Hmmm. More examples of the damage that toxic levels of ignorance, envy, and butthurt can produce. The ‘photos’ this time fail to show the 15-foot embankment along McHenry. It is owned by the County and maintained by the state. The actual rain-garden btw can be found adjacent to the (cypress) shed on the opposite side of the yard from Fardale. The PVC drain line was installed in the past year to restore function to a collapsed clay tile line originally installed by the pre-1978 owners. The decrepit mailboxes are meanwhile not ours nor qare they on our property. One of the houses formerly served by them no longer exists. Sort of like functional cells in your tiny brain.

So once again a beautiful morning out here in the bucolic expanses of the Sweet Spot. We and our cars are enjoying sunny skies and 63 degrees right now, but we should see the mid 70s before too long. Nice! The cats of course don’t go outside, but they do sit in the sunny windows and watch the birds and other wildlife as they go about their days. The wife and I spent much of the weekend on taxes. 4868 for the feds, but we should be able to finish off the state by the first of the month. Baseball won’t actually be back until Saturday, so maybe we could get them done by then. Been both hot and cold for the Nats of late. Crushing loss to SD on Sunday, but then a stirring victory over LA last night in Mitchell Parker’s MLB debut. Good for him.

Well, the wife’s new-to-her Honda Pilot is looking very smart sparkling away in the morning sun out there on the gravel driveway — which itself now has an updated drainage channel cutting across it just where it meets the upscale carport.
