This show sucks. Never any kind of deals. In the very rare event that there's anything even close to being a bargain, it's gone within the first 30 minutes.

Agreed. Try to deal and if they are not outright rude, they look at you like you are from another planet. Apparently they did'nt get the word about the economy.

You're all right btw. There aren't many good deals and a lot of the vendors are rude, but it's because they can get away with it "in this economy." NoVA is comparatively very rich and people are willing to show up and shell out $ just to get in this show and they don't have a problem paying the price that is offered. The situation will never change until the drive the consumer from the marketplace.
Shop online and scope deals in your local stores. That will eventually fix the problem.

So what do the resident handgun experts here recommend for a pocket-sized pistol? Caliber? Make? Something small that will fit in my back pocket. I don't like carrying big iron most of the time.

Yes, some will. I've been offered trades from dealers before. No offense thought, but your Stoeger may not be very enticing to these dealers.

The gun show is a mad house. Last time it took over 30 minutes driving around in circles just to get a parking spot. Then I had to stand in line to get in.

I was looking at Kel-Tec stuff.

I got a Walther PPQ for $40 less at the gun show compared to a local dealer, the 2nd day of the show. You just have to look around, and compare prices at other local dealers. Best gun yet, I love my Walther.

@ boom_boom Getting a Kel Tec is not a bad idea. They come with a lifetime warranty. They're also relatively inexpensive. I thought this might be the sign of a cheaply built pistol, but I took what I thought was a gamble and bought one anyway. Since then, I've fired my 9 MM hundreds of times with no problems.

It's what Zimmerman used. Effective and each one comes with skittles

Be careful. Last year there was a debt collection agency there nabbing people for outstanding debts. I saw three people get server court papers.

He'll get four years. That's all.

He'll get off easy if they can keep him off the stand. This guy has the IQ of a creamsicle and there's no way he'll ever be able to explain his actions. The police dispatcher is on tape telling him to back off and wait for the police. So, being the brain surgeon he is, it looks like he ignored that advice and confronted Martin anyway. After predictably starting to get his butt kicked by Martin, this Gump then apparently executed him instead of leaving the scene. That makes him look like a complete punk. Moreover, self defense doesn't work as a defense if you deliberately put yourself in harms way. IMHO this dim wit is a liability to the gun rights movement regardless of what happens. I'm tired of seeing lunatics and especially morons like the Z-man undo in a minute what we gun rights advocates have been building for decades. Sorry about the diatribe.

On many of your points I agree, although it just seems to early really, to know what went on there. We may never know the whole story, with the missing time on the tape, the lack of credible witnesses, a dead man who can't talk now, who knows. But yes, he should have backed off, although we do not know what happened afterwards. That was a big, big mistake, as was the media person who doctored the tapes. I'm glad they were fired for such an egregious act of irresponsible reporting.

He'll get involuntary manslaughter. Yes, it could be considered voluntary manslaughter since the police told him to stop following and wait for police. But tough to prove that.

The sentence will be 20 years, that judge will have him serve 4 and suspend the rest of the sentence for probation.

Knowing the intelligence of Zimmerman he'll be back in jail after the 4 years on some other charge.
