We were just doing our weekly grocery shopping for the firehouse.

We're heroes, you don't really think we're going to look for parking spaces and then walk all the way into the store like a bunch of peons, do you?

Those trucks won't fit in parking spaces and they are technically "standing" not "parked".

I was listening to the scanner last night. Someone passed out inside. There was also a small vehicle fire in parking lot earlier in the evening.

Well, if it were cops cars, I wouldn't be surprised that they were picking up toilet paper and milk. I've never seen rescue personnel abuse the public in that way.

Cops, on the other hand, are another story. I have taken on the task of citizen parking equalizer and here are a few of my discoveries and actions: working in uniform as security at Best Buy in Springfield, with vehicle parked IN THE HANDICAPPED PARKING (called district station and reported his sorry rear end); working security at Kingstowne Cinemas (three cop cars parked in fire lane and cops inside working as private security) (called district station, reported their sorry rear ends and then laughed as I watched chubster cop hustling out to move his vehicle); taking a coffee break at Starbucks on Frontier Drive in Springfield parked directly in front of a "no parking" sign at the rear exit to the nearby elementary school (called district station and reported his lazy broken rear end too).

Now, some of you may be asking yourselves, why pick on officers of the loo?

Because there are, in fact, enough pricks in the bunch that it spoils their capacity for good relations in the community.
