Burglar Nabbed by Police K-9

McLean Police District – Officers arrested a man for burglary following an extensive search. On Monday, May 18 at approximately 11:15 a.m., the homeowner, a 46-year-old woman, returned home to the 7200 block of Churchill Road and found an unknown vehicle in the driveway. As she approached her home, she saw two men running from the rear of the house. She called police who responded quickly. A patrol officer was able to briefly pursue the suspects, but lost sight of them. A perimeter was established while other officers, the helicopter and several K-9 teams, to include a blood hound, searched the area. Approximately two hours later, one suspect was found hiding in the bushes of a nearby home. He was taken into custody without incident. The second suspect has not been located and the investigation continues. The victim was not injured.

An 18-year-old Arlington man was detained and charges are pending. Detectives are still looking for one suspect described as a Hispanic man in his late teens. He was wearing a dark, windbreaker jacket.

If your going to burglarize a house, at least find a place where there's not about 30 police cruisers sitting only a minute or two away.

Where is the evidence that only affluent sections of the County enjoy great FCPD response?

Over the years, I've called the po-po several times and was impressed with their response....and I've lived in decidedly less affluent areas (Rt 1...Annandale).

You peoples' problem is you that want to drive like total assholes and if FCPD has the audacity to stop you, you expect that your brilliant curb-stone Perry Mason arguments to so awe the cop that he'll bow down and apolgize for stopping you.

Hint: Quit driving like assholes (or learn to hold your liquor in public) and you won't need to have this obsession with FCPD!

Yeah I was there at around 12, and there were check points everywhere. Like a mile in every direction. I was surprised, that was the quickest and most extravagant response i've seen to a burglary for a while.
