National parks across the country are waiving their admission fees Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

The park service said 127 of the country’s 409 national parks usually charge an entrance fee, which will be waived January 18.

DC is full of nogs, yet you don't see many in the national museums or the zoo. Don't expect them to drive out to the parks either.

Aside from the token ceremonies, what do the nogs do on MLK day?

I made the mistake of doing that one year. If the weather is nice, the place will be packed. Not even worth it. Better to pay to go on some off day. If it's a crappy day and you don't mind the weather then might be OK.

There is a day of the year where nogs from all parts gather at the National Zoo in D.C., and shoot each other.

The day after Easter is Black Family Day. It's fun to watch the white tourists wonder what the hell is going on.

That's the day you wonder why the animals are outside the cages.
