Vienna sure does get a lot of traffic.

This is exactly the sort of pointlessly childish response that would be expected from a student at the Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School.

Simply put here, there is nothing in Falls Church City for anyone to be jealous of. Housing is overpriced, yards are tiny, and quality shopping and dining spots are virtually non-existent. All the bucolic charm of Ballston, but with none of the amenities. It's just one tiny little Loserville.

Sadly, it isn't that he WANTS to live there. He's secretly as disgusted with the place as everyone else. This is why he extols "downtown" restaurants while dissing all the top-rated suburban options, none of which of course are in the City of Falls Church. LOL! What a dreary little dorf!

No problem. If you encounter rush-hour delays through Vienna in the morning, simply go to work in the afternoon or evening instead. This is what "Side Street Driver" does. He's a google-map moron of course.

That's what I have to do living there. I can't go anywhere other than at night and during a few brief windows when traffic dies down to a reasonable levels. Wherever you need to go add 30 minutes to get anywhere and back.

Well, cut the fanboi a bit of slack. He just learned a new term (jelly), and by golly he's going to use the heck out of it. :-) He's always a few years behind the rest of society. For example, back in the day when he first came to FFU and saw people posting pictures, it literally took him 2 years to figure out how. Then once he cracked the mystery, he started attaching a picture to every post thinking that he was impressing people. LOL.

What a worthless douche! Actual people who live in Vienna have few problems with local traffic at all. They know how to get out of town quickly and easily in the morning and how to get back in again at night. The people who have problems are the people who are SUPPOSED to have problems -- West County dipshits trying to use Vienna as a means to get from their outlying boondocks homes to work in Tysons. They end up being backed up on 123 for extended periods. Good for them. Take the Metro next time.

Thou doth post too much wanton bullshit. Falls Church is a decaying shit-hole. There is really no debate over that. It lacks everything that such a place ought to have. Your stupid babble changes none of that.

I used to throw darts at The Broad Street on Thursday nights back in the 90s, in part because they had free Alaskan crab legs during happy hour on Thursdays. Those were the days. But it was definitely in Mason Square where the Four Provinces is now.

Every impediment and every bit of traffic affects those living there more than anyone else. Every day out. Every day back in. There are no secrets. Just unavoidable traffic.

Glad to see we're all in agreement now that Falls Church sucks. It's refreshing to see folks on different sides of the aisle work out their differences and come to agreement on the major topic at hand. :-) Now we can debate the other, less important subjects such as the former name of some stupid restaurant or Vienna's traffic woes.

What a thoroughly stupid thing to say! Hardly surprising from a whacked-out Falls Church douchebag, however. The victims of Vienna traffic are those trying to go THROUGH the town from west to east in the morning rush and the opposite in the afternoon. By design, their options are to sit and stew on 123 or to divert onto various bypass routes that allow them to go around the town entirely. Actual town residents are merely trying to LEAVE Vienna in the morning, and they know better than to try to use 123 as any part of accomplishing that. As a shut-in over at Sunrise of course, you wouldn't know much about that. All you would know is what you can take a weak stab at from your silly misreading of google maps.

As someone who has demonstrated his inability to distinguish the difference between the north and south sides of Broad Street in Falls Church, it is hardly surprising you can't navigate the 20+ primary streets in Vienna.

Perhaps I was not sufficiently clear yesterday, so here is a little more detail. I and a number of friends and co-workers were regular patrons of The Broad Street back in the 1990s. It was one of our go-to spots, especially for Thursday happy hours. All of us -- male and female -- were dart-throwers back then, with about half I would say having been active as WADA team members, maybe more than that during the summer season. There is no confusion at all as to where The Broad Street was located. It was at 105 West Broad Street in the George Mason Square building. Where Ireland's Four Provinces would later open up.

Well, thank God he told us that scallop season was long past and reminded us of how easy it is to get from LaGuardia to midtown Manhattan on that convenient even though long-defunct water taxi service. LOL! What a total asshole!

Dogfood is on the north side of the street. That's why it has an even-numbered address. The Broad Street -- now Ireland's Four Provinces -- is on the south side, which is why it has an odd-numbered address. Was that too deep for you, dumbass?

Wrong, asshole. As demonstrated by Yelp! Broad Street was located at 132 Broad Street.

When you Google Broad Street Tavern, the first thing that comes up is Dogwood.

I've made a mess of you once again. I realized that instantly. You've been flattened out in the middle of Broad for all the patrons of Dogwood (formerly Broad St.) and the Four Provinces to see.

I think I've got a better picture now. Still, The Broad Street was a really nice place, with or without darts or free Alaskan crab legs. My wife used to travel some for work, and the kids just loved that, first because they got to "camp out" in the guest room while she was away, and second, because one night in there, we were going to go over to The Broad Street where I would have a beer or two and throw some casual darts while they would have enough quarters to spend a couple of hours on the Video Poker machines at the bar. Some great memories over there. Sorry it went away.

I've come nowhere close to stepping into you. I've bested you once again, of course.

PS - isn't it about time for your made up trip to the Space Coast. You've got about two weeks to make up the details of your fake trip. If you were actually going, I'd buy you a bag of peanuts, but we both know you aren't.

Sorry, not the same person Asshole... There are lots of us here who abuse your dumb ass on a regular basis. I couldn't give a shit about how to get around the mess that is Vienna or what dumpy little place there was located where. I know that it's hard to keep track of who's saying what when you're responding to your own idiot sock puppet posts. lol

BTW, did you mean this shuttle which you (wrongly as always) claimed stopped operating in 1998?

Quote

"Circle Line would not be the first to offer business travelers an alternative to taxicabs as a way to get from the Wall Street area to La Guardia. Delta Air Lines provided a similar service, which was operated in its later years by New York Waterway, until the end of 2000, when the service closed."

Doh! lol

Realized what? That a couple of morons agree on something? Idiots agree with false premises all of the time. That's what makes them idiots.

You seem to have your locations mixed up. The local newspaper even indicated that Dogwood took over the spot from Broad Street in 2008.

Dogwood Tavern is opening Thursday, April 24 at 132 W. Broad Street in Falls Church. The new casual dining restaurant will serve slightly southern American fare including a raw bar. While Dogwood Tavern is in the space previously occupied by Broad Street Tavern, owners Chris Lefbom, Adam Lubar and Wilson Whitney have made dramatic improvements and changes to the interior and have added outdoor seating in the back. Entertainment will include live acoustic music and sports on large flat screen televisions. Lefbom, Lubar and Whitney also own and operate Ragtime www.ragtimerestaurant.com) and Rhodeside Grill (www.rhodesidegrill.com).

Looks like you were mistaken. I'm sure it's not the first time and it certainly won't be the last.

Locust St. and Park Terrace Ct. have some nasty, nasty little shoeboxes. It is no wonder there are so many crime reports from there.

Falls Church only beaten by horribly overcrowded Alexandria and Arlington. That's got to hurt. Badly.

Why are housing prices high where density is high, and housing prices are low where density is low? That makes no sense.

Because it's just a trivially simple population/sq miles calculation based on larger political boundaries and doesn't reflect building density and variations within, characteristics of real estate as far as single-family vs multi-tenant, proximity to other centers of activity, or many other variables which affect real estate values.

In other words, it's just a dumb stat used by mopes trying to show that one over-built suburban shit hole is better than another over-built suburban shit hole.

Makes perfect sense to anyone with an IQ over 50. :-) You see, Falls Church is like a loser magnet. It attracts losers far and wide who have to work in downtown DC, but who don't want to live in a city or a city-like environment and who can't afford the nicer areas of DC itself or the likes of Alexandria. But unless you're willing to sit in traffic for hours a day, these things simply don't go together. So you end up with city-like "suburbs" like Falls Church - overcrowded, traffic laden, noisy, concrete-as-far-as-the-eye-can-see towns that bait losers into moving there with promises of suburbia paradise. But alas, it simply isn't to be, and once a person goes through the effort of moving there, it's very difficult for them to ever admit to themselves that they had the wool pulled over their eyes. :-)

Hope this helps!

There are two Locust Streets in Vienna, as those actually familiar with the Town would have known. The one in the SE quadrant is home to tenement-like, 3000 sqft townhomes that list for just under a million bucks. They are actually snow-bird homes, designed for those who live here in the summer months, then head down to warmer climes for the winter. One of those is on the market right now. Note the personal elevator. Does your dump include one of those?

No, it wasn't you fabulously disinformed dipshit. It was located where IFP is today. But you are one of the few to be so fucking stupid that you don't recognize the simple fact that Google-logic always gives you the next best thing. It can't find "The Broad Street Restaurant" anymore, so it gives you "restaurants on Broad Street". You just fall flat on your face (yes, again) as the result of something that simple. This is because you are a completely worthless failtard. In plain and simple fact, there is not now and never has been any connection at all between The Broad Street Restaurant and Dogwood Tavern. You are just too fucking stupid to have followed the bouncing ball in real time. Instead, you now expect to be able to stand here and contradict people who actually frequented The Broad Street twenty years ago without making an even bigger fucking asshole of yourself than you already have. THAT plan is not working out well for you at all, you pitiful moron.

Is that your famous ENVY and BUTTHURT showing yet again? Hahaha! Stew in it, you miserable degraded Falls Church unfortunate. Meanwhile, we are very much looking forward to the 2017 trip to the Nats' new Spring Training home in Palm Beach, but we've been to Viera so many times now that we're doing something a little different this year -- flying down to Atlanta for the Nats season opener at Turner Field. We'll be back here of course and sitting in our usual season-ticket Club Level seats for the home opener against The Fish. I don't exactly expect to be bumping into you or any other such urchins at either venue though. So, you can go back to the burning pangs of eating your heart out now. So, unless you live down along the Prince William border or the far western edge of the county, Fairfax really isn't all that different.

Bwahahaha! There isn't ANYONe who does that, and it's only you who is fucking dumb enough even to try. As the result, you get royally fucked over in one thread after another after another. The notion of "Once bitten, twice shy" simply does not apply in your brutally battered case.

> I couldn't give a shit about how to get around the mess that is Vienna or
> what dumpy little place there was located where.

Then why are you posting here? The simple facts as reported by eyewitnesses are that The Broad Street and Dogwood have no historical connection at all. It's perfectly plain that unlike them, you never visited The Broad Street during its time in operation, and have simply been baffled into passing yet another of your infamous stinky, smelly Google-farts.

> BTW, did you mean this shuttle which you (wrongly
> as always) claimed stopped operating in 1998?

Yes, that's the one, and in your miserably failed claims to have actually eaten at Esca (a so-so midtown Manhattan seafood spot that Google was good enough to find for you), you were easily manipulated into naming the Delta Water Shuttle as the water taxi you so often took into town from LaGuardia on your various "former job" visits to corporate HQ. In fact of course, the Delta Water Shuttle ceased to exist as of May 1, 1998, when the operator folded and had its assets taken over by NY Waterway. As long ago noted, those folks did attempt unsuccessfully to operate the service under their own brand, but it was all folded up for good in 2000.

The take-away here continues to be that you are nothing but a worthless lying no-account asshole who knows nothing about scallops, has never eaten at Esca, and has never taken any water taxi at all from LGA to Manhattan. Let's face it -- you're just a big fat worthless lying piece of shit, and I'll be happy to prove that a second hundred times if I have to. It isn't as if you pose any sort of challenge here.

Read the table in the original link stupid. Even Fairfax City itself has half the density of Falls Church. Night and day difference.

Another Google-fart from the undisputed champion of them. The Broad Street ceased to exist in 1997 when the original owners of IFP took the place over. Maybe it was all those free Alaskan crab legs that pushed them over the edge.

High-income people avoid Falls Church City like the plague. It won't sink into the "brains" of cement-heads this time either, but the simple facts are that Census finds ALL of Ashburn, Brambleton, Cascades, Dranesville, Dunn Loring, Fairfax Station, Floris, Fort Hunt, Franklin Farms, Gainesville, Great Falls, Kings Park West, Kingstowne, Lake Barcroft, Linton Hall, Lowes Island, Mantua, McLean, Montclair, Mount Vernon, Newington, Oakton, Purcellville, South Riding, Vienna, and Wolf Trap to have HIGHER median household incomes than Falls Church City. People who can afford to, go live someplace else. Simply put, FCC is a TOTAL FAILURE at this point as an actual suburban community. It succeeds brilliantly however as a decaying shit-hole.

The data are the data. There's no mystery there. Dunn Loring and Falls Church City for instance are each tiny little places -- just over two square miles. But Dunn Loring has FIVE THOUSAND fewer people packed into that space. If you don't think that makes a difference in quality of life, you no doubt live in the one of those two that's a decaying shit-hole

PS. Your continuing advertisement of the fact that the handle "Major Barbara" is a sore spot with you (apparently due to having had the living shit kicked out of you at City-Data by a poster of that name) only makes people here laugh at you more. By the way, City-Data reports that there are no posts by that user since August of 2015. That's seven months ago. Kind of slow to mend, I guess.

I’m not a fatboi so the elevator has no particular allure. At least those condos provide a great opportunity to hear the sirens and watch the police activity right next door. But you will need to trade in your Escalade for a Prius so you can get it in the garage.

While dirt-scratching peasants are not, I am fortunate enough to be able to go where I want to go and do what I want to do. This has already many times led to the vicinity of Viera, but I have not been to Turner Field before (except during the 1996 Olympics), and since the Braves are moving out to the suburbs next season, this seemed like the perfect opportunity to have a lark and go check it out.

LOL! Your source is ten years behind the times and just as fucking clueless as you. The Broad Street Restaurant (105 West Broad Street) folded sometime in 1997. The space was then taken over by the original owners of IFP. They sold to the current owners in 2004. I realize that all this comes as news to Google-dependent dumbshits such as yourself. Maybe you think the "karaoke Inn" is still open? What an asshole!

Because one of the partners operating the shuttle declared bankruptcy doesn't mean that it stopped running. Over your head to understand that I know. And it very clearly was running long after. Beyond that, mostly what your attempts at staying up all night to super-sleuth ferry schedules on Google proved was that nobody who wasn't there at the time would know the details otherwise. Which I obviously do. Thanks for your support and sorry for your as always long-winded loss.

On one side is a house worth $850k. On the other side are 64 (sixty four) shoeboxes. Across the street are 68. Whatever.

The problem with your Escalade is the turning radius.

LOL! There were no partners, dumbfuck. There was just the franchise operator whom you so foolishly named and pointed to, and who of course had gone belly up in the Spring of 1998, long before Esca opened and even longer before your asswipe claims of having ridden the water taxi. Pathetic. The house next door to that one is worth over $1 million. Along with the next house along and the three houses across the street from those two. Lots and lots of million-dollar homes.

Obviously, you've never driven an Escalade. While it's 14% longer, its turning radius is only 10% larger than that of a Prius. Leave it to you to fuck that up as well. You're on a roll here! The same one you've been on for years.

Yes, your response is pathetic. The idea that being two doors from a house worth $1 million somehow undoes the effect of being next to 100+ shoeboxes is risible. But, we expect nothing less from you.

What matters is turning radius, in conjunction with the width. Apparently, one needs to spell out everything for you. You are dim, aren't you.

Wrong again.

"Circle Line would not be the first to offer business travelers an alternative to taxicabs as a way to get from the Wall Street area to La Guardia. Delta Air Lines provided a similar service, which was operated in its later years by New York Waterway, until the end of 2000, when the service closed."

I didn't even start taking it until after 98 you dumb shit. lol

Looks like Asshole Spotter/LOL.../Dead zone/ ... just had his hat handed to him again.

in more ceremonious days, if someone came to visit you, you would see him to the door at visit's end. Then either you or your butler would hand him his hat, since everyone in those days wore hats, but not inside. Figurative meaning: to be shown the door, to be sent packing. Can be used to mean to be fired. You can use it in a variety of ways, such as: "He expected another term, but the voters handed him his hat." Or, "I was confident that my actions were for the good of the company, but I was handed my hat anyway." Or: "I offered him first crack at my new invention, the one that would save him thousands annually. I didn't expect to be handed my hat and shown the door." Of course, the literal meaning is still valid. If you are looking around for your hat, someone is likely to hand it to you in simple politeness.

It's called killing time at the airport.

Such a pathetic douchebag. The area you were dumb enough to try to disparage is in fact packed with million-dollar single-family homes. Being just a block off 123, there are also office, townhouse, condo, and apartment complexes in the area.

Hahahaha! What an embarrassingly ridiculous retreat THAT was! Anyone could effortlessly pull an Escalade into the garage of any of the snow-bird houses on Locust Street SE. What we have here is just another badly botched attempt to pass off more of your usual and utterly worthless stupid made-up bullshit. What a consistently colossal failure you are! It's really no wonder at all that you are stuck in a dreary and decaying shit-hole like Falls Church!

Just the beneficiary of a proper education. Something you plainly lack in its totality.

Well, you sure complain a lot about all those mean people over there. These brutes appear to be people who have zero City-Data posts in 2016 and yet you are STILL haunted by them. The beatings must have been simply epic to have inflicted scars like that.

> Uh, no. Those obviously aren't my posts dumbshit.

LOL! Yes, they are, you runaway fucking coward.

> Alzheimer's is a bitch huh?

Not so far, and my doctors say I'm at low risk for it in the future.

> Wrong again.

Not at all, fumblefuck. After the operator failed in 1998, water taxi service was operated under its own name by New York Waterway. That effort never found success either, and it folded for good in 2000. There has been no service to or from LGA under any name since. But as we know, you were roped into naming Delta Water Shuttle as the name of the water taxis you took. LOL!

> I didn't even start taking it until after 98 you dumb shit. lol

You never took it at all. In no "former job" did you ever go on any trips to "corporate HQ" in midtown Manhattan, and you have never had as much as an appetizer at Esca, just as you never drank or dined at The Broad Street in Falls Church. Your posts are nothing but transparent flim-flam, and you are nothing but a deranged and transparent asshole.

Oh look! The flailing Fanboi asshole has stooped once again to calling in some of his Fail Army floppers in a vain attempt to prop himself up. Compare and contrast to the decimation brought about by the actual facts introduced by "Dead zone".
