You may actually be that dumb. The Subaru was photographed on and advertised from property in Vienna made available to us by its owners for those purposes. The wife and I have lived in Falls Church City and in McLean, but we have never lived in Vienna.

Assessments include more than land. And the people who own that Vienna property are friends of ours, as should have been obvious from their willingness to make their driveway available to us. The Subaru is gone now though, firmly ensconced in its new out-of-state home.

Another step by you into a pile of dog pooh. The guest room bath was new when we moved in. A few years after that, we split the existing 4th bedroom into the laundry room and the master bath. Skylight, exhaust, heat lamps, custom tile, tons of storage, all cherry cabinets and trim. Then we redid what had become the kids’ bath. No skylights or sunlamp there, but everything else, with all the wood being hickory. I’d come across a trove of it in a lumber yard in Springfield and bought it on the spot.

You’re stupid, of course, but you do at least have a good deal of company here in that. As for ‘tiny’, the house itself is some 3200 sqft — 4/3, large kitchen, LR, DR, two sun rooms. home office with skylights and wet bar, front porch, back porch, large patio, and of course a high-end carport/porte-cochere. Also a basement utility space and woodworking shop. There are lots of handmade hardwood cabinets, shelves, and built-ins of maple, hickory, and cherry. All very nice.

LOL! As the computer is set up here, I am sitting at the desk in my office under the skylights and adjacent to the wet bar. You don't have either of those things in your sorry excuse for an abode, and can barely imagine how grand the ones that I have are. An actual pot to piss in is your life's as yet unrealized ambition.

Poor stumbling little Alphabet-boi. The roof and 25-year old skylights were replaced in 2012. 40-year warranty on that, so we're not really expecting problems for a while yet. Cost was $22K and every penny pf that is still officially outstanding on the equity line. Last phase of window upgrades was in 2004. Top of the line, triple-glazed, argon-filled units that have looked and performed beautifully since Day-1. Eight casements and an imposing 60-inch picture window needing to have its framing replaced as well. $6K at the time, but actually paid off soon after. Current carport didn't exist until 2005 as part of a much larger $135K remodeling. That one is paid off as well.

And you are too much of an emotional cripple to be able to accept the fact of a wealthy person's having not only a primary residence, but a townhome in SEDC that also put your own to shame.

Meanwhile, it is indeed Tax Day out here in the grand and glorious Sweet Spot, but few if any of the locals have any degree of worry or issue over it. Most of course long ago handed off tax matters to a paid professional of some sort, but being a financial professional myself, I have continued to study and prepare these forms right here in my beautiful home office. The one with the wet bar and twin skylights. And indeed all materials related to this year's April 15 were spirited off on their way to Kansas City on April 14 (that was yesterday) when lines at the Post Office were shorter than those at the covenience store when picking up a half-gallon of milk. Always good to tuen that paericuler page of course. Next stop October when a complete set of forms will be submitted.
