Haunted Houses in/around Fairfax
Posted by: gabydamage ()
Date: October 17, 2007 07:33PM

I googled "haunted houses, Fairfax, VA" and all that came up was real, historic haunted houses. I'm talking about the haunted houses purely for Halloween entertainment. Does anyone know if there are any around here?

Well I don't know about helloween, but go near that graveyard site on Village Fountain street in Centreville. They took it down or something, and put up new houses. And now those people who brought and live in that place say they keep getting spooked..

I'm looking for those cheesy "haunted" houses people set up specifically during Halloween......I can't find anything, unless of course I go to DC. All I can find is pumpkin patches and hayrides for kids. Maybe there isn't anything going on in Fairfax. Then again, going to Wegman's on a Saturday gives me a pretty good scare....

Though it wasn't a "haunted house," I went to wicked woods and it was fun. About an hour drive away. http://www.wicked-woods.com/

EDIT: I can't type to save my life today.

You must not have searched very hard because I copy and pasted your exact query into google and the fourth result down takes you to this
http://www.hauntedhouse.com/search/Haunted_Attraction_Directory/_USA_,040All_50_States,041/Virginia/more2.html

The first link on that take you to a place in Manassas

http://www.deadendcemetery.com/

It is probably one of the worst done webpages I have seen done in a while though.

Try a Yahoo search "halloween fairfax va"....Hollyween (#4 on the list) might be what you are looking for...a "local decorated house open to the public", have never been to it, but looks like it could be fun.

Don't remember the name of it, but there's a real good one in Maryland. It's in a bus and in large tents and supposedly will scare adults so bad they cry, it's received alot of awards though. I'm not sure if I want to pay someone to make me cry. I'll check out the name

I've been to the haunted trail in Clifton! It's not bad. Probably not for most kids under 5 or 6. It's a good laugh with a few scary moments along the way.

Westfield High School is scary. It's hallowed halls are forever haunted by the souls of meth heads, and ol' g's lost to the gang wars of London Towne.
