I don't think there is any way to deny that the awful Easter picture of the couple with their stupid cupcakes is lame and unmanly, but there is also no denying that Dukes' HAGLing of the guy is pathologically self-destructive and pointless. This kind of sentiment is nothing new to this thread, but it never ceases to amaze me how eager Dukes seems to ensure that he is unemployed and unemployable in his middle years. He works in the entertainment industry -- an industry in which long-term success is utterly fucking dependent on cultivating a supportive and paying fan-base -- yet comes across as completely contemptuous of the people who should make up that base. Once his days at WJFK come to an end (as they inevitably will), no one in their right mind in the radio industry is going to want to hire someone who seems to go out of their way to piss off and alienate people (and not in a good way). It just doesn't make any sense for Dukes to act that way... until you consider that he is psychotic.
What's crazy is that I stopped listening to the podcast well over a year ago, but I just cannot turn away from the impending train wreck that is Chad's life and career (I read this thread regularly and still follow him on Twitter). Nope. Never worked for the show or station. Just a "listener" that Chad tried to use to get things out of, and when i was doing my own show online and drew a better crowd than he did at a midnight game launch he's hated me every since.

I just found this forum not too long ago and saw what others were saying about the show. I shared my story, sorry if you don't like it. I suppose assholes like Chad would rather this stuff get swept under the rug because deep down he's majorly insecure. Not only am I a supporter of Chad, but also a friend. A lot of people who start off as fans of Chad decide that they want to ride Chad's coat tails for their own selfish reasons like OffTopicTom. They can't just sit back and be entertained. That is why Dukes comes across that way at times, because otherwise people would be walking all over him. You see, Chad sees through the bs. He sees through the fakeness and he won't tolerate it. That is why he has cut his so called friends in the past. They had ulterio motives to being his friend and that's just not cool.
