As for ‘tiny’, the house itself is some 3200 sqft — 4/3, large kitchen, LR, DR, two sun rooms. home office with skylights and wet bar, front porch, back porch, large patio, and of course a high-end carport/porte-cochere. Well, it’s another simply beautiful morning out here in the Sweet Spot where all of our cars are miraculously still parked after a reported night of gallivanting. I’m sure they’re none the worse for.wear. Interesting though that some here have nothing better to do at any hour of the day than to try to spy on us. Ignorance, envy, and butthurt are powerful things, I suppose. In any case, one of the Sweet Spot vehicles will be selected later on for the 20-mile trek back to the ballpark to catch the game against PHI. Last night’s episode was no contest at all, as the Nats just couldn’t handle Aaron Nola. Ranger Suarez is no joke either, so it'll Be another tough go tonight for the home side. One more here tomorrow, and then the club will head out for an extended West Coast adventure. None of those games will be easy either. What should be easy is ordering more upscale groceries which is what’s next on my to-do list.

While the little people struggle to maintain any sort of sanity at all, it’s sunny and pushing 60 degrees here in the Sweet Spot this morning. Yesterday may have been the last chilly Nats game of the year. We’ll likely get beat up by PHI once again today, and then it’s off to the West Coast and a two-week road trip. Gotta wonder now what new menu items will show up at Nats Park when they return. Food service has been on a roll in The Club and The Red Porch here lately. Like to see that continue. Like to see the caliber of play improve too, but that will likely take a good deal of time.

We had planned to try the Yellow Diner, but at the last minute (Monday morning) they went from being open seven days to being closed on Mon and Tue. Not good. So we hastened off instead to the usual warm welcome at Pazzo Pomodoro, and the usual delicious food. In a somewhat unusual move, I skipped the seafood and pasta dishes and had veal stuffed with prosciutto, fontina, and wild mushrooms in a lovely Marsala sauce. It was just what I had hoped for, and there is still a little of it left in the fridge.
