Sure, as long as you do it legally, over your own property or property where you have permission from the owner.
You cannot use your drone in any public parks in Fairfax County except for Poplar Ford park in Chantilly, and to use it there you must be a member of the Northern Virginia Radio Control Club or an invited guest.

You also cannot use your drone without permission in the Flight Restricted Zone around National Airport, which is a 15 mile circle that encompasses all or part of Alexandria, Annandale, Arlington, Burke, Falls Church, Great Falls, McLean, Springfield, and Vienna.
