One of our late partners just loved that game and we always had it, so we all went religiously for years. Since she passed, the wife and I have gladly off-loaded that game every year. The West Falls Boulevard project in Fairfax on WMATA land and the VT/Rushmark deal are independent of the West Falls project under construction right now in the City of Falls Church. Perhaps the move by Falls Church and VT to sell the property might get the gears running in the minds of the folks in Fairfax. So far, they've been behind the curve though, so I wouldn't hold my breath. After all, these are the same folks who vowed to never pay for the water system infrastructure and ended up doing just that. In fact, according to them, they paid twice! What suckers!

Well, the fools can only continue to froth and foam at the mouth in their frenzied yet futile attempts at reaching relevancy while those of us who can read the morning paper have again been doing just that while also enjoying some freshly-brewed single-estate Kona. These last patches of Ian have finally moved on, and from a start at 55 degrees when I got up, we should reach the mid 70s by mid afternoon under partly cloudy skies with low humidity and light winds from the NW. Should make for a pretty and pretty comfortable day today. We’ve got our beautiful little toyger kitty going in for a full dental today. The other female was in about ten days ago and came through fine, but it’s always a little nerve-racking until you can pick them up again.

The last two are compounded by Rocket Scientists who belong on the bus rather than behind the wheel, especially on a holiday. Your game is ruined even before you get there, IF you get there at all.
I do not like the early start, either. I once read the reason for it, but I forget what it is, now. The opponent for 2023 is Cincinnati. Girlfriend is not big on seeing them. Cincinnati is just another opponent to her. I have a mild interest in seeing them, as I prefer to see the older National League teams. Despite that, it is likely that we will get one of the other dates for Cincinnati in our plan.
The Teddy Plan is usually heavy on division opponents, which girlfriend likes. That may change, given the new schedule format for 2023. Well, weakness is certainly nothing new or unusual for these assorted lame-ass Whiffle types. Jammed up over the simplest of details and timelines about the West Falls project, the clowns can only choke as well over the specifics of artisanal goodies that the wife and I have travelled to procure for years and years now. Used to be available in NWDC, but with the coming of COVID, operations moved to SWDC. Doesn’t make much difference from the Sweet Spot. Pretty much have to park illegally either way, but with a two-man crew, it all works out just fine. The wife scampers in to grab up the goodies, while I sit idling behind the wheel of the get-away car. You’ll never catch us, coppers!
What has been caught though is yet another fine morning out our way. Sunny but just 46 degrees when I got up, but we should hit at least the low 60s by late afternoon. Humidity is fine, there’s all but no chance of rain, and the winds are light and from the south. Easy to deal with that sort of thing.
Real President Joe is of course disgusted by pipsqueak Putin’s latest assault directly on civilians. He’s eventually going to be tried for war crimes, and it can’t come soon enough. The law of course needs to get its hands on Ding Dong as well. There is quite a number on his tail, so good luck to all of those.
In other news, the Rays, Jays, and Cards are already bounced from Bozo Bobby’s post-season fun house, with either the Mets or Padres set to exit next. The whole scheme needs to be scrapped and rebuilt from the ground up by people with a clue.
No point of course in looking for any of those anywhere within the confused confines of Falls Church City. All that’s to be found there are miserable lunks and losers who can’t so much as grasp the local papers. Such a sorry show.
