The Mike O'Meara thread had a 27 month head start on this thread which partially explains why it has so many more posts.
It also had WTL (the OP) to guarantee at least 10 posts per day lol!.

I think everyone expects the Failcast to explode messily. BOAD have other jobs, so they'll probably just fade out. It doesn't seem to be getting any better (still mostly peanut gallery focused), but can be amusing at times. Plus, besides Dukes' crazy delusion of belonging on XM, they seem to be relatively accepting of the size of their fanbase. They've seen the live show burnout, and have been honest about it. Things have just been status quo lately, which isn't great, but also isn't surprising. Not much to talk about.

Yeah that is mostly the feeling that I got when it first came out. I'm sure part of it is some worry about how unstable he is and what he might do to Chad, but mostly I think it was a mix of concern and realization that he was potentially a danger to himself (and his gf/fiance/whatever).

Yeah that is mostly the feeling that I got when it first came out. I'm sure part of it is some worry about how unstable he is and what he might do to Chad, but mostly I think it was a mix of concern and realization that he was potentially a danger to himself (and his gf/fiance/whatever).

Son let me tell you something about RG the 3 that nobody else will tell you see see see I know what it is like to be a hurt aflete and only another athlete will be able to tell you this because nobody else knows what goes through an athlete's mind like an athlete does so I know what he is going through and how tough it is because as an athlete you want to be an athlete and being an athlete is all you want to be and and and and and that is what you know and what you know is being an sthlete and nobody can come close to explaining it like I can because I am an athlete just like RG the 3 or Robert and he knows this too knows the athlete I am so we can talk about it and I can call if I want and we can talk about it becuase that is what we do when you know another athlete and know what athletes do and things.

I've been listening to the Junkies show podcasts lately. It's great because you can pick and chose segments to listen to based on their descriptions (and avoid ones like interviews with some rando baseball statistician). Drab and Valdeez are a pretty funny pair on the show.

Most of the podcasts I listen to (and I listen to about 20 or so) are either conversational/interviews with different guests each time (ie Carolla, Econtalk, Bryan Callen) or news (Nature, Dan Carlin, The Wall Street Journal This Morning). Big O and Dukes is alone in that they rely entirely on themselves to provide content and we can all agree that hasn't made for a very interesting podcast.
I will say though, I always thought that Chad unintentionally sabotaged interviews, I remember when they interviewed Forrest Griffin he asked some awkward question and shortly after Griffin dropped an f-bomb and hung up. I also remember when they interviewed the guy from Tough Love on VH1 he told the guy that he looked like a douche bag, but is actually a good guy, or something to that effect. Still, it's gotta be an improvement than relying on the peanut gallery.

His anger of the "rude" comment just reinforces a couple things.
1) He is obsessed with how people see him. The guy didn't tag him on his tweet. Dukes had to go out and search for his name and find this one, unless for some reason one of his peanut gallery guys follows this guy. Putting in some effort to find random tweets about "Chad Dukes" rather than just seeing who mentioned @ChadDukes.
2) Despite over a decade in radio, he has yet to develop any tolerance for this stuff. Who cares about this guy? It certainly isn't worth reposting to your ball washers.
3) What happened to self-deprecating Dukes? Laugh it off in public. If it bothers you in private, then fucking do something. Instead you get the "woe is me" and "I'm going to work hard now" out on display for the Dukes mafia to pile on to.
And what is with these looks. The bandana and scarf? The guy with a beard wearing a tank top and suspenders? Does he not realize that him and his crew are basically hipsters? Except instead of skinny jeans and alt music, they dress like Prohibition era moonshiners and listen to country?

Interviews suck and I pray they don't go that route because that's sure death.
However, I guess it wouldn't really matter because if I don't listen now it isn't like I'm going to listen, even if they get A list people to talk to them. I simply don't care what canned response someone gives to some crappy pre-scripted questions.
The peanut gallery is probably better (I won't listen to that either though).

I think podcast interviews, at least the good ones, tend to be more conversational than terrestrial radio interviews. I don't know if BOAD have that in them.

The last sentence completely encapsulates my ire for fat dukes. He makes statements like "I hate hipsters" THAT'S WHAT YOU ARE YOU DOUCHEBAG. Someone get that asshole some horn rimmed glasses and call it a day, maybe piss-dick-leg or toe-hand-back, then go listen to a band noone's heard of, because they're not big yet
