What I don't understand is how the "Republican" Party today is actually 3 different parties, inclusive of extremists. There are the traditional conservatives, the TEA party loons, and there are Libertarians like Ron & Rand Paul. You don't see lefty extremists like the Green party mixing in with the Democrat party. To me it's just another sign that the GOP is doomed to fail.

My apologies. I should have clarified, for our deliberately obtuse and overly literal friends:

I did not say, at any point, that the federal or state government was empowered to prevent you from speaking your mind by virtue of your failure to vote, so I'm not sure where the First Amendment - which only applies as against the federal government, and against the states via the Fourteenth Amendment - comes into play here.
The First Amendment does not protect your speech from non-governmental entities who tell you to cram it with walnuts.

The reason we don't QUALIFY for it, is because we were raised and taught to live within our means. We don't breed out of wedlock, we don't spawn 4+ kids expecting someone else to pay for it. We FEAR not being able to provide for our OWN. WE WORK for awful people taking ABUSE daily from the ruling class but we keep our mouths shut, head down and take it knowing our DUTY is providing for the family, NOT garnering RESPECT. We don't invest in get rich schemes, have it blow up, declare bankruptcy and get on the dole. We don't make excuses, WE WORK to the bone until we drop dead, and pray our kids learn to do the same. Nothing happened to your First Amendment rights. I suspect you merely don't understand them.
Your First Amendment rights only apply as against the federal and state governments, and are irrelevant to someone calling you names on a message board.
