Door to door people of Fairfax County

They are really annoying. Some guy giving me a flyer iniviting to his releastate house flipping seminar. Girl scouts selling cookies. Boy scouts selling mulch. The children-youth-family-urban initive looking for used clothing and money. The Jehova's Witnesses advertising their watch-tower. The Morman's selling schwin's. The fundamental baptist's selling denim. Police looking for the donut theif. Fire department starting a anti-cyber bullying foundation. The HOA checking into things. Etc

English much? Apparently you can't string more than four words in a sentence without a mistake.

But yeah, they can be annoying. If only there was some way to put up a sign saying "NO SOLICITING" or something like that. Naw, there's no way that could work.

I have one of those no solicitation signs. They disregard it anyways.

There is no way around it. You think that America's wealthiest county wouldnt have no door to door people coming by so much often.

Fox News reminds me of Gordorski, same sentence structure.

I answer the door nude. They usually go away.

The idea that someone pushing a button on your house, a button you could easily disable and replace with a number pad for expected visitors, creates an obligation in you sounds supergay.

Why are you answering the door at all for all those people? No windows where you live?

Some Jehovah's Witnesses rang my dad's doorbell once. When he answered the door, they said, "We want to talk to you about your relationship with God!"

He replied cheerfully, "Great! I want to talk to you about your sexual preferences!"

When they blanched, he said quietly, "That's no less personal..." as he closed the door. They did not come back.

I'd be tempted to be less polite on the rejoinder, instead say something like "Oh, I thought the game was 'Ask about something that's none of my fucking business'" and then tell them they had 30 seconds to get the hell off my property.

They usually use the night helicopter to catch the donut thief.

Don't answer the door.

If everybody did this they would stop.

Just so you know, most HOA's have rules against "no soliciting" signs.

PUT UP the 'no soliciting' signs. Most popular thing we ever did.

What i dont like is people think they can do annoying knocking patterns on my door. One knock is fine. If I dont answer it is because I am not home or pretending to not be home. You dont have to pretend like your the police getting ready to bang down the door if i dont open. Two knocs every 25 seconds seems reasonable. After 1 minute of no answer people should leave.

No soliciting signs may keep away a few people, but they have no legal authority.

You need a no trespassing sign. And not just the one from the fucking CVS. Spend $30 and get a metal one made, citing VA code etc... Anyone walking by the sign and knocking your door can then legally be charged with trespassing.

I don't want anyone on my porch unless it's the UPS/FEDEX/USPS dude. How many of these fuckers are secondarily scoping my place for a burglary later in the month? They ring the bell and see what happens. Dog? Old lady? Peek through the windows and check it out... "oh I'm just selling siding". Right.

If capitalism comes a knockin at your door, don't answer it

For democracy's the way
To live each and every day
So if capitalism comes just say you're not at home.

Put some rubber snakes near your front door. Many people will just walk away.

More likely it is the foreclosure notice affixed to your door.
