I think it's likely the Redskins will win 4 of the remaining 7 games,,,

If the Redskins finish 7-9, Shanahan will probably keep his job and Kyle will probably be safe too.

Everyone else is gone

If Dano wants to get Shanny to quit, then he just has to fire Kyle,,,

I think it's safe to say that the Shanahan lynch mob will be out in full force this week,,,and rightly so

I'm not ready to join the lynch mob yet, but the case against Shanny is getting stronger

His absolute stubborn refusal to make any major changes on defense and special teams may very well finish him

My reluctance to call for his ouster is really based on one practical reason,,,who you gonna get?

Gruden?

David Shaw?

Cowher?

Lovie?

Here's my solution, most of you will not like it; get Shanny to step aside and make Kyle the Head Coach,,,Fire everyone else

Kyle hires Kubiak as OC (he'll be available)

Not really sure which DC's will be available, but I'd love to see Rex Ryan get the job,,,

and go back to the spear logo,,,,

Theyres a very real chance they finish this year with 4 wins and even Atlanta isnt a gimme at this point.

Giving up a top 5 pick as the 2nd of the 3 first rounders for RG3 is just kind of the icing on the kick to the balls cake.

Shanny sucks as a coach though, he had great success with a team already put together then a decade of average teams with the occasional winner mixed in.

I dont know how they would justify putting Kyle as the head coach if they fired Dad but he couldnt do much worse.

Mike is a political appointee.

He coaches nothing. The entire offense is on Kyle's shoulders.

Mike has already stated that he'll quit if Snyder fires Kyle because he's only there to further his son's career.

Nepotism at it's finest.

Kyle is also the laughing stock of the entire NFL.

You would think that someone who claims theyre trying to make a name for themselves wouldnt want to be in a situation where hes clearly been saved by his father.

Kyle probably isnt that bad of a coach with the right offensive weapons, but something is clearly wrong. Either hes finally allowed to do what he wants which doesnt bode well for his future and this is on him or his dads in his ear too much. Either way hes not exactly someone teams would be drooling over

I'm officially off the RGIII bandwagon, not because of his pathetic play, but because of his never ending press conferences were he shares every thought in his head with the media

RGME needs to shuts the hell up,,,

His lack of personal accountability is troubling,,,

There are three teams picking in the top 5 who need a QB,,,

Wonder if any of them would be willing to trade out for RGIII

Maybe we could get our pick back from the Rams,,,

I could see RGIII as a Raider, or maybe send him back to Texas, Houston needs a new coach and a QB, they could have a Baylor reunion there, NOT HERE!

Seriously though, put in Cousins, we've seen enough from RGIII this year, he's not saving anyone's job

Blaine Gabbert, Mark Sanchez, Sam Bradford, Geno Smith, Tim Tebow... The NFL hype machine, especially with QBs, is ridiculous.

No ones giving up anything close to what they paid for RG3. He cant pass and now he just blames everyone else. Hes gone full Kenny Powers and is a press conference away from saying hes not getting the shit he needs to win.

It is but Smith and Tebow never really had much hype and Tebow had none. The Jets hyped Geno everyone else was pretty sure hed suck. Tebow didnt get hype till they went on the winning streak and even then he was the most hated Qb in the game.

Sanchez could have been good if he cared more about football and less about being a celebrity.

The only people hyping Tebow were Gator fans. NFL scouts thought he sucked and it was a shock to everyone he went in the first round. Jacksonville didnt even want him when he would sell out their stadium and their team was garbage.

Yea Sanchez sucked so bad at USC he only had 3200 yard 30 TDs and 10 picks with a rating of 168 the year he started.

Are you just making things up as you go along? Next youll tell me the Skins have a shot at the playoffs.

That seems to be one of RG3's problems. He seems to be all wrapped up in promoting himself and making money. I got nothing against making money, but he might want to spend some time on learning how to play NFL ball.

Last year he seemed to have a good head on his shoulders, something happened in the offseason though. Maybe it is all the endorsements and hes bought into his own hype, but he became an arrogant its not my fault type of player who doesnt have the record of success to support that attitude.

You can probably blame some of it on Danny who im sure gives him special treatment, but whatever is going through his head its not the same as last year.

Someone should tell him he hasnt proved anything yet. Plenty of guys have had a good year to never be heard from again. Hes atrocious at everything this year.

The only thing he looked like he learned last night was how not to play catch me if you can with linebackers

The Giants just arent very good. This is the battle for the slightly lower draft pick.

Theres no way he took anything away from Kyle. The play calling all year has had Mikes name written all over it. Kyle didnt lose games in Houston because he would rather lose doing it his way then make an adjustment. If anything Mike may have stopped caring and handed the reigns over.

They just showed another one of their biggest weaknesses, stupid penalties

I dont know why they don't go no-huddle all game long, the D of the Giants will get worn out by Morris just battering them.

The refs are absolutely god awful theres no question about that. Were seeing it in baseball too as the current group of officials is just getting to old and they cant ever really be fired.

That was atrocious how bad they handled that too and should be suspended for that.

That said it really had no effect. If Davis catches that ball or Garcon doesnt get stripped they get the first down anyway. The strip really made it a non issue.

Can we end the fallacy of Garcon being a true number 1 WR now? Hes a good wr and would be a good 2, but hes not the elite guy whose a true number 1.

So this is a total stage 5 disaster, It can not be fixed.

This is a situation that not only requires EVERY coach to be fired ( 2 now, the rest the day after the season ends) but also RGIII to be traded for draft picks.

There are teams (the Raiders) who would probably pull the trigger on that deal,,,

I'm not even saying I think Cousins is the solution. I just believe RGIII should be held accountable for his very large role in this disaster.

As much as I liked him last year, he completely screwed the fans with all his BS.

As Richard Pryor once said " Have a Coke and a smile and SHUT THE FUCK UP!"

I am now officially on the Rex Ryan bandwagon

Hire a REAL GM and give Rex a shot,,,at let we would have real defense

Also a good time to change the name, this franchise is an embarrassment to the memory of the late great Jack Kent Cooke

The next coach of this team will be one of these:

1) John Gruden - I don't like him but...he's a great coach who has won a SuperBowl who is still young enough to coach at this level.

2) Tony Dungy - I know you'll say that he'd never work for someone like Snyder but...Over the last 2 seasons, have you seen how his eyes light up when he talks about Bob3? More so last season than this season but, I think he really, really relishes the idea of coaching Bobby-Tray.

3) Art Briles - Bob3's coach at Baylor. Nobody knows him better...

Just signed a 10 year extension for big money within the last month or two so not going to happen.

RG3 isnt the same guy he was last year. He talks like hes the league MVP in interviews but hes been god awful. When he asked "what more can i do?" today someone should have said "Not suck so bad". Kenny Powers must be his PR person.

Theres really one of two options. Synder either needs to tell him to shut the f up and make it clear the special treatment is over, you like hatemotor said its time to trade him.

Hes getting worse every game, and I doubt theres a qb in the league with worse first half stats then he has. Hes probably bottom 5 in a the league if you remove his garbage time stats. He finally puts together a 80 yard TD drive when the Chiefs were up 31 and were letting their field goal kicker try his hand at punting they were having so much fun.

The only thing worse than his performance is the fact he apparently thinks hes doing well. You can blame the loss of speed on the injury, but not being able to make simple passes thats just being a shitty passer. Hes young enough he can turn it around, but its not going to happen with out an attitude change.

The real kick in the balls will come in a few weeks when the Rams get a 2nd or 1st overall pick for trading down two spots.

Amazingly, Shanahan didn't get fired today

I'm actually surprised, gotta believe Dano's figuring out a way to not pay Shanny.

The easy solution is to just fire Kyle

If Shanny doesn't get fired and plays Cousins the next three weeks I'm fine with that.

It will be interesting to see if the team plays harder for Capt Kirk,,,

ESPN explained why he wasn't fired today.
They said if they fire Mike today and Kyle goes with him, they will have no offensive coordinator for the next few games. The players would kinda have to learn a whole new system by next week.

I'm sure they could still employ the current system, or remnants of it, with someone else, but it might be more of a clusterfuck than it is already.

If the talking heads at ESPN could still play a sport...they would be.

There is no percentage in firing Shanny now. Wont change the team being out of the playoffs, wont sell any more tickets. Wont make Danny any more money.

It's ride it out time........again. Shanny can still make a play for firing the teams coach and maybe even the defensive coordinator. Yeah, that's it. This whole season was their fault. And get rid of Allen...he only signed the guys Shanny told him to. He didn't come up with a single player on his own that saved the season. And while they're at it, get rid of the grounds keeper at Fed-Ex. He cost them several games at least. And Shanny's hair dye company...they suck. Fire them immediately.

But Mike and Kyle? They're famous and legends (in their own minds). Can't even think about getting rid of them.

....Trade Kirk in the offseason for a couple of semi-retired o linemen. Get the bosses pet healthy and in front of a TV camera again....so much to do and seven months might not be enough time to get it done. Pencil in a meeting with Danny about contract extension...

Sadly, Vexxxed is exactly right as usual

There will be no changes until the off season

And lets just shut down the Tony Dungy talk right now, the Tampa 2 defense doesn't work without the right players if at all

Cover 2 is not a good plan for todays game

And we all know Dano is just going to find the biggest name he can, not the most qualified,,,,

Please explain to me how it would make any difference if they had to learn a new system. They haven't even learned this system. You could put the triple option out there and it wouldn't make a difference at this point.

1) His trade value increases.
2) His trade value increases a bit more.
3) No. He will not be coaching here next season.
4) Possibly but...the only way he stays is if he shits the bed on these last 3 games.

Two starts is not a lot to judge a QB on, but at this point I would definately like to see more

Cousins is a true pocket passer and quick decision maker, he doesn't end up 3rd and long every series either

He looks better than Nick Foles did at the same point in his career with the Eagles

If Shanahan stays, he should not be allowed to trade Cousins,,,however,if we can get two #1's for Griffin, I say take 'em

I just like Capt.Kirk more than Capt.PressConference at this point

And I think the rest of the team does too,,,

A first is probably possible maybe a first and a second I dont think he could even get a first and two seconds right now. Theres a lot of good QBs in college right now that those picks could potentially get in the near future.

Even if a teams willing to say okay this season was just a bump in the road and not the player he is, theyll be cautious from two major knee surgeries this early in his career. Peyton could barely get interest from his multiple surgeries since everyone thought he was one hit away from never playing again, same thing here.
