So with all these Vienna streets impacted by awful milling and paving (that the clueless lying dopes of the world completely failed to notice), we made our way back out to the Sweet Spot after yesterday’s medical appointment and settled in to watch the Nats wrap up their series with the Dodgers. They played well and came away with a 2-0 win behind Jake Irvin. Perhaps surprising, but not as improbable as the 2019 World Series win that the club will be celebrating at home this weekend against HOU. COVID cheated us out of a 2020 victory lap and let the Astros off the hook for sign-stealing scandals, but I’m wearing my Howie Kendrick CLANG! t-shirt today, so the memories still burn brightly among the faithful.

Yeah, my pulmonologist had free samples of Trelegy back when it first came out and she encouraged me to try it and see. YMMV, but for me, it did nothing at all. Still have and carry an albuterol rescue inhaler of course, but I rarely need to use it

And speaking of the Sweet Spot, it’s cloudy, a bit breezy, and 60 degrees out here at the moment. Spring flowers are coming on strong now as we head into one of the more beautiful times of the year. You do get a taste of that closer in, but those six miles do make a difference. The Nats are back in town today, but our next game is tomorrow. Wondering if the menu crescendo from two weeks back will be continuing into the new homestand. Certainly hope so, but we know that GAR places (and Pazzo) will be there waiting after the game if things somehow don’t work out.

As you’ve been informed repeatedly, the wife and I bought the McHenry home in 1978 and lived there into 2014. We did multiple major renovations along the way, but shifted those efforts out to our Sweet Spot home (also purchased in 1978) after deciding in 2004-ish that we would simply retire in place. This has worked out great.

Meanwhile, we have OWNED the McHenry property since 1978, but with both kids and jobs out of the picture in 2014, we moved out to the Sweet Spot country retirement home we had also purchased in 1978. That’s the one that hit an assessment of $1.8M. Still there in fact.
