No. But the metro will experience severe problems as water is bad for the train and, oh yea, the thousands of critical electrical connections that have been ignored for forty years.

they should have done them yesterday they had all weekend

hold it off till next weekend ... probably not ... but maybe if you get your own tv station and organize it you can get that done

Fireworks delay due to inclement weather.

The Fireworks display may be cancelled/delayed if there is significant inclement weather such as driving rain, high winds, or lightning in the nearby area and low ceiling cloud cover. If the Fireworks are cancelled on the 4th due to inclement weather the rain date will be July 5th at 9:09 pm. The concerts at Sylvan Theatre and the U.S. Capitol will NOT be repeated on the rain date.

In the event of bad weather the Nat'l Park Service brings out the big movie screens, and show last years display - Live On DVD.

They save the unfired fireworks for next year event.

Visit southeast DC on any summer night and you'll see plenty of fireworks as obama's sons do their thing. Just be sure you're in a bulletproof enclosure while in our gun-free zone enjoying the fireworks!

WETA was showing pictures of the fireworks from LAST year. The cloud cover was so low you couldn't see the top of the Washington Monument. They were going back and forth from last year to this year, so it would vary from clear to cloudy. First you would see clear fireworks, then fireworks that you could barely see. Did they think we would not notice?

You know I noticed that dirty trick too. Those liberal bastards! I had a live stream of the show and it was horrible. Everything above 3/4 Monument height was obscured by low clouds.

FAIL!
