Yes, the school they recently closed is haunted. Its an old historical building and is said to be haunted by the ghosts of all who attended school there. Seems to have been mostly quiet until the closing, but with all the negative/angry energy over its closing, has become a hellish cold sore of ectoplasmic activity.
