Sure, as long as you do it legally, over your own property or property where you have permission from the owner.

You cannot use your drone in any public parks in Fairfax County except for Poplar Ford park in Chantilly, and to use it there you must be a member of the Northern Virginia Radio Control Club or an invited guest. http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/plandev/poplarford.htm

You also cannot use your drone without permission in the Flight Restricted Zone around National Airport, which is a 15 mile circle that encompasses all or part of Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Burke, Falls Church, Great Falls, McLean, Springfield, and Vienna. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington,_DC_Metropolitan_Area_Special_Flight_Rules_Area

You can use drones any place you want in Fairfax county so long as it's not a park in the approach to Dulles.
