No, YOU are wrong...
The Stingray base coupe MAY be a "great car" for the price. It starts at $52K but, what else are you going to compare it to? What other V-8, 2 seat, RWD coupes match up against the base Stingray in performance at that price point?
And the upline hi-po Stingrays? (They don't make the ZR1 anymore...)

If you're a Corvette jihadist or an overweight, balding, white retired plumber, you'll buy a Stingray but it's hard to objectively compare a Corvette or any car with a unique platform.
For $62,800 you could buy 55 of 75 C2 Corvettes currently available on EBay. Not as fast as a 2014 upline Stingray, but the 1963-1967 Corvettes come standard with much more class and heritage.
