Brawl at Prosperity Medical Center

You guys, I just watched a knock-down drag-out screamin'-meemie fist- and kick-fight between two grown women in front of one of the Prosperity Medical Center buildings.
It was all because one women parked her car behind another in the drop off lane where NEITHER of them were supposed to park in the first place. Fighter A at least tried to walk away from the initial yelling match, but Fighter B kept following and screaming at her, and then slammed her hand on Fighter A's rear window (pretty damn hard too, if I heard it from far away). Then Fighter A hulked out and grabbed Fighter B by the brastraps and they went at it, while Fighter B started yodeling "HALP HAAAAALP OH MAH GAAAAAAD!" An elderly patient from one of the cancer clinics actually got between them to stop it, talk about guts. Now there are no less than three cop cars here to take statements about a simple fight.
It was the highlight of my morning.

Simple Fight? Bah Humbug!
It is assault AND battery! They just won some court dates and Fairfax Courts has some additional revenue.
Suggest they fight over who gets to Greenspun first.

Sad fact is that the law has reached the point where a simple fight IS assault and battery. From the description it sounds as if each of these women were in a position to walk away from the encounter and each of them instead chose to stand and prove who was the BIGGER MAN. The law does not need to step in and protect two idiots from the natural consequences of their own actions.
As for revenue, my guess is between cop time and court employee time the county will come out the loser on this, money wise. However anyone who got a tape of this may haave a gem to post on the internet, and give the cancer patient a medal.

people fight over stupid stuff these days. I had a man wanting to whip my ass because I held the door open for his lady AND HIM. Forgive me for being polite, but that's the way MY PARENTS RAISED ME.

Killing someone in a duel became murder by statute in Virginia around 1850. Merely fighting a duel-who knows because it has been done by judges on a case by case basis.
