found out that this brief valueable document called Fairfax County Virginia FY 2015 Advertised Budget PLan (Including Multi-Year Budget:FY 2015-FY 2016) as well as the 4 think volumes of all the details for this fiscal year, and previious fiscal year are all available at Fairfax Regional Library as well as the Oakton Branch Library for anyone who cares to undestand make thoughful and polite suggestions, as some who did last night and promised to do so in future.

Again, I do feel we are very fortunate to have wonderful leadership as examplified last night's presenations.

The economy is still weak, much more thoughtful and informed inputs are needed in the next few week and then FY 2015 ahead of us !

Follow up question: There are 15 Chambers of Commerce at Fairfax County today. The largest being Fairfax County Chamber of Commerce. How do we initiate conversaiton with the Staff and Board of this Chamber on this topic of Community VIality at Fairfax County, VA ?

Posted on the Fairfax County main website the top 3 community priorities. Education is about 50% of our budget on a yearly basis, ie, 2015 Advertised Budget. Sacrifices has been made.

Know and care about the talent and sacrifices to adjust to the demands of the slowly recovering economy and influx leading to higher enrollment at public schools ?
