Centreville Wildcats vs Westfield Bulldogs (game of the decade)
Date: October 24, 2011 02:13AM

Ok so everyone who wants to talk about the upcoming game on friday and wants a place to not get ridiculed because the concorde district has the best two teams in the state can post here.

I have Centreville being a favorite by maybe (-0.5) because they get credit for having the home crowd however for those of you who know the school boundaries out there its really an even crowd base so once you take the crowd factor out you look at the team

Defense: Even
Rush offense: Even
Pass offense: Westfield (Quentin Basil and Matthew Pisarcik)

Even though the game is at centreville, I see Westfield winning by 3 points so something along the lines of 17-14 or 20-17.

Sure hope the CVille coach told the boys "this one's on me" after the game. You shut a team out for the first half, and a team that is used to scoring points in bunches....you shut them OUT. What do you do? Give them 7 points to start the 2nd half by playing cutsie razzle dazzle on the kickoff. WTF moron??? Did it look to you like they were going to suddenly start driving for tds on your defense? Didn't to me! They would have needed 4 friggen field goals to take the lead, yet you GAVE them the equivalent of 3 of those fgs on one play. Nice job. Way to hand the momentum back. They had none coming out of that locker room.

Nice prediction! And after watching, I can say you're right. Better qb on the Westfields side, but if not for the wildcats trying to be cute on the 2nd half kickoff when up 10-0, they win that game. HUGE dumb mistake. CVille's run D was much better. Manny Smith didn't have a great average, but he gashed them for just enough big plays to get CVille that 10-0 lead and doing something stupid like a reverse on a kickoff when you have that lead is JUST the way to let a team back into the game that was doing NOTHING on offense.

"Ok so everyone who wants to talk about the upcoming game on friday and wants a place to not get ridiculed because the concorde district has the best two teams in the state can post here.

Centerville definitely had the stronger offense, but fell victim to a scrappier Westfield defense and special teams.

Although Cville allowed Westfield to get that nasty, nasty quick TD in the second half, Westfield got VERY lucky with this win.

We'll be in for a treat in regionals.

The game was all worth the money and maybe more then some of the fans sitting in the stands expected. A fire broke out near the snack stand that sent the Cville athletic director running across the field to check on the situation before it was put out. Then, sadly a man had a heart attack during the 1st quarter. The AD ran to help out but it doesn't look good. CPR was administered on him for a good 10 minutes before EMS got there. He was blue at that point , and after they got him in the ambulance...it didn't leave til another 10 minutes later. If they didn't rush him to the hospital...its not a good sign.

Centreville hired Westfields former offensive coordinator so of course they shut them down. It was worth the money. Great game both teams

It was a great game dominated by both defences. If you ask me, the game was not dominated by Centreville but they were the better team on the field last night. If not for the fumble on the kickoff and a bad snap on a punt to give Westfields the ball in fieldgoal position, C'Ville wins.

Anybody have any idea if the guy who had a heart attack made it? Very sad to watch that.

What a pathetic night in more ways than one. First, I have never seen such rude, entitled, spoiled fucking brats as I did in the C-ville stand. I wonder if the parents of these kids could see how they were acting if they would approve? Probably, they learned that behavoir from somewhere. Nice job C-Ville parents. I guess the rudeness just keeps breeding.

Second, who the fuck is calling the offensive plays for C-Ville? Run up the middle, run up the middle, run up the middle, PUNT! WTF, I bet C-Ville had less than 6 pass ATTEMPTS. I have no clue how they have been undefeated up until this game. And don't say the ball was wet. Westfields passed throughtout the game, including their sudden death possession. Was the C-Ville QB hurt?

Centreville still carried for more yards, so why does it matter?

and I'm not sure what you're talking about in the stands because the kids seemed fine to me.

Centerville offense racked up roughly 200 yards and 10 points, Westfield roughly 75 yards and 6 points; ergo, Centerville had the stronger offense.

And yes, simultaneously, Centerville had their worst offensive performance for the year.

Next game between the two teams at Westfield should be another thriller, if C-ville is not knocked out first by Chantilly. Watch for that one...

We kicked Chantilly's butt last time, and we're gonna do it again. They are not a problem. When we play them again, it is going to be epic, and we're gonna show them whose boss. ps, Cville has the best Spirit Section FCPS has ever seen!

Obviously "Drill Sgt" is a Westfield fan. I was in stands, Cville kids were fine. Wish I could say same for Westfield kids, who rushed the field after the game en masse mouthing off to the Cville fans. I applaud the Cville kids for not also rushing the field and kicking their asses for the Westfield kids no-class display and lack of sportsmanship. So pathetic.

BTW Centreville gave away the game as everyone stated. Three turnovers. Westfield offense didn't do shit the whole game. When they rematch in November I expect CVille to win.

I was at Chantilly/Herndon last night and the Chargers still look like they are reeling from their murderers row schedule over the last three weeks. They won the game 28-0 last night, but one of those was a garbage-time TD and 'Tilly was up only 7-0 at halftime (mind you Herndon had given up an average of 41 ppg over their last three games). If Chantilly were playing someone like Westfield or Centreville last night, they would have been run out of the building ... (again).

If I were a Wst Fld. fan I sure as hell would not be on the C-Ville side. And yes, it was a classless display from the Bulldogs after the game. When they came over to the area where the C-Ville fans were exiting and mouthing off, I wish someone would have laid a few of them out.

I dont know where you were sitting but the group of kids that were in MY area were little fucking snotts that should be sent to some type of class to teach them how to act in a public setting with grandparents, small children and parents. Right next to me was an older couple...say mid to late 60's with a toddler, say 4-5. These kids have absolutely no filter. I am sure you would let your kids swear like a sailor in front of your parents, right? I know kids will be kids, but they have to realize there is a time and place. Sitting a foot behind adults and a small child was NOT the place. You are the problem with society today with your blinders on, or one of the heathen kids that saw no problem with being a heathen.

This guy wishes he were a Drill Sgt. A real DI would never use this language where kids would be exposed to it. So Wannabe you say the kids were rude. What exactly did you see?

And by the way they are undefeated because they have done all year what they did last night, dominated the line of scrimmage.

You think Wesfield dominated the line of scrimmage with their 75 yards of offense and 5 first downs compared to about 250 yards for Centreville? You are crazy. They won because their special teams outplayed Centreville. Centreville dominated the game except for special teams and turnovers.

Why cant you people get it right? Dont be scared to go against the norm. I am a Wildcat fan. The fact is they were out played last night. The coach that was calling the offensive plays must have been on crack last night. What the hell is 3 runs up the middle and then a punt...hell of a plan there. You see where it got them. Why didnt they pass a little more? All you people that have all the answers have avoided that one.

An for my little Nancy boy...Stay on topic ass jockey. (heard that one from one of your classmates in the stands)

No wonder we, as a country are going to hell in a hand basket. Todays youth if pathetic.

So apparently some kids from centreville spray painted the memorial to Dalton Goldsby, a kid who died from cancer, at Westfield high school. Now this game is even more personal, how low can you be to do something like that? I mean yes westfield has spray painted the C-vile bleachers and stuck forks in the field but NEVER did they spray paint a memorial to someone who died of cancer. Centreville high school, how classless can you be? #beatcentreville

Drill Sargent we are on the same side but try to keep up. I quoted someone who quoted you. That individual said that Westfield controlled the line of scrimmage, which is laughable. I can't say what students said what but I do know that Centreville dominated the line of scrimmage.

It's true that it happened but what is unsure is who exactly did it. Nobody's even sure that it was somebody from Centreville.. heard it might have been a girl over at Chantilly.

Honestly, I don't think anybody would have done something like that on purpose. They most likely thought it was a spirit rock(like other schools like South County, for example) have. No excuse, but maybe insight? I find it hard to believe somebody would do something like that on purpose.
