She died in a car crash on rt 90 in OC.

A car swerved to avoid an accident on the opposite side of the road she was on (90), and hit her head on. She was taken to shock trauma and died.

She was 50 and was alone at the time of the accident.

Probably one of the most shocking and upsetting things I have heard over the radio since 9/11. I have listened to the show for 15 years and always enjoyed listening to Freda and Don argue, make-up, banter, etc...I think most wives and mothers to older children could identify with her.

My deepest condolences and thoughts go out to Don, Bart and Freda's family.

Freda was always so sensible and forthright and added great balance to a show that could be side-splittingly vulgar. I enjoyed the often hilarious glimpses inside Don and Freda's marriage, and Don seemed much more likable to me for the mere fact that he was married to Freda. I always thought that the worst news I might hear about them would be that they were splitting up, but after a decade of listening, I stopped worrying. This is so much more devastating. An amazing, authentic family. God bless them.

I felt as though someone had punched me in the gut when I heard this. And - no offense to anyone on the D&M Show - my first thought was "Why Freda??". She was Don's anchor, truly and he protected her at every turn.

Even though he once threatened the livlihood of extended family members by his actions.... I know it was because he thought she might be in danger. (The mulch they had laid combusted - which is not something anyone can predict.).

He loved her so very much.

I was totally devestated when I heard the news on the show today. A lot of folks have said it already, but it is so true, hearing about Freda was like hearing your best friend passed away. I always compared Don and Freda's arguments to one's my wife and I would have - they were so typical and normal and it made for a great kinship with them. My heart goes out to Don and Bart, Freda's family and the whole WJFK family. This will be so tough for them I can't even imagine. If anyone from the show reads these threads, know that we, the listeners, know there's little we can do but offer our condolences and thoughts. If any arrangements are made to have a memorial service we'd appreciate hearing about it on the station website. Thank you.

How dare some (Fill in the nasty name) post her driving tickets..........I dare say all of us have broken the speed limit. She was innocent victim at the wrong place and time. Obviously no way out. I was shocked and crushed when I got in my car and tuned it. I have listened for over 13 yrs. The D&M family got me through an abusive marriage and I was lucky enought to tell them in person and make it on the show with only niceness from the guys. My heart goes out to all of them. I lost my mother suddenly and still grieve. Yes in time the pain dulls but it will never go away. My thoughts and prayers are with Don and Bart and family. I had tears streaming all the way home (hour commute). My husband asked what was wrong and I broke down. All of you are right. We might not know them personally but everyday they are part of all of our lives. Rest easy Freda. We'll miss you.

I have listened to the Don & Mike Show for over 10 years. They were like listening to a modern day George Burns & Gracie Allen.

They were funny without meaning to be, but they shared their personal problems for all to hear. They were loved and respected for the honesty and feeling they shared with each other. We all will miss Freda.

To show their address and her driving record shows a total lack of sensitivity and class on the person who posted it.

Having listened to the D&M Show since the WAVA days, this hits close to home. Not knowing any of the radio family personally, nevertheless I got to know them almost as intimately as my close friends...their quirks, passions, squabbles, loves. They would bare it all, including Freda. You could tell in the exchanges between Don and Freda that their's was a great relationship. This accident seems so senseless. Right place at the wrong time, I guess.

I had just gotten in my truck after another hot day on the job and was looking forward to some good times with my "friends" for the ride home when I heard the tragic news. I couldn't have predicted that I would feel as sad as I do. But like many here I feel a great loss. I feel terrible for the families, and the radio show will truly miss her. Freda seemed to be the show's moral anchor. My condolences and sympathies to Bart and Don. I'm truly sorry.

Well I will admit when Don and Freda would talk I would be in my car thinking "Oh crap, he's chatting with her again.". It was like... "Come on, enough already!"

Then I heard the news today. I am so saddened by her passing. You could tell, even via the airways how much Don loved Freda and visa versa. I am really going to miss her. Whenever I hear "sweetpea" I think of her.

My prayers go out to all that knew and loved her.

On a day when search engines can potentially bring thousands of people to a site known to locals, the ticket posting was poor judgment and in poor taste. I hope, Robert, in your deepest, darkest hour - someone is kinder to you than you have been with your posting. I shall chalk it up to the youthful indescretion.

Life is indeed precious. Days like this cause us to pause and take stock of the important relationships in our own lives.

Rest in Peace, Freda.

My sympathy to Don, Bart, Big Freda, and all their family and friends.I especially remember how Don would openly discuss on the air some of his more..let's say..intimate moments with Freda. She went along with it too because she was a such a good sport. Don often remarked that he thoroughly enjoyed making love to his wife and "doing the deed" to her. How wonderful that after 20+ years of marriage, he still desired her that much. Here's to the memory of Freda, a beautiful and classy lady.

I feel so sad as well. I can't listen to the radio show where I live now, but I listened from 1985 when I was in high school all through my adult life until moving to central California. My brother emailed me the sad news today and I've felt sad all day long. I remember Bart saying at the end of each show something about "don't be so tight, give my daddy more money." My gosh Bart must have been about 4 or 5 years old then. To think he grew up with his daddy on the radio and his mom being home with him and sending him off to college now he doesn't have her anymore to call and talk to or see when he comes home. That really tears at my heart knowing how close of a family they were. You all are so lucky that you can listen to the show every day. I miss the show and when I'm back in the DC area I'll miss Don talking to Freda on the air. Rest in peace Freda!!

She was a wife, mother, and daughter to people that cared about her. Nothing else matters. Tickets mean nothing. People like that deserve no recognition at all. Ignore the idiots. I don't understand why people are all angry at rstidman. It was a joke on the D&M show for years about Freda's tickets and bad driving. Now posting their address with those tickets was in poor taste, but the tickets themselves made me remember Freda in a good way. It was funny, it was made light of on the show for years and years. This traffic accident was NOT HER FAULT. Therefore, whats not to love about remembering Freda, whether it was her traffic tickets, beauty or just plain commen sense? Freda was someone we all loved obviously, but yes, it was funny at times when Don talked about her little fender benders or traffic tickets. I think that poster remembered that, and tried to find his own way of remembering Freda. You other people should be ashamed, or not really Don and Mike fans, because it WAS FUNNY when we first heard of those tickets.

Especially after looking forward to hearing their stories of their vacation, only to hear Mike's somber voice telling us what happened. :(

I can identify with what Bart must be going through, my father died in the summer, right after having a long family vacation, just as I began college (many years ago). I hope that he has the strength to finish college and make Freda proud.

rstidman did nothing harmful. George, JC and pgen understand, it is a shame that you missed it.

What is your objection to the posting of the information? Based upon the nature of this forum (and the whole site), the posting was appropriate and expected. Personal attacks upon rstidman about his posting are inappropriate, however they are expected. If you have an issue with his posting, contact him in private; on the other hand, if you have a problem with the content of his posting, what are you doing on this site? (have you used the "Arrest/Ticket Search" feature of this site?)

Are your thoughts the only appropriate thoughts and feeling that should be posted? Do you *know* what everyone else is feeling? I think not! Live your own life, under your own "moral values" system, and stop forcing your views on others.

Let people pay tribute in their own way.

I am not sure that posting public domain is considered a tribute in this case. If you were refering the tickets Freda had gotten than why not just mention them instead of posting address and all........?
As Don would say so often to ignorant callers, Listen........ASSSWIPE. Where are you calling from and what is your first name...?

You have become an official member of the Don and Mike blog club.

What city does your mother live in.......? Maybe put a little more forethought into your expressions. Your total lack of respect cannot be condoned.

In Stidman's defense, he was simply trying to add some of the fairfax underground mentality to an overly 'sensitive' thread about someone you didn't know personally. All of you people should simply dick off, because you aren't members here. It's really crazy too that this is the only forum that it's been posted on, and that google is showing us for the number one amount of "Freda Sorce".

I didn't listen to Don and Mike cause they suck but regarding her passing condolences to personal family and friends. Don was a lucky man, she was pretty hot. To that,

Ok, enough of the RStidman blasting.

First, since I publicly blasted RStidman - I publicly apologize.

After reading through this neat little forum - I now have the feel for it. Apparently regulars here post the arrest records of "celebrities" on a regular basis. So, this was not an attack on Freda Sorce, it was in its own little way, a tribute.

Exactly... we do that stuff all the time. Coming here and bashing people for it is a bit like walking into Hooters and criticising the big tits. I can see where new readers would be shocked by that kind of thing and its understandable, but the topic of the thread is the late Mrs. Sorce and not rstidman.

My God... do people that come here actually think this site is a Don and Mike site? I don't think they were mentioned in any thread here before the Freda Sorce story. Maybe that's where the confusion is... people think this is a Don and Mike site when it isn't... we talk about arrests, hookah bars, and general fairfax crapola here. THIS ISN'T A DON AND MIKE SITE.

Sick humor is the basis of the Don and Mike show. What's wrong with continuing that tradition. Anyone who has ever laughed realizes that laughter helps the healing. Having lost a wife, sister, and others close to me, I'm no stranger to pain but our little chatter here will do nothing to begin or end Don's pain. He has to come to terms with it on his own as will Bart.

Let it go.

I worked with Freda before she knew Don back on WHFS-FM in Bethesda. She was the public service director and we shared an office for a year or so. Many forget she also had her own radio career before becoming "wife of Don" - worked at WASH etc. She was a wonderful person when I knew her back in her 20's and appears to have remained so throughout her too-short life. My condolences go to her family and friends, both personal and in the radio audience.

The Freda thing is beyond tragic.

The Don & Mike show sucks. If the people who call in to that show are indicative of its true fans, then you're all a bunch of dumbasses.

Rstidman makes me laugh on a daily basis. Much more than the Don & Mike show ever could.

I felt like a close friend had died and especially felt bad for Don (mike) and Bart and Big Freda as well as the other D&M crew.
I have looked all over the internet to try to answer the one question that makes me not understand how this accident could have come to such a tragic conclusion.
Air bags save many lives especially from head-on collisions....what could have happenned with her air bag? I'm sure all Lexus's have them.

Air bags protect your head from hitting the windshield, not from a 60+mph cummulative impact (assuming the SUV was going 40 and she was going 20, don't know what the real speeds are) between two differently-sized vehicles (SUV vs sedan). Sedan may have partially gone under SUV, engine compartment could have been crushed into passenger compartment, sudden neck injury bad enough to cause eventual fatality, etc.

Well this post isnt necessarilly about Freda. I'm sorry that she passed away.

I wanted to address an issue I have with an aspect of the Don & Mike show, and Don's behavior at certain times.

I've listened to their program since WAVA, sometimes its funny, sometimes its not. The times I dont think its funny is when I hear Don yelling at callers or even wishing death on those people and their families. I can recall at least two instances in June where has Don attempted to be funny, by making fun of someones age or physical condition ie Gordon Liddy and Larry King. Granted those people are celebrities and I guess it could be funny. But I just dont get the humor in it. You dont hear these types of rants coming out of Mikes mouth really, its all Don. I think its his way to make up for the fact that he isnt as good a comedian as his counterpart.

In other instances, he has wished death and injury to callers, who merely call in to voice their opinion of the show good or bad. In any event, if its a comment someone has in which Don doesnt like or dissagree's with, he definitely will degrade and belittle the person calling and make deragatory comments. Maybe the first couple times its funny hearing this. I think the way Mike presents negativity to callers (in a more logical fashion) is more humorous than by the way Don looses his temper, yells at the caller, and calls them names.

Has anyone ever hear Ron and Fez do this to a caller? I havent, and to be truthful, their show makes me laugh more. They havent even been around that long. Does Howard Stern constantly yell at people and wish death upon them? Yes Howard is raunchy and provacative, but I think in a more sensible way.

I know some of you will come back to me indicating that "I just dont get it" or that Im an "asshat". Any of these comments would indicate to me that they really dont have any sensible argument to make to me regarding this post, and their simpletons by just disregarding my thoughts and post alltogether (without a logical argument).

My lesson of the week? No matter how much you dislike someone, never wish ill-will or death upon them or their families. I've seen charma has a way of coming back to people. Im not even that religious, but the way we as people treat others affects our own lives.

I hear what you're saying and it is lamentable when any radio personality succumbs to mean spirited behavior in the pursuit of humuor. But don't put Howard Stern on a pedastal in regard to this sort of thing.

When he was married to the much maligned Alison, he would, on a regular basis, tell any porn star, Penthouse Pet or stripper that came into his studio, that he did not really have a wife and that she had died in an auto accident or had died of cancer. He did this so frequently, that even Robin Quivers became uncomfortable with it. I always thought he should be careful about what he said and not tempt fate. Alison was understandably upset with these frequent remarks and as we all now know, his need to have his wife "gone" were really desires to be unmarried.

I'm sure there alot of things Don regrets saying...I'm sure he regrets buying Freda the car she ended up dying in, I'm sure he regrets that they didn't travel back from Ocean City in his car, instead of splitting up and going in two cars...the list could go on and on of regrets. I'm sure he feels badly now about some of things he's said to callers that were cruel or in poor taste.

It is a tragic end to a life that seemed to be the rock of that family...when he comes back August 1st, I know I will be listening. In the meantime, he should take solace in the fact that so many listeners, even the annoying ones that get yelled at, are thinking of him and his family and hoping that they can get through this nightmare.

This was there time together, son growing into his own at school, Freda starting a new career, a home at the beach, I listened to the macho, sexist stuff on the show hoping Freda would call in and hold their feet to the fire!!!! Freda you are missed more than anyone will ever know!!!! How would her tickets contributed in any way to the way she was killed???? Poor, poor Don and big Freda and Bart. I wish I could do or say a thing that would help bring her back. Perhaps we could all be a bit kinder to each other and drive a bit slower and safer in her memory???

I have become addicted to the Don & Mike Show in 1997 when I first started driving a tractor trailer and was around the Baltimore/Washington area. This is the first time I had ever really been out of Pennsylvania and heard other radio formats besides just music. It was always nice to hear Freda call in and speak to Don, no matter what the subject matter was.

You could tell that Don really loved Freda and vice-versa throughout the time I have listened to them. Yes Don moaned and groaned about some of the extravegance that FREDA went through when their house was remodeled, however I believe that the effort was well worth it, as Freda sounded like a model housewife and a great mom as well to Bart......

God Bless the Geronimo Family and the staff of WJFK at their time of loss...... Take care....

I too have been listening to Don & Mike for quite sometime. I didn't like the way Don spoke to his callers sometimes but I knew it was part of the show and I would hope that he really isn't like that. I'm not sure how anyone would be able to come back from this kind of tragedy and go back on the air so soon. I hope he is strong enough to handle the stresses and loss of his new "reality".

I did not lose a husband - but I lost my son and I know I will never be the same again. As much as I want to go back to "my old self" - I have not succeeded. I will never get past this loss and it never gets "better". I do not put my head in the sand.......I go to work everyday, go out with my friends and spend time with my other family members but the way I am in front of other people --- it is just a front to shield them from my grief.

It's tough and I wish Don and his family all the best.

OPEN LETTER TO FREDA

by rob

Dear Freda,

Hey, what's going on. Oh yeah, sorry. Didn't mean to make you uncomfortable.

I just wanted to send you a note to show you how much you meant to all us listeners of the Dom and Ike Show. Alll (the extra L is for "love") those times you would call in and yell at Dom - whoo boy, I felt like I was right there!!!! I thought it was MY wife yelling at ME for wrecking yet another car or calling you an old hag. Or corrupting our son's morals through vice and treachery.

You sure taught that fat load Dom a lot. I mean, yeah, he would just wreck another car and get caught with some new drugs, but I mean, who hasn't? Drugs probably made your shrill voice a lot easier to deal with, so I give you kudos for allowing Dom the space he needed to repair from the grasp of your vocal chords. That's what makes me admire you so... your tolerance.

Obviously the irony that he crashed the car a million times and never died, and you crashed yours once and it wasn't even your fault, has occurred to me. And I don't want you to pay ANY MIND to those years - 1991 to 2004 - when members of several Dom and Ike intarweb message boards would call each day for your shrill voice to be silenced. The methods they suggested were less than chivalrous. Several of them (with hope) closely predicted your end in those very posts..as long as ten years ago!!!! I never forgot them. And I will never forget you.

I guess the reason everyone is so distrurbed by your passing is because their own lives, mine included, are so empty. They saw this everyday tragedy befall a man they secretly loathe - it's hard to love Dom as he treats others like dirt - and they realized that a life that stood to contrast his must be very full. Losing this kind of fullness, a fullness none of us stands to achieve anytime soon, leaves a dark spot in our common thread. A hole. As if millions of voices cried out all at once, and were suddenly silenced.

Good day to you, ma'am. I SAID GOOD DAY!!!!

I have been on vacation and out of the state for 2-weeks. The show doesn't air in Dallas until midnight and goes to 3 a.m. I tuned in last night only to hear the dumb ass local radio show that airs at 3 in the afternoon. After I got to work tonight I thought I would check out theie web site to see if they were taken off the station here. I new something had happened so I googled her name and found this web site. I have only been listenening for a little over 2 years, but I am deeply saddened. I dig the show and feel for everyone. Ya know, it's always something. I feel for the family and all her and Dons friends and of course Bart. Damn I feel sad.

Peace

Hey... you say you are in Central Cal... have you tried to get D&M on 1140 AM from noon til 4?

I'm typing with tears in my eyes, as I was on a vacation last week & just heard the news today. I am so broken hearted for those men & families I have never met.

Love you guys,

NinjaSk8ter , you are right on.

I'm not a big fan of the show, and its because of Don; I think Mike is hilarious and talented but a sycophant (the way he sucks up to a protects Don, who has not the wit to protect himself, is disgusting) and even Buzz is funny, but Mike is one of those guys who probably can't be original or witty, so he stoops to being rude and offensive in order to generate something that might capture a listener's interest. He is an example of the worst of what the Stern imitators have to offer. There is a definite market for this, and Don knows it. They have had great success with this formula.

That having been said, Freda was to all outward appearances an absolutely lovely woman and despite Don's mugging for the microphone, you got the real sense their love for each other was immense and genuine. I enjoyed the occasions when she was on the show. I often felt that she was too good for him and that he did not deserve her (opinions which I suspect he shares), and they seemed a real mismatch; she classy and sensitive, he crass and ignorant. But I am also sure that the persona we see on the air as DG is not Mike Sorce, and that he brought much to their relationship that we don't see on the air. The show is, after all, just his job, and he just a performer. DG may bear little or no resemblence to MS, for all we know.

Whatever my opinions of him or the show may be, they do not diminish the immensity of this tragedy. She was a lovely, classy, funny, sexy and affectionate wife and mother taken from her family long before her time. Whenever someone of this caliber passes, it is a true tragedy. My heart goes out to her and her family. I do not know how I would survive the loss of such a beautiful and vibrant woman, were I in their place. And that emotion transcends wether or not I happen to like a particular radio show.

I am so devastated by the loss of Freda. Don, Mike, Rob, Buzz, Freda and the rest of the gang have grown to seem like family though I don't know them personally. I am so sad for Don, Bart, and the rest of the WJFK family. Those of us who are listeners are going to GREATLY miss hearing Freda on the air and stories of her and Don together.

May God be with the Wright/Sorce/WJFK Families at this great time of loss.

We love and miss you Freda.

If you really cared you would find out where her grave is and visit it everyday, falling into an emotional wreck each time you arrive.

But have you all forgotten how many time don wished death apon a listener or a listeners wife, husband, etc. How many times he said he wished he had a button that would blow up a caller he didn't agree with. My prayers are with them both and the rest of the family, but be carefull what you say Don!!!

Rob, saying you really like Freda is like saying you really like Sponge Bob. You don't even know either. Both are (were) media personalities and you only know what was portrayed there. You don't know her. I don't either. Certainly it was a sad situation that would be wish on anyone but that's as far as it goes. No personal loss for me and no personal loss for you. Same is true for all the other poor whimpering slobs who happened to stumble across this site searching for information.

More accurately, Don invited Fairfax County post his address by getting arrested, as is procedure.

I don't think he was referring to this site with the address thing because he lumped it in with a funeral home time/date/address thing which I didn't see here.

But yeah, sending stuff to his house is a little tactless... people know of him through a radio station so they should send things to the Fairfax City studio.

The only things I have heard Don say specifically about "Internet Sites" was that he was pissed about people saying that Freda was drunk / speeding / otherwise breaking a law when the accident occured and that it was in poor taste for someone to fans to send shit to his house. He also may have mentioned not being terribly happy about the home phone and adress being in the public domain, but then he has FFX County to thank for that bit of info.

Seeing as he has already made fun of a recent celebrity death, It would be pretty hypocritical for him to be too offended at some of the more amusing posts in this thread.

Ha. Ha. Ha. Dumbass. Have ya thrown up, just a little, in your mouth yet, from the worry? Through all the morass of your crap postings, you just keep sticking to 'it's public information because Fairfax PD makes it public'.

Just because something is known, it doesn't always have to be made obvious. But I think you'll finally understand that concept once all YOUR 'known' information becomes a bit more 'obvious'.

Sucks you to be you . . . not because of Don, but because in the end, you gotta live with you . . . in your guts . . . that face in the mirror.

Even the name under which you posted was sick. I hope when someone you love dies, you'll be inundated with hurtful, perverse, mean-spirited jibes and sarcasm. You will receive in turn what you so thoughtlessly give out. Wait. Perhaps, since it would appear you are lacking the capacity for warmth and compassion - you've only yourself to love and won't care what is said when you're gone. I'm sure only the best of humans will even notice -

I listened yesterday to Don's rage at RStidman who is as sadistic, unhuman, and unconscionable a monster as I've known about in recent years. Freda Sorce was a kind, loving, lovely human being and hardly deserves such callous treatment. Her driving record is not the issue. Some do not deserve that classification of being termed "human". It is redundant to say this individual is one of those.

God bless Freda in her passing, and Don and Bart - and all her family and friends, in their journey now wi'out her. It goes lengths to repair the damage that beast is doing to see all the warm, compassionate, and genuinely kind posts. Freda touched people's lives every day - Don needs to know how much his wife was loved.

Dang, Stidman!

Was this a total bullshit, "I gotta pull this kid over and give him a ticket" ticket or what?

P.S. I read this entire "Freda" post and some of the others. Don Geronimo is just an uptight asshole who needed something to fill the dead air of his radio show. If his wife was not dead, he never would have found this site. If she was and he did find it, he would probably give you all the props for the Sean Taylor pix. Fuck him, his show, his crew, the station, his listeners, and all the "asshats" posting on here for not "getting it." "We get jokes!" Yeah, right! Fuckers!

Don (Mike)
If you were not a public peson, the loss of Freda would be something you would have to deal with alone. As a public person, it is a different matter. However, I don't believe that people should take advantage of your situation in order to make themselves feel larger.

My sincere condolences to you. As much as we will miss Freda (my husband always enjoyed her rapid responses to you, and I always found her responses helpful in dealing with my husband), I know that nothing we can say will help you or bart or big freda in dealing with this loss. I can not even begin to imagine the pain you are dealing with. The love and understanding each of you exhibited toward each other gave all of us an example. Love is not finding the perfect person, it's learning to find the perfection in the person you love. I think the two of you manageged to do that.

Love and prayers to you and the family. To hell with the people who take advantage of the situation.

To rstidman and friends...you are lower than snail slim. You have not an ounce of decency in your whole body. And when YOUR time comes, I hope someone takes a giant crap on your grave.

And for those idiots that still dont get it...Don is doing a radio show and THAT is why he sometimes sounds like a jerk...it's part of the show. Just like Howard Stern does his best to shock his audiance (though I am no fan of Stern).
Even if Don really was a total jerk he wouldnt deserve to lose his wife.

As for Freda, she was a good and decent person. Something that rstidman will never be, and doesnt even understand the concept of.

As for Route 90, putting a guardrail down the whole stretch of that highway, instead of just part of it, would have saved countless lives by now...including Freda's.

Stick me with a fork....I'm done

What is so different about the kind of "shocking" characters that rstidman and dnm portray?

I listened to yesterday's show and started laughing my ass off when don was complaining about the lack of accountability on the interent. Aren't these the same people that bitch about the FCC? Didn't you actually have to search this site out?

He claimed to have to go to page 10 of Google's search results to find it. Yeah, this info is sure blasting the area just like the Bat Signal, I tell ya.

If he hadn't brought it up it would have been forgotten and a couple more pages back on the search results by now. But no... now all the same pathetic radio show fans are coming here again to post and bring MORE attention to his address. Next people may be tempted to post addresses for the rest of the people on the show... just a stupid cycle that wastes everyone's time and energy.

I understand Don's position, but by bringing attention to it he's basically telling his fans to go look for it. That doesn't sound like someone too concerned for his privacy.

Personally, I think this issue simply serves as an anger outlet for Don. I suppose there are worse anger outlets, but this one is a little self-defeating.

THANK YOU A-FAN Good work. You made my day by your posting of the address. What the hell is a bench technician? Tightens the bolts on the benches at Metro? Hmmmm. I hope he (RStinkman)gets lovely handwritten letters to his home and his poor, sick mother, (who takes care of him ) opens them up and finds skulls and crossbones.

This pisses me off, and NO! I didnt know Freda, but one knows an asset to the planet earth when one hears it, and that does hurt we normal people. I think its nice Don posted a thank you (if it was indeed him) and I'm glad too, even though we know he's wealthy, he got some life insurance proceeds-hope the ill wishers choke on that.
God Bless all the people that are making deposits into the banks of our lives and not constant withdrawals and overdraughts.

Since you are so primed on pointing out other's misspellings, you should know the proper phrasing you were looking for was "you're funny." You and Are as a conjunction is "you're."

To all,

I must say that going through these previous posts have given me much amusement. In you I have seen an array of human emotional maladies (A disease, a disorder, or an ailment. An unwholesome condition). We have individuals calling for blood (metaphorically speaking) over someone they do not know or have any personal connection with. Yet they protect them as if they were their only child. I happended to listen to the radio program that day and heard Don's plea for information. Did he call his audience to war, did I miss something? Have we been chosen to exact his revenge? I think not. Don has obtained the information and will do with it what he chooses. Don't let someone elses problem cause you to sink to the level of children. You are all better than this, I least if I am to have any hope in humanity I would pray that you are. If not, then I pity your children, I pity your families and I do not envy your life.

To those of you who so kindly posted stidmans information on this forum. How is what you did any better then what he did? Do you not realize that Don's anger was do to his personal information being given out? Do you realize that you have now lowered yourself to the level of man you deem horrible? Does that not make you horrible as well? Please, before the lynching (any yes lynching is the correct spelling) begins, I am not deffending him, and I do not agree with what he did, but I believe that those of you who did not maintain the moral high ground have no right to judge and are no better than he.

To those who think Freda's death is reason to joke.Have the guts to post your
name, address and phone number so Mike Sorce can call you and respond to your idiot remarks. If a person I did not know insults me regarding the death of a loved one, that person would be picking up their teeth off the floor. But cowards make ignorant comments behinds closed doors or hiding behind a website.
Someday you may suffer a loss, and you would not tolerate crude, and hateful comments about your family.

I know you hear it all day long, but my prayers are with you.

I do not believe this. I do not fucking believe this.
I just got home a few minutes ago, and while in the car, had to listen to Don read some of that shit that's been posted here. Don, -if you're seeing this, I want you to know that hearing that stuff ripped my heart out. I know that there's nothing I can say to help to heal the wounds I would, however try to provide some emotional orientation and perspective to this nonsense. It's this: there are monsters in the world. There is Evil in the world. It's just that simple.
I'm not a very religious person, but after having had my soul savaged by a true sociopath earlier this year, I can now say without reservation that some people are just plain Evil, -and I do mean the capitol E thing. They're not crass, insensetive, sick or even crazy. These people are simply bad. That's all there is to it. Please stop beating yourself up over trying to figure this sort of thing out, what motivates them, -in short some kind of reason for why they do what they do, because there is none.
I had to accept this, and it makes looking back on what happened easier. In closing, -and I know it's an awful thing to say, but it's this sort of business that makes me hope there is a hell, so that there's a place for these people to go. Take care, Don. Love, -Dianne.

P.S. Cary, I wanted to barf all over your stupid little condescending message on the home page. Bite me.

If you are so upset about Freda, why don't you take all of the awful posts off of your website? Some of these people that frequent your site are really sick, and NO ONE should have to be subjected to the adolescent mindlessness that they are speaking. Your site invites a variety of people... you should disclude the immature, cruel, and nasty people. Don lost his best friend, and the love of his life. Can you imagine that? I can't imagine losing my love. You need to be respectful of that, or the next thing you know you are going to die a lonely lonely person. Just because you haven't experienced love doesn't mean that you can't respect it. Your site crashed today because Don said the name on air, and rightfully so. A man's wife has died. He is devestated. If you can't respect that and leave it alone then you are inhuman. I hope that you never find true love. You obviously don't deserve it.

Listened to the show today and heard Don "railing" about this website, I agree that some views are cruel and heartless, i'm pretty sure it's done just for the "Shock value" such as it is...Don I take it avoids this, can't say I blame him, but the show that ran a while back when Don ran over his dog and Frieda's reaction to the whole incident cemented my belief she had a great heart and I feel for Don and Bart. Loosing a dog is tantamount to loosing a child in some views. Frieda, scratch Rudy behind the ears, I'm sure he'll love it!

Hey, Cary,

I couldn't help but notice that you deleted an entire thread on this board in regards to the backlash generated by the black shit that was said about Don and Freda. As I recall, (and also saved) you claimed to be a first-amendment advocate in your cute little home page text.
ie: "Don: I work in Fairfax City not even a mile away from WJFK. I'd be more than willing to come in and give you a nice lesson on the first amendment."
So, where's your first-amendment passion, now? Huh?
I'd love to hear you come into the WJFK studio and go on air talking about all this. Really.

Don and Mike are true entertainers and they have proved that with the fact that their show has become so much better after the FCC crack down. They dont need a potty mouth to have a great show.

I may be a stranger to Don, however, I feel like he is a member of my family. While it is only a 10 min. drive to get home from work every day, I have chosen to take a longer route home. for the last 4 years I choose to drive the back roads, rather than the expressway, to get home every day. To me its like spending quality time with family members. The extended drive home gives me 20 min of relaxing time with a great group of people,

Over the years Don has opened up his personal life to us all, and I have always enjoyed him sharing it wih us. I cannot imagine the pain he is going through right now, yet he still able entertain us each day.

I don't consider myself as an overly religious person. I make my infrequent apperance to church, only 3 or 4 times a year, however I say prayers for Don hoping for his pain to be eased.

Thank you Don for always making my life cheerful every day.

Being a D&M listener, I would be lying if I said that I wasn't saddened by Freda's death. Not because I felt like I knew her or Don or Bart or their familiy but because it was just another reminder of how unpredictable life is and how that kind of thing can be just around the corner for any one of us. It would also be untrue if I said that I wasn't pissed off after hearing about this website on yesterday's show. I suppose I came to this site this morning to post some sort of objection but after spending the last 2 hours reading all of these posts, I have come to the conclusion that Don is right about one thing: the majority of their listeners really are idiots. It would seem that as soon as it was known that Don was reading posts here, people were falling over each other trying to post something that he might read and mention on the show. If you, the D&M listener, really care that much then call the fucking show! Of course you will not because you are afraid big, bad Don will call you a name or belittle you in some fashion. And really, how exactly is the whole planet going to be affected by Freda's passing? What about the hundreds of thousands of other people around the world that die every day? I despise the attempts of people to press their morals and beliefs on others. Didn't our forefathers come here to escape that sort of shit in the first place? So please, D&M listners, do everyone a favor and shut the fuck up. Leave these people and their website alone and go back to telling your friends and co-workers what to do and how to do it. I apologize for perpetuating the bullshit. Hopefully Cary, Stidman, PaperPusher and the rest of the regulars will be able to get back to enjoying their website soon.

What is left up and what is taken down is up to Cary, not multiple people. If you came into my house and asked me to take a picture off of my wall that you thought was offensive, you can bet I would tell you to go fuck yourself and you would then be left with the choice of either leaving my house or sitting there staring at the offensive picture. The same goes here. If you don't like it, leave so you don't have to look at it. As for the forefathers business, did they not journey to this land to be able to live their lives their own way instead of living as others thought they should? I'm pretty sure that is taught in elementary school history.

JTFC - you still don't get it. Re-read my post.

Using your analogy:

1) you said that you had an obscene picture in your house, and that if anybody who was in your house was offended by it that you would take it down.

2) People told you that they were offended, including a person with personal ties to said picture.

3) You refuse to take it down.

Don't they teach honor and responsibility and "keeping your word" in elementary school?

A better analogy would be if you had a picture somebody you dont give 2 shits about finds offensive. If this picture is by a window and visible from the street by somebody walking by and he comes up to you and asks you to take it down, you can tell him to just keep walking and not look at the picture. Don and his fans can simply not read the offensive posts here and not be hurt.

It doesn't matter if he went back on his word or not. It's still his house and if you don't like it, you can get the fuck out.

To not Cary: I understand perfectly what you are saying. What YOU don't seem to get is that he is not obligated to do what you or anyone else want him to. Whether you think it is right or wrong, fair or unfair, inappropriate, disgusting, hateful or whatever. You have no business even TRYING to tell him what he can and cannot do with his own website. Unless, of course, you are helping to support this site financially. Then he might consider your requests. You have to face the fact that not everyone shares your ideas of honor and responsibility and that trying to MAKE others accept your opinion as their own is an exercise in futility.

Those of you that think it's your God given right to dispense judgement on Don Geronimo because his radio persona is a "shock jock" are delusional. It's not up to you to hand out justice against a person that doesn't even exist. Mike Sorce portrays a character called Don Geronimo.

I must say though, thanks for showing the rest of the world how much of a meat sack you really are. I don't care if "Don" reads my post or not, I am not trying to get his attention. Cary made a promise and he broke it. Are you people really going to defend someone that welches on his word?

Hell, my friend who was a detective for a Police Department in Northern California just got killed the other day in the line of duty and the only way people would talk about him is if I got my own radio show and got on the air and whined about it all day long. You people didn't even know her. I didn't know her but she seemed like a nagging, whining, annoying bitch. Even Don said that what you stupid people heard on the air was nothing like the way she really was. Maybe she was a dope using junkie whose job was hooking on the street for her next fix. So you decide to degrade your friend's memory by directing venom towards Freda and then expressing love for your friend in the same message. ASSHAT. Too bad your friend didn't know how shallow you were before he passed. Lots of people do thankless jobs everyday and it is tragic when someone dies - they leave "friends" and family behind that miss them terribly. But I guess the fact that your friend served the public for reasons other than wanting recognition is too lofty of an idea for the likes of you. There is always someone on the outside looking in. The grass is greener on the other side. Life is a bowl of cherries and all I got are pits. WAAAAAAH WAAAAAAH WWWWAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH.

Hey "Mean People Suck": You totally missed my point you dumb son of a bitch. The fact that my friend served the public is not the point. The point is he was a person just like Freda. Why should Freda be treated like a celebrity because her stupid husband is a big time "DJ" (just above circus clown). The fact is they are both JUST people and should be treated the same. Mourn their death, cry if you must, and then MOVE the hell on. She may have been the big CEO of some company or maybe she really was a street whore, but that doesn't make a difference. Who cares what they did if they are dead.

Oh yeah, Don, if you are reading this, and we know you do read this, I may not agree with everything that "rstidman" said in his post but the fact is this is still the United States of America. Read the first amendment. Freedom of Press, Assembly, Religion, Petition, and SPEECH. This applies to everyone, not just who you want it to apply to. You have always preached about the freedom of Speech on your show so be a man and deal with it. And if you want to "come after me" for posting this like you have threatend on your show, bring it on baby. You having a big shot lawyer or lawyers doesn't scare me. I have a lawyer as well. If you really want to be a man and debate this on the air with me, let me know. If I hear you talk about this on your show tomorrow I will call you and we can discuss this like men. You don't scare me, Doni. Bring it on.

Why would you even want to fight Don on the air? Their show isn't Meet the Press. Your friend didn't make the news here, Freda did. It is a shame that your friend was killed. Someone sick ass decided to take his life and it hurts those that loved him. If Don lived in a shack in West Virginia and didn't know more than 35 people would that make his grief legitimate? The fact that a few thousand people are aware of Freda shouldn't be a mark against the people that are saddened to hear she died. There are no winners in this game - I deserve to grieve more than you. I don't know you (really don't want to) but I can empathise with your loss. Humans do that.

However, if mentioning the site on-air was helpful for Don's coping with everything, good for him. Now it's best to just move on and not give any further recognition to this filth. I'm sure the 'tards will continue to suffer in their already pathetic lives.

First of all, if you think you can kick my ass, I would invite you to meet me in person. I am not trying to hide behind my computer. Secondly, if you care to discuss this further, please e-mail me so we can set up a chat or something and discuss this like men (or whatever you may be). You guys can say what you want, call me every name in the book, but deep down you know I am right.

Why should we respect other human beings? :)

Can we revert back to talking about titties again? I found that much more entertaining. Not Freda's! For GOD'S sake, NOT FREDA's. Goes without saying but NOT DON'S TITTIES EITHER!!

I think it is very sad that someone would go to such a level to belittle a person that they do not even know. Whether it be on the internet, radio or elsewhere. The point here is YOU have no idea what it is to mourn for someone you love daerly. YOU have no idea what it means to wake up next to the love of your life for many, many years and then have that gone in an instant. YOU have no idea what it is like to have people laugh and have fun with the death of someone you care a great deal about. Yes, you have the freedom of speech. Yes, this country fights for these freedoms. I am sorry YOU feel you must make others hurt with your words rather than make a positive difference. Freda Sorce made the world a better place for thousands of people. Look at your daughter, your son, your wife, your mother... dead with everyone telling YOU they are better off. I would hope you could do a good job of laughing it off... because it is funny, right?

Thank you, H, for saying this so well. I have just been sickened by reading some of these posts about freda. I would like to know how much for charity these posters have done in their life time? I remember freda was one of the main organizers to the Walk for the Cure and how much time she spent for battered women. I also know she was a heavy contributer to Clemson and to animal shelters. I have nothing but admiration for her and I am not talking about her calls to the Don and Mike Show. I think what people do for others less fortunate is a pretty good mark of how one's life is spent. And bashing someone's dead wife and mother does not count as a good deed.

I'm the sister of Rstidman. Thank you to the jerk who posted our information. It might be public record, and what my brother did may not have been the most brilliant thing on earth because he opened a can of worms, it still wasn't cool of you to find his information and post it on this site. Don is more liable as a local celeb to have his info posted somewhere; anyone could have done it. But thanks to you and others who think it was a great idea to post my brother's current and previous addresses is completely uncalled for. You may have opened me and my family up to new dangers, and for those of you who think I'm overreacting, I'm not. I hope someone out three has the sense to delete those posts that have information, and Rob, why did you pick a name with our last name in it?

So now people are threatening to kick each other's asses over this. Well let me tell you big bunch of sphincters that I can kick all your asses, without even working up a sweat. And I'm such a man about it, I'll even post where I live, so any of you who feel the need can come get the crap kicked out of you.

I used to live in Fairfax but I had to move because of my job. My address is 1060 West Addison in Chicago.

It's easy to hide behind an internet chat board, but let's get out where people can see you and we'll see who the gutless wonder really is, you big wastes of skin.

That's funny... I thought 1060 West Addison was the address for Wrigley Field... Does Dusty Baker know about this?

Do you happen to have a Summer home at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave too?

Cary, Thanks for the picture of Freda. I have been looking for one. She and Mike (Don) taught me how to aruge with my husband and kiss him when he came through the door.I have felt that due to them, in part why I have a great marriage. It is now Setp. 15th and I feel that a close friend has gone and I still and not get over it. She was a speacial person, mother, wife and surely a great friend.

Freda died? I really could not belive it at first. Still I listened every day, hearing the pain in the shows without Don as they struggled along doing the best as they could when their world was truly upside down. I belive alot of people like me went home and hugged their wifes that day, thankfull that we could. Yes Freda even in passing, still inspired passion and love in our everyday lives. The day Don returned to the airwaves as simply Mike Source for a day was most unselfish, bravest things I have ever seen a man do. He never had to share those innermost personal feelings with us, the shows fans. But shared he did and to some of us he truly made us feel not like fans, but family. God bless you Mike and Bart, you are welcome in my home anytime, not as a radio personality but as family.

I live in Toronto - I listened to Don and Mike on a Buffalo station that opted to go to "Jack". Yes the same "Jack" that D and M used to make so much fun of. One day I turned the knob to listen to my guys on the way home from work and without so much of a word of warning they were gone. That was last spring.
I have missed them terribly but didn't think of looking them on on the web until just tonight.

What a Fuck of a shock is all I can say. The tears started without warning. At first I thought it was some kind of joke. How could Freda have passed when and I didn't know about it.

I miss you D and M and I will miss Freda - strange to say that since I haven't hear you or her for a while but the realization that things happen even when we aren't around to find out about them is humbling.

Although belated I will say a prayer.

my radio was stolen out of my car in late may and i haven't replaced it. so, i very rarely get to listen to don and mike anymore. driving another car, recently, i heard don referred to as a widower and came to the internet to find out what happened. it's amazing. just unbelievable. what a vibrant life, gone... even though i am finding out late, the pain will remain with don (michael) and bart for a long, long time. what a tremendous loss.
