Good point, like you said, LD posts screen shots or other people's FB all the time. And 9/10 times these are random people not in the public eye. Dukes uses social media to trash people all the time. Calling him out on it is fair game.

Did you hear his recent comments about Rugby also? He even admitted he's sort of a tool and just wanted to say he played rugby. He can't stay with something more than 3 months, that band had no chance of making it. Plus, half the people just wanted to be in it because Chad was in it and they didn't want to get left behind as he moved on to his new interest.

Enough of the shows listeners here check out the thread at least and it comes up when you google the shows name. Youtube people probably wouldnt find it and I dont tweet. If people see it they see it. If not I at least get a little entertainment out of it.

But you could also just get your car inspected problem solved. It takes an hour max once a year. Plus you dont know how long it had expired. It could have been months for all we know

I think people here for the most part do like the BOAD brand of entertainment.

Let me rephrase that; people here DID like the BOAD brand of entertainment. Then the show went to shit.

The show’s plummeting quality also happened to directly coincide with Chad becoming a complete dick.

It’s my belief that it was these two things happening simultaneously that led to the Chad Dukes hate in this thread going completely through the roof. If the show sucked, but Chad was a genuinely nice guy who was respectful to his fans I think people would be more understanding.

On the flip side; if Chad was a complete dick but the show was funny as hell on a week to week basis, I think people would tolerate that too. (Early Howard Stern always trashed and hung up on callers all the time---he also got away with it)

Dukes however just seems to be a bitter prick who’s show (now) is barely tolerable. Couple that with the fact that he ridicules fans for things like saying they like Van Halen or some actress is pretty or other dumb shit and it should be no surprise that his fan base now can’t stand him.

Read the earlier posts in this thread and compare them to more recent ones. There is a stark difference.

Please, Don doesn't appeal to anyone who isn't under 12 or mentally retarded. It WAS funny to listen to Opie and Anthony tear him to shreds on live air though. So I guess that was probably the funniest thing he has ever done.

BTW Chad went twitter crazy last night tweeting jason segal or whatever and trying to 'teach him how to use twitter'. It was psychotic how many times he tweeted him without segal ever responding.

I saw those Jason Segel tweets. I don't know what is more pathetic, how hard Dukes tries to be noticed by celebs on Twitter (he used to routinely mention Steve Austin and Eric Stohlhanske from Broken Lizard hoping for dialogue because they responded once), or the fact that he thinks he is some master of Twitter. Hey Dukes, no one cares that you watch Star Trek TNG everynight. And no one wants to follow Sven Lloyd or Dick Smoker, stop asking people to.

Plus Segel appeared to join Twitter solely to pimp the Muppets movie. I'm sure Dukes would rip the idea of seeing that movie because he is an adult who likes wrestling, video games, action figures, and can't keep his car's inspection current.

I feel stupid for not knowing this, but was this a long time ago or recently? Was Don doing this when he was with D&M? Was this when Don was off the air and just calling in to their show like from his house, or was he on the air too?

Exactly. I was a huge fan (5+ years, even abroad and other states), and I want to continue being a fan. However, with every passing 'bit' (and that's what they are, Chad, sad non-clever attempts at drawing attention to yourself) and 'Do as I dictate, not as I do' facebook and twitter posts, I come this much closer to leaving as a fan, and not coming back.

There was a time where the joshing was an equal-opportunity affair. Now we see it rarely on the podcast (Plastic Paddy comes to mind) and the self deprecations are few and far between, usually in self-defense when being called out (as much as Oscar and Drab have the cojones to do) for being a dick. Subject matter is insular and not all that humorous, therefore the asshole behavior is not worth the squeeze.

I've defriended Chad on Twitter and Facebook. I come around here to see the reviews about podcast quality, because I continue to hope for the show that used to make my monotonous workday bearable. And I disagree with this week's critique: the lambasting Oscar received for not being able to keep his broadcasting gigs separate is hysterical, as in over-kill. And Chad's analogy that he keeps his Lavar blatherings off the podcast is an unfair comparison. A. It appears that most of what he wants to say would mean goodbye to his contract and/or its extensions, and also the subject matter is apples to oranges, whereas (and I haven't listened in two years, so I may be wrong) TMOS and BOAD seem to both be nothing but personal/topical, with very little sports, so overlap is possible, if not inevitable. They repeat the Drab "get-right" with every incarnation, why can't he give a little leeway with mentioning a side character on another show?

I'm not pro-troll. I think the "Girl Upstairs" handle and everything else Chad described as allegedly happening is unfathomably annoying. But going after Oscar because he mentioned something relevant in his life in an empty apartment building was unnecessary and not in the least entertaining.

Yes, I'm bitter, the majority of us are bitter on this web site. And Sven/3rd Mikers on the show? I am unsubscribing from the iTunes feed and not paying attention to anything show-related until I see on this forum that they do anything more interesting than gazing into Chad's navel. Unless I lose interest first, and stop bothering even to check in.

I don't think I'm alone in this. And sorry for the really long vent. Not as sorry as I am though that Chad has jumped the shark, because in the olden days I would have totally been down for a "Die Hard" screening.

Can someone explain why the show keeps pushing Sven Lloyd? We get it, he is gay. Great. He isn't funny, and he isn't interesting. The show would improve if they stopped insisting he play a big role in it.

It's hard to have content when you don't have a lot going on in your life to discuss. I mean Oscar's shit is usually boring (wow, went to Vegas again) and Chad is just angry now. He's the one who could actually tell a story in an engaging manner but won't ever do it now. So, as a result, they try and pad time with their circle of idiots (who are incredibly uninteresting as anything but a once a month story).
