The NRA is being forced to admit links with russian oligarchs!

We all know the nra was laundering money for the russians. The nra pumped 30.3 M into the trump's 2016 campaign.
Did the nra's russian masters order them to spend all that money trump's campaign?

How is all this russian money being laundered by the nra? Via Pute-pute's friend Torshin.

Alexander Torshin, a buddy of Pute-pute & the nra served in the russian parliament from 2001 to 2015. Torshin was involved in the Beslan school siege in 2004 that killed several hundred children.
Nice to see the NRA cuddling with only the best people! Seems the nra and Torshin have the killing of innocent children in common.

Attached is a pic of Torshin and NRA board member and former president David Keene. Smiles Everyone....

Finally, we find out sanctioned russians include Steele Dossier figure and banker linked to NRA- Torshin

What did the russians & the NRA get for all that money? I think we all know the answer to that question....

The Steele Dossier that was initiated & paid for by republicans can be found at Buzzfeed: https://www.buzzfeed.com/kenbensinger/these-reports-allege-trump-has-deep-ties-to-russia?utm_term=.hyQepQN5z#.evYRYqdWx

Incredible how much of the Steele Dossier is TRUE!

I urge all of you to support the fight against this cancer, this evil in our society. And for the politicians and proprietors who continue to shill for the death merchants who profit from this madness and never even look at the blood on their hands, you will get no quarter from me ever again.

First, inanimate objects don't have or express emotions, so they cannot be sad.

Second, they do not and are incapable of possessing any rights.

I'm certain no one at the NRA would have an issue with guns be regulated...

Given all the money laundering for the russians

The NRA said in a letter to Sen. Ron Wyden, D-Ore., unveiled on Wednesday, that the sum it received from those people was just over $2,500 and most of that was "routine payments" for membership dues or magazine subscriptions.

About $525 of that figure was from "two individuals who made contributions to the NRA."

Wyden has been querying the NRA about its Russia connections following press reports that suggest the FBI is investigating whether Russians might have tried to use the NRA or other political organizations as part of their attack on the 2016 election.

One high-profile Russian NRA supporter, state bank official Alexander Torshin, has cultivated a years-long relationship with the organization — but he was placed under sanction by the United States with other Russians last week.

The NRA acknowledged that Torshin, a Kremlin-linked politician, is a life member of the NRA, and has been since 2012. "He has paid membership dues, but has not made any contributions," NRA general counsel John Frazer wrote to Wyden.

^^^ Nice try with the deflect, deflect & redirect. How about the dark money...

Why are you avoiding my questions?
Do you work for the NRA?
How many NRA entities take money from foreign entities?

Just answer the questions... the NRA is among the largest "dark money" organizations, reporting the greatest amount of campaign spending without revealing the source of the funds — over $35 million in the 2016 election cycle alone.

You admit that you work for the NRA and that you are deflecting from the NRA's russian dark money laundering operation.

At a federal level, do you support prohibiting felons, those dishonorably discharged, domestic abusers, those adjudicated mentally defective, fugitives, illegal aliens, drug users, and those who have restraining orders issued against them from purchasing or driving vehicles? Do you also support prohibiting vehicles on school property or within 1000 feet of school property? Do you want to prohibit people from purchasing vehicles across state lines, ie. you can't but a vehicle in MD if you are a resident of VA? Should those under the age of 18 be prohibited from driving sedans and those under 21 be prohibited from driving sports cars?

Keeping in mind that automobiles are registered at a state level, do you support state legislation that would limit how fast a vehicle could go? Do you support state legislation that would limit certain cosmetic features of a vehicle?

NRA says it got $2,500 from Russians in 2016 election cycle. Then it cuts off dialogue with a senator... wonder why

Must be the nra's laundering of russian dark money....

The nra, attempting to rebuff a senior Democratic senator’s questions about whether it received illicit funding from a Kremlin figure to help Donald Trump’s presidential campaign, said this week that it received a total of $2,513 in donations and membership dues from 23 people with Russian ties since 2015 and ensured none of the money went for political purposes.

However, the group’s top lawyer wrote Sen. Ron Wyden that it is “currently reviewing (its) responsibilities” with respect to a top Russian banking official, Alexander Torshin, a lifetime NRA member who sources have described as a focus of an FBI investigation into possible channeling of Russian money to the NRA. Torshin was among a group of Russian oligarchs and government officials hit with U.S. sanctions last week.

NRA General Counsel John Frazer, in the latest of three responses in recent weeks to Wyden’s demands for information from the group, also advised Wyden that he wouldn’t respond to further questions from the Oregon Democrat, a member of the Senate Intelligence Committee.

Why is the NRA not cooperating?
What are they hiding?
Any sane person, cannot believe a word from the NRA

Sanctioned Russians include Steele dossier figure and banker linked to NRA- Torshin

That's "well regulated." As in properly functioning. Not regulated by a Federal government agency and dumbshit.

The phrase "well-regulated" was in common use long before 1789, and remained so for a century thereafter. It referred to the property of something being in proper working order. Something that was well-regulated was calibrated correctly, functioning as expected. Establishing government oversight of the people's arms was not only not the intent in using the phrase in the 2nd amendment, it was precisely to render the government powerless to do so that the founders wrote it.

Ron Wyden that it is “currently reviewing (its) responsibilities” with respect to a top Russian banking official, Torshin, a lifetime NRA member who sources have described as a focus of an FBI investigation into possible channeling of russian money to the nra.

False. The Free Beacon retained Fusion to do research regarding various Republican candidates. That relationship ended prior to Fusion working with Steele and the stupid dossier.

Fusion GPS and the Washington Free Beacon

BY: Matthew Continetti and Michael Goldfarb

Since its launch in February of 2012, the Washington Free Beacon has retained third party firms to conduct research on many individuals and institutions of interest to us and our readers. In that capacity, during the 2016 election cycle we retained Fusion GPS to provide research on multiple candidates in the Republican presidential primary, just as we retained other firms to assist in our research into Hillary Clinton. All of the work that Fusion GPS provided to the Free Beacon was based on public sources, and none of the work product that the Free Beacon received appears in the Steele dossier. The Free Beacon had no knowledge of or connection to the Steele dossier, did not pay for the dossier, and never had contact with, knowledge of, or provided payment for any work performed by Christopher Steele. Nor did we have any knowledge of the relationship between Fusion GPS and the Democratic National Committee, Perkins Coie, and the Clinton campaign.

Representatives of the Free Beacon approached the House Intelligence Committee today and offered to answer what questions we can in their ongoing probe of Fusion GPS and the Steele dossier. But to be clear: We stand by our reporting, and we do not apologize for our methods. We consider it our duty to report verifiable information, not falsehoods or slander, and we believe that commitment has been well demonstrated by the quality of the journalism that we produce. The First Amendment guarantees our right to engage in news-gathering as we see fit, and we intend to continue doing just that as we have since the day we launched this project.

The exact cause of schizophrenia isn't known, but a combination of genetics, environment, and altered brain chemistry and structure may play a role.

Schizophrenia is characterized by thoughts or experiences that seem out of touch with reality, disorganized speech or behavior, and decreased participation in daily activities. Difficulty with concentration and memory may also be present.

Bonus bitch slap:

Did the NRA Ban Guns at Their Own Convention?

A popular claim about the NRA confused that organization's rules with those of the venues at which they held events.

CLAIM

The NRA banned the carrying of guns at their own national convention.

RATING

FALSE

Monday, April 30, 2018

The Associated Press issued a correction on Monday after reporting that the National Rifle Association was banning guns at its annual meeting during Vice President Mike Pence’s speech.

It was widely reported on Monday that the guns rights group would not allow members to carry guns at the NRA Leadership Conference in Dallas “prior to and during” Mr. Pence’s speech on May 4.

“Due to the attendance of the Vice President of the United States, the U.S. Secret Service will be responsible for event security at the NRA-ILA Leadership Forum,” the NRA said in a statement. “As a result, firearms and firearm accessories, knives or weapons of any kind will be prohibited in the forum prior to and during attendance.”

A fact check called reports of the gun ban “misleading.”

“In a routine decision, the Secret Service is banning guns (along with selfie sticks, backpacks, drones, and a list of other items) from Pence’s speech at the NRA convention in Dallas; just as the Secret Service did during Trump’s appearance at the NRA convention last year and the Republican National Convention the year before that,” Holmes Lybrand, the magazine’s fact-check columnist, wrote on Monday.

Firearms are permitted otherwise.

CNN)Armed bystanders gunned down a shooter Thursday at an Oklahoma City restaurant, killing him, police said.

A man opened fire with a handgun in Louie's Grill & Bar, striking three people inside the restaurant from a position outside the front door, Oklahoma City Police Capt. Bo Mathews told reporters.

As the gunman ran from the scene, two bystanders got their own handguns from the trunks of their vehicles, then confronted and fatally shot the attacker outside the restaurant, Mathews said Friday.

"They were able to shoot this suspect and put an end to this very dangerous situation," Mathews said, adding that the men -- Carlos Nazario, 35, and Bryan Wittle, 39 -- did not know each other. It's not clear who fired the fatal shot. Police initially said only one man fired on the attacker.

The bystanders' actions were "well within their legal rights" and likely would be protected by good Samaritan laws, Mathews said. He deferred a final call to the Oklahoma County district attorney, whose staff did not immediately respond to CNN's request for comment.

"These guys were protecting somebody else's life," the police captain said. "You can say they are heroes."

The NRA's School Shield Task Force was introduced in December 2012 following the school shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School with the goal of improving school security and preventing future school shootings in the U.S.

Former Congressman and Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson led a group of independent security experts — including a former director of the U.S. Secret Service and a former Homeland Security chief — who visited schools across the U.S. to develop a plan to improve school safety strategies in schools nationwide.

In April 2013, the NRA published a report with the findings of the task force's initial investigation, along with eight recommendations on best practices for school security.

Those recommendations included implementing a model training program that would teach school resources officers how to respond in crisis situations, a proposal to change state laws where necessary so that a “selected school staff member” would be allowed to carry firearms in schools, the creation of a pilot program on “threat assessment and mental health,” and tougher requirements for schools on safety measures, among others.

After the report was released, Hutchinson said that, per the plan, those staff members tasked with carrying a weapon in schools must be certified under a 40- to 60-hour training program and undergo an extensive background check. The cost, he estimated, would be around $800 to $1,000 per person.

That report became the basis for the School Shield program that exists today, according to the NRA website.

How does it work?

The current version of the School Shield program is a five-day training course that instructs members of local communities on how to assess their school's “climate, physical security, communications systems, and overall preparedness.”

According to a copy of the training program application, only designated law enforcement officials with three years of service or more are eligible to participate in the course. It is taught by certified NRA instructors who are current or former law enforcement officers.

Training topics include defining potential security threats, how to conduct a security assessment, emergency response protocols, and incident management.

The first-ever School Shield training seminar was held in Williamson County, Tennessee, in December 2015.

Cpl. Michael Johnson of the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, a participant in that first training, said it provided him with “new resources” that would help him protect the students and children in his local community.

“Attending the National School Shield training gave me a new skill which I can use to help my community protect our children,” Johnson said. “By learning how to spot vulnerabilities, I can help all stakeholders in the safety of our children do our best to protect them. The training not only reminded me of things I had previously learned, but it gave me new resources that I can employ in assessments of any school facility.”

Some have compared this program to the idea of arming teachers in schools being touted by President Donald Trump and other members of the Republican Party. The training program itself does not arm teachers or staff members; however, the School Shield study completed in 2013 does advocate for such a policy.

Schools that host the training programs for law enforcement officers in their community are invited, post-training, to apply for a grant from the NRA to fund the security improvements their officers recommend.

These grants have paid for physical school security improvements such as doors with advanced security locks and buzzers, as well as window films that prevent the glass from shattering if shot.

Sheila Brantley, the National School Shield program director, called the grants a “cornerstone” of the program.

“That is what I believe makes the National School Shield program so attractive. By providing tools and resources designed to help schools identify potential security vulnerabilities, as well as the funding to implement necessary security improvements, the program helps remove the barriers to information and/or funding that have previously slowed progress in making our schools more secure,” Brantley said.

If the majority ruled an individual right exists to possess firearms, regardless of qualifiers such as 'traditionally lawful purposes,' then, in the face of the generally-agreed-upon fact that individuals will disregard the qualifier and use firearms in the shooting of innocents, then the majority also approves the shooting of school children, since it found the individual right of possession must take priority over childrens' safety.

Another dumb, dishonest out-of-context anti-gun nut meme.

He was speaking about randomly carrying a weapon for no particular reason in the context of hearings re the NFA which was enacted to combat gangsters at the time. Which he opposed for a variety of reasons, primary among them being that then as now such criminals pay no attention to laws and it would affect mostly only law-abiding citizens who aren't the problem. In fact, the NFA (and other gun laws) wasn't actually intended to *prevent* the use of guns in crimes. It was designed to provide a basis for prosecution of gangsters and criminals *after* the fact in violating the law.

In full context...

Quote

Mr. FREDERICK. You have put your finger on it. My general objections to most of the regulatory provisions are proposed with that in view. I am just as much against the gangster as any man. I am just as much interested in seeing him suppressed, but I do not believe that we should burn down the barn in order to destroy the rats. I am in favor of some more skillful method of getting the rats without destroying the barn. In my opinion, most of the proposals the regulation of firearms, although ostensibly and properly aimed at the crook, do not reach the crook at all, but they do reach the honest. man. In my opinion, the forces which are opposed to crime consist of two general bodies; one is the organized police and the second is the unorganized victims, the great mass of unorganized law-abiding citizens, and if you destroy the effective opposition of either one of those, you are inevitably going to increase crime, because as you destroy the forces of resistance to the human body to disease, you are going to increase disease. So, by destroying the resistance of any body which is opposed to crime, you are going to increase crime. I think we should be careful in considering the actual operation of regulatory measures to make sure that they do not hamstring the law-abiding citizen in his opposition to the crook.

Mr. KNUTSON. There is no opposition on the part of the victims?

Mr. FREDERICK. It is not a 100 percent effective. Of course, the right of self-defense is still a useful thing.

Mr. KNUTSON. It is a right, but an ineffective right under the present situation.

Mr. FREDERICK. I would be interested to show you a collection which I have made of newspaper clippings indicating the effective use of firearms in self-defense, as a protection against the perpetration of crime. Because of arguments which have been advanced by those who are against the use of guns, I have made it my business to clip from newspapers passing over my desk such cases as I run across of effective self-defense with pistols, most of them pistols. I have a scrap book two thirds full and I can show you dozens and hundred of cases happening every year.

Mr. FREAR. How many in this room have pistols in their pockets for self-defense?

Mr. FREDERICK. I doubt if any have.

Mr. FREAR. I doubt, unless a man anticipates danger, that he is going to carry a pistol. You have looked after the clippings of the man who has used a revolver in self-defense. How many men carry revolvers? What percentage of men carry revolvers?

Mr. HILL. Quite a few traveling in automobiles.

Mr. FREDERICK. There are a good many.

Mr. FREAR. I am asking under present conditions

Mr. FREDERICK. I have never believed in the general practice of carrying weapons. I seldom carry one. I have when I felt it was desirable to do so for my own protection. I know that applies in most of the instances where guns are used effectively in self-defense or in places of business and in the home. I do not believe in the general promiscuous toting of guns. I think it should be sharply restricted and only under licenses.
...

Mr. FREDERICK. In our opinion, little of value can be accomplished by Federal legislation on this point.

Mr. KNUTSON. Is it your thought to submit a substitute measure for H.R. 9066 and at the same time not infringe unnecessarily on the rights of law-abiding citizens?

Mr. FREDERICK. As I say, I have grave doubts as to the effectiveness of any such legislation.

Mr. HILL. You concede there is a necessity for something. In politics we have an old saying that you cannot beat somebody with nobody. You cannot hope to defeat or materially alter the legislation unless you submit to the committee something that is better or that will better attain the object that this legislation seeks to accomplish.

Mr. FREDERICK. I must differ with you in principle upon one point. I do not believe that Congress or the people back home want us to attempt miracles. In my opinion, based upon a rather extensive experience with this subject and study of it, very little of practical value can be accomplished by Federal legislation on the point.

Mr. HILL. I take it then that it is your opinion that the criminal is going to get firearms regardless of any laws.

Mr. FREDERICK. I think that is the opinion of any person who has knowledge of the subject. In most instances, the guns are stolen. They are not gotten through legitimate channels. Dillinger stole his guns. I have a half-dozen cases where guns have been used in prisons to effect a break; we have had that in New York, and all over the country. If you cannot keep guns out of the hands of criminals in jails, I do not see how you can keep them out of the hands of criminals walking about on the public highways.

The CHAIRMAN. If that be true, then the laws of the various States of the Union dealing with the subject, are not accomplishing a good purpose because they do not put them all out of business?

Mr. FREDERICK. I do not take that view of it at all. I believe in regulatory methods. I think that makes it desirable that any such regulations imposed should not impose undue hardships on the law-abiding citizens and that they should not obstruct him in the right of self-defense, but that they should be directed exclusively, so far as possible, to suppressing the criminal use, or punishing the criminal use of weapons.
Quote

So rather than being somehow different, his view was very much consistent with positions today.

I'm butthurt? You're the moron that's littered a thread with nonsense for four pages? If you're looking for butthurt, my friend, look no further than the mirror.

You want to ask me if Russian is my first language? You were given a multiparagraph article to read which was written entirely in English. You utterly failed to comprehend what was in it. I have to ask, are you a Russian troll posting here to sow discord? After all, you're ripping a page right out of Goebbels' notebook by accusing the other side of that which you are guilty. Take your lack of English language reading comprehension and couple it with your Ruskie comment, and I have good money that says you're working on a Russian troll farm.

The NRA has millions of members.

Wow! You are not very smart.
I get it, you work for the nra making you a shill. Is Putin you boss?

Does not change the fact that the nra is laundering money for the russians.

The FBI has obtained wiretaps of a Putin ally tied to the NRA who met with Trump Jr. during the campaign

FBI investigating whether NRA used Russian money to help Trump

We all know Torshin from the Steele Dossier the republicans initiated and paid for, it can be found at Buzzfeed: https://www.buzzfeed.com/kenbensinger/these-reports-allege-trump-has-deep-ties-to-russia?utm_term=.pjje02mwvz#.eyRKOQYZAq

... This January, the House Intelligence Committee released its transcript of Mr. (Glenn) Simpson’s November testimony, in which he regaled incredulous committee Republicans with a wild new tale—of how the Russians had “infiltrated the NRA.” Fusion GPS had “spent a lot of time investigating” a “Mafia leader named Alexander Torshin” and a “suspicious” and “big Trump fan,” Maria Butina. Mr. Simpson provided zero detail to back up this claim—no names, dates, money transfers or specific actions.

But never mind. The day Mr. Simpson’s conspiracy-laden transcript was due to go public, McClatchy ran this headline: “FBI investigating whether Russian money went to NRA to help Trump.” The story cited only two unnamed “sources familiar with the matter.” The article admitted it “could not be learned” whether the FBI had any evidence involving the NRA, but it nonetheless went on at length about the group. A flurry of articles from other news organizations followed ... All still based on nothing but Mr. Simpson’s infiltration claim.

... The NRA flatly denied the accusation. ... It also reported it had had no contact with the FBI. House Intelligence Committee Democrats nonetheless last week issued a document demanding they get to continue investigating the “NRA’s relationship” with Mr. Torshin and Ms. Butina as well as ... Washington lawyer Cleta Mitchell, who hasn’t done legal work for the NRA in a decade.

A few days later, the same two McClatchy reporters ... again cited two anonymous sources claiming Congress was investigating Ms. Mitchell’s worries ... Ms. Mitchell tells me she told McClatchy before publication that this was false ... Ms. Mitchell calls it “the quintessential definition of fake news.”

I'm an Anerican who can think for himself. Not sure if you're a parrot for Soros or Russia. Thus far, you've not been able to demonstrate that you can think for yourself. You've merely parroted tired and discredited talking points and regurgitated lame memes. Is this what qualifies as trolling in the Soros or Putin world?

Are you Putin's favorite bitch? Suppose you are just like the nra, taking orders from Putin.

Do you get a cut of the money that the nra launders for the russians?

Yeah, Soros is the wing-nut boogey man... just like Steve Wyn, Mercers, Kock brothers...

So slime merchant Glenn Simpson makes up some completely unsupported bullshit at a hearing, the Dems then shovel it over to their pals in the media, who then publish reports about it, which the same Dems then later cite the same media reports in their "investigation" as evidence of the Russians colluding with the NRA.

LMAO!

More tired memes and lies. It seems you really can't think for yourself. Joseph Goebbels would be so proud of you for accusing others of that which you are guilty. You bring up Soros as the boogey man in a thread highlighting your irrational fear of the NRA. You really can't make up your level of stupidity.

How about you put the memes and canned responses down for a second and show us you can think for yourself. If you can't do that simple thing, it's probably safe for us to assume you're nothing more than a Soros or Russian troll.

Thanks to Democrats, the NRA's membership is now approaching the 6 million mark.
