HAPPY DIWALI

Happy Diwali, America!

Christopher Columbus would be so happy to see that the Nation of India has moved to South Herndon. The place he really had on his agenda has finally showed up as the compass directed him 400 years ago (although a tad bit too late for the gent).

To honor Columbus' good intentions, the rest of America can now buy their Diwali lights at Target and toss them across their front doors and shabby bushes--just as Hindus do (wow that is a tongue twister) in homes all along Fox Mill and Frying Pan Roads. Columbus would be so proud that Diwali is celebrated so close to his very own American holiday. Shine your lights brightly so the next explorer can find the real India. Maybe we will soon get yet another national holiday!

I loved the Diwali episode on The OFFICE a couple of years ago. That was funny. Ha Ha! the big shoe pile in the school hallway.

Ha Ha - Where did Columbus actually land in America? Cuba and Puerto Rico. Never made "here" so doubt he would care.

Sorry, you can't lump me in with good bakers, either. I let the good ladies at Giant or Safeway do my baking for me.
