Lots Of Mis-Fires of Fireworks This Year? Some type of WIFI Problem?

I've been to two big fireworks show this weekend and all have had misfires. Usually one or two before the main show and then a group of six fireworks fired off about 10 minutes after the show.

I'm wondering if this is due to some type of wifi\remote firing system not working correctly?

Do they use wireless system to set the fireworks off?

Why are places setting off fireworks so early? Why not wait till the fourth?

They set off the fireworks early so they don't conflict with the big DC 4th show.

I was able to see firework shows Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun and Mon the 4th. You just have to know what nights and where. South Riding was the best out of the local shows.

Lake Fairfax had a ton going off about 9pm. Then they started the real show around 9:15. The grande finale was off too. People couldn't tell if the show was over or still going.
