Welcome to Fairfax Underground, a project site designed to improve communication among residents of Fairfax County, VA. Feel free to post anything Northern Virginia residents would find interesting.
Golden Corral has a problem keeping popular foods available during rush, and some amount of freshness problems with a lot of foods. They have a good dessert bar. Golden Corral tends to be better in other areas for some reason. Never had a problem with the ones in texas I used to go to.
Old Country Buffet can be good or bad depending on location. Once again frshness can be a big issue.
Going to these buffets stoned helps mitigate these issues, but not everyone is willing to swing that bat.
I've heard Cici's has great pizza, never knew they had a buffet.

Win Buffet in Lincolnia/Annandale is a pretty good Chinese buffet. It's not like the greatest chinese food you've ever had, but the selection is large and I've always liked it. Overall a good value.
I never liked that Ye Olde Country Buffet place. It's sorta like comfort food that isn't very comforting.
There used to be one of these near McPherson Sq. I liked it, but if you find yourself making a trip downtown just for Sizzling Express, you need to have your head examined. There are alot more better dining options.
Yeah Cici's has a buffet. "All you can eat for only 3.99 at Cici's Pizza..except in Virginia where it's all you can eat for only 4.99 at Cici's Pizza"
Old Contry buffet..I used to go there but the're roast beef was terrible. I go to golden corral often. They had both where I used to live in Chesapeake/Norfolk VA. I liked the pizza they had at OCB. BUt GC had pizza, mac and cheese, roast beef, salad, desert, and that amazing mashed potatoes and gravy.

Hahaha, I just caught this line. Reminds me of my college days where we'd skip class, smoke bongs all morning and then hit the Wendy's "Superbar" for a gigantic 4 dollar meal. It was honestly one of the worst buffets of all time but those are some really great memories. Used to do the same thing at Ponderosa too, when we had 10 bucks to spend instead of 4.

Yeah. The Sizzlin' Express is on Washington Blvd just North of Old Town. It is in one of those new mixed-use complexes. The complex has a KinkosFedEx and a Starbucks. The Sizz Ex is on the first level across from Trader Joe's.
There's a Wok and Roll in downtown McLean, but it doesn't have a buffet. Good food though...me and my old roommate spent many a drunken night scarfing down 30 bucks worth of Wok and Roll appetizers. Never knew they had a place in Manassas, I really wish they had a buffet at this one.

Absolutely. Wok N Roll in Manassas kicks some serious ass. Huge selection. You can even get nasty-ass squid and shit if you want to go hardcore. Very good.
